  1. You need the Japanese spec nose panel buddy. UK & European cars only have the Nissan logo. Best bet is to look for someone breaking a J-spec car and buy theirs. I was lucky - someone on here was selling one in the right colour for me so it was a straight swap (Cheers Shrek:bow:)...... Pop an advert in the "wanted" section - you never know your luck! Richard:cool:
  2. Yup - what Mike said - it's not really a common failure or weak spot on a Z32! Richard:)
  3. D'oh.... ....slip of the keyboard buddy. I blame it on the :duffer: Richard:D
  4. RichardS replied to a post in a topic in Club Membership and Enquiries
Good for you buddy - I look forward to seeing you around for a further 12 months..... Richard:cool:
  5. That's wise words from Allan there..... ...and welcome to the club buddy! Richard:cool:
  6. Good call mate.... ......I bought the USA version though as their biggest hit (second chance) is not on the UK version for some daft reason:confused: Richard:)
  7. I know Damo; you're certainly right there..... .....which is why I made sure that Jeff changed my Z's cambelt! Helpful as always Jeff:bow: Richard:cool:
  8. I liked them from series 4 onwards too - that 5.0 V8 was superb..... ......and then the late spec 5.4 was even better in the GTS:bow: Richard:cool:
  9. I don't like them either - and from what I hear they are very poor quality too:nono: Richard;)
  10. Apparently Porsche are planning to release a new GT car; which should be the spiritual successor to the 928 (of which the late spec GTS was my favourite Porsche).... http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/244090/reborn_porsche_928_is_fronting_up.html?CMP=NLC-Newsletters&uid=2f555d35b019662735602e4882432698 I quite like the look of it - what do you think? Richard:)
  11. Good choice of listening mate!! Richard:)
  12. Profound words there......:( RIP LCpl Jimmy Hill; and all those others who gave their lived in service of their (our, lest we forget) country. Richard
  13. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:dance:
  14. I'd take Jeff up on this like a shot mate! Jeff can then give you an honest appraisal of the car; what really needs doing and how much it will cost. Plus if you leave it with Jeff then you can be sure of a top notch job and superb service. Plus you can trust Jeff with your Z Richard:)
  15. Hey Harry, It's not my kind of thing little buddy but I can see its appeal so I voted "fantastic" and I hope you get one for Christmas! Ignore the old cynics on here who say otherwise - they just need to find their "inner child":D I understand Allan - I'd like a chainsaw but Julia doesn't think I should be allowed such a destructive toy:rofl: Still she doesn't know about the axe I have hidden in the garage:D Richard:)
  16. Many happy returns buddy!! Richard:dance:
  17. Hey all, I just bought this album and I have to say I'm very impressed:dance: Excellent rock tracks that are just made for a 300zx....... .......here's a couple of my favourites..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjcNTkuEVig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMo45wN81Rw&feature=related Richard:)
  18. And there was me thinking you were going out on the lash to forget your hard day Allan........:duffer: .....That's what I thought when I read the title - but I'm stumped as to what they meant??? Richard:p:cool:
  19. I went there on my birthday back on 2008 - I didn't get out on the track though..... ......maybe next time!! It was definitely worth a visit and if you get the time afterwards get accross to The Brooklands Museum;) Richard:D
  20. UK spec cars were all LWB twin turbos either auto or manual (mostly auto probably!) Richard:)
  21. Hi mate.... ......good to see you're still around!! And many happy returns too Pete:duffer: Richard:cool:
  22. Wow - that is just awesome:bow: A series 2 manual and it even has the same tyres Nissan fitted from the factory - the Michelin MXTs (I think that's what they were called)!!! Such a rare find there Jeff; thanks for sharing that! Richard:)
  23. Sounds like mine Stu; does it have a nice set of Azev wheels...... .......There is one club sticker on the L/H rear quarter and another in the tailgate. Oh and it did have my private plate on during my ownership I sold it to Pistol Pete back in July but he got shot due to the (rebuilt) auto box failing soon after purchase; plus a tubby was on its way out:( The interior is truly first class considering it's original; hopefully it's (still) in good hands as I love(d) that car!! Richard:smw:
  24. Wise words from my buddy Isaac:bow: Nissan recommended a 10w40 semi-synth but now that decent fully synthetics are freely (and quite cheaply) available why not go for the ultimate protection for those turbos? Plus a fully synth won't need changing quite so often - I use any premuim brand 5w40 fully synthetic (usually Shell Helix Ultra to collect the "plus-points";)). I have it changed annually or after 5-6k miles! But any similar grade by Mobil/Castrol/Millers etc etc will be just grand! Richard:cool:
  25. Yup - an expensive job to remove the engine..... ......and whilst you're doing it then why not replace all those niggly buts Uno refers to above. Plus if you're removing the turbos; why not do a full recon rather than just replace the oil seals! As you have previously been advised, if the car runs good; boosts well and does not consume much oil, leave it alone! The occasional puff of blue smoke is just inconvenient and not a real problem!! Richard:)
