  1. I believe the ban stays on for as long as any other conviction, however a drink driving penalty remains on your licence for 10 years. Richard
  2. Agree - go to Brugge. http://www.thomsoncities.co.uk Great winter location, good food and fantastic beer  I took Julia there last March - 1st class on Eurostar, it's the only way :D Richard ;)
  3. Mine too - not the zed, just plain "Zed" Richard ;)
  4. What he said
  5. Z32 was officially launched in Spring 1990 in the UK, so the earliest they could be is a G plate and even they were rare. The vast majority of early UK cars would have been H plated Richard :smw:
  6. Does happen. A mate of mine got flashed by a traffic light camera. When he got the NIP he was adamant he had not jumped the red light so asked to see the photo. When he did he pointed out that although it was his car, the traffic light was clearly green! Dopey fekkers at processing place hadn't noticed it - case dropped! Richard :)
  7. Shiney arse, blokes cumming........ Count me out there mate  (Sure gad I don't live in London anymore........... :wack: ) Richard :p
  8. Feck all that - show us the pictures mate  Richard :p
  9. Deffo worth it to one of us mate........ .......sadly the world is filled with the unenlightened :( Richard
  10. Try to contact Vijay - he can get them for a pretty good price. Failing that Mike Feeney - MJP in traders section. I will offer another piece of advice mate - subscribe to the forum! The cost is only £20 and you'll receive more than that back in discounts from traders when you purchase spares etc. Richard
  11. I know what you mean there.... ....a mate of a mate was heavily into kung-fu. He wasn't that big either, maybe 5 feet 7 or so and average build. He carried a small steel baton, say 7 inches long and 5mm thick on his key ring as a weapon of defence. I saw him wipe the floor with 3 fairly big guys armed with knives in a nightclub. The bouncers let him do it too - they were too scared to wade in in case he crippled them  Richard :)
  12. Some sick fekkers out there mate. I'm with the majority on the name and shame action. Do it otherwise he will think he has gotten away with it. All the best mate, Richard
  13. You are indeed correct...... ......it will be a 2005 55 reg as opposed to a 2006 55 reg which will have a small effect on future residuals. If the car is not available for delivery until 2006 why has the dealer registered it in 2005? Also in whose name is the car registered, your friend's? - technically your friend is the keeper of the vehicle from 1st registration if that is the case, otherwise if it is registered in the dealers name the extra keeper is a negative point as well. However, new cars are known to increase in price from one year to the next, so if your friend paid the 2005 price, this would compensate a little. Although I still think it is bad show from the dealer to register the car early when delivery is postponed until the next year - he should raise the issue with them and see what they can offer him in recompense. Richard
  14. Very close then, Craig! Do you take your ZX to work? I used to use mine everyday but decided to buy another car to stop piling on the miles - I currently drive 50 miles a day and have a rare low mileage UK spec car..... Still take it 1 or 2 times a week though, but luckily I have finally sold my house so in a month or so I will have less than half that drive once the new house purchase goes through. I will resume daily ZX usage once the weather improves. deffo have to meet up at some stage..... Richard :)
  15. Me - have been fully paid up for a quite some time now....... .....although not as entertaining as this site, I still feel it worthy of support as it caters for the whole Z-car heritage  Richard :)
  16. Amen Sir Mac....
  17. Hi Mate, I work in Aylesbury (Midshires Business Park - opposite Cannons in Fairford Leys) so I'll keep a look out for you. That looks like Jay's car you have bought....... Richard :smw:
  18. Yawn........ ;) See here :hyper: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=62961 Richard :D
  19. Twin turbo in the USA was SWB only - not sure about how many were targa or slick-top though, but targa was certainly the norm. The Americans did have the 2+2 but only available as an N/A Richard :smw:
  20. Not at all mate...... .....I'll look out for you as I occasionally drive into Wycombe. Richard :D
  21. For your info Z-club magazine has done a feature on both cars. The white one in Top Gear is completely stock, whilst Gio's just has a different exhaust - Gio is well known here as "Captain Stock". Both cars are known to us so your claim that "no one knows if these cars are modified" is complete crap. Also the article on the white zx that beat the 350z explained how they did several runs, swapping drivers etc and the result was still the same each time. Do you just trawl car forums looking for arguements? On behalf of 300zx.co.uk may I politely suggest you f*ck off, grow up and get a life outside cyberspace. There are many wonderful things in the real world worth discovering; like women and beer for instance
  22. Hi mate, M40 is clear as I believe is the M6 toll road. The M6 has SPECS through various roadworks, otherwise it's OK. The NIP must be issued to reach you within 2 weeks, plus a day or so for reasonable postal delay, if you have been caught. Good luck! Richard
  23. Have you not seen Top Gear??? Also a certain Gio from here appeared on a Z-car special with Jezza Clarkson. His 300zx was not performing to its best yet is still showed which is the quickest Z-car in a straight line, stuffing the 350z again.

Good luck to you both :) Don't worry about being nervous the first day - it's perfectly normal. I started a new job in July 2004 for a company I already knew. I worked in an accountancy practice and my new employer was my biggest client for the previous 7 years. I must have been going there every 3 months for 5-6 years but when the MD asked gave me the job as finance director I was still nervous on my first day, despite knowing everyone. I even took my assistant with me - she was leaving my old place anyway so she started at the new place 2 months before me. Still didn't make it any easier though. Don't worry - it will all be fine. Richard :)
