any differences between Jap & spec TT front bumper?
But you won't have the holes for the headlight washers ;) I expect they don't work anyway - mine didn't so I left them off when I had my 99 spec front fitted. Richard :D

Oil pressure when cold above 3000 and oil restrictor
How do you know you haven't damaged it by drilling the hole in it? I'd say therein lies the problem ;) Fit a new one without the extra hole and see what your readings are - failing that, if you want more accuracy or detailed readings then fit an aftermarket guage & sender. Richard :smw:

cambelt
I'd go along with this too mate. My 1991 ZX had 62k miles (UK spec, fnsh) when I bought it 2 & 1/2 years ago and the belt had never been changed despite the age of the car. I had it changed owing to the mileage rather than age. If your car has had it changed already but you haven't covered 60k miles since then, leave it. Richard :smw:

How wide on standard rears?
If you have UK spec rear wheels then going for 255/45/16 will be fine. 255s are OK on 8.5 inch wide rims and the overall diameter of the wheel/tyre is not affected that much. If you have 7.5 wide j-spec rears then I'd say no - in fact if you have 245/45 on j-spec rims that's probably too wide mate. Richard :smw:
-
how much more wider can i go?
Hey Indy, 265s are probably as wide as most Porsches, if not wider...... ......as for grip in the wet, wider tyres actually reduce grip. wider tyres give better roadholding in the dry though. Also, going wider than 265 on a 17 inch tyre is pretty rare for any car (except for a Diablo ;) - yes they did run on 17s). so you will be limiting your choice of brands and making replacment more expensive than necessary. Stick with the sizes you have - as Scottywill says, that is pretty much the perfect size anyway. Richard :smw:

wow all joking aside

Porn
Right then, time to get scientific for a brief moment........ ......research has shown that male fidelity is directly linked to testicle sizes...... IE studies of various animals has shown that species with larger testicles are generically more likely to desire more sexual partners. Human males have larger testicles (proportionally, that is) than most other animals thus are more naturally inclined to stray. However the constraints of modern life (read cost of divorce ;) ) and the human desire to "always do the right thing" prevent us males from behaving like our primitive ancestors. Hence we relieve these basic urges with harmless porn. Besides we all want a life partner who is "ours alone" therefore single men have their fun with old slappers but settle down with nice girls. We wouldn't dream of degrading the nice girls we settle down with - it would spoil the image - so for dirty forbidden thoughts etc we turn to porn. Harmless fun in the end - we always come back to "the real thing" ultimately. Feck me, that was heavy - especially after a few stellas and a bottle of wine with our curry this evening...." Richard :D

As I (perhaps mistakenly ;) ) said to Julia a while back, when she was thinking of an early night...... ....."when there's always biscuits in the tin, where's the fun in biscuits"........ Richard :D

40 psi
Doubt it mate...... .....but it may compromise handling in the wet and lead to excess tyre wear. I run on 17s - 255/40 rear and 235/45 front. I find that pretty close to stock tyre pressures gives a positive steering feel and even tyre wear. Too much pressure will also affect high speed stability, as the pressure will increase once the tyres heat up. Richard :smw:

Post came today Good News then Bad News
Basically I blame the fact that the Inland Revenue employ complete baboons ;) Many of the old efficient staff have retired. Have you rang the Inland Revenue lately? Most barely have grasped the English language or left school and these idiots are calculating your tax  OK all calculations are done by computer but there is still some data processing chap/chapess entering the info...... Richard :D
