Why don't people know the size of their cars?
I know mate - that really pisses me off as well:rant: And half the time it's people in poxy little cars like Fiestas etc; who drive down the middle of the road:slap: I hope you can polish it all out buddy. Richard:(

Yay! Finally got me a Z :)
Welcome to the club mate! And that's a nice, tidy UK spec - always good to see - and I do like it in white:hyper: Richard:)

The New Car:D!
That's what I'd do too mate..... ......then with your daily use it should improve; especialy if it's been sitting around for a while! Good luck with it Craig. It's good you are "on the up" after your recent experience! Richard:smw:

need a bit of help guys (xmas pressies)
Just my observation...... .......but it's not going to be a surprise for him on Christmas Day if he reads this thread;) Richard:p PS...... I'd go with Isaac's suggestion. HID lights are one of the best upgrades for a ZX and Danny at DTA does them delivered for less than £100! Can't go wrong with that........

New Lexus. More than a little like the GTR??
I do like that!! Richard:D

Any Royal Mail Employee's on the Forum?
I have to agree with both the above statements. Times must and inevitably do change and the PO must get with it. You simply cannot pay staff wages for an 8 hour day when they only work (say) 5 hours - that's poor business sense. And even if the PO remains nationalized; that's our tax money down the u-bend, which could be going towards a better NHS or (heaven forbid) clearing some of Gordon's national debt:( Richard:nono:

Front calipers - at the rear??
Also I'd say that it's not worth the bother - you need more braking force at the front anyway; so if you're upgrading the rears just go for better pads and possibly discs. Richard:)

Nokia N97
Personally I hate touch screens and will not get one! The E71 is not a bad phone - we use them at work... Richard:cool:

new bumper delivered.
Very nice Dan! 99-spec front is definitely the best bumper. And at that price a real bargain!! FYI the 99-spec indicators are all tinted mate.... Richard:)

hopefully going to buy this car today.
Hi Craig, That 406 does look good value mate! I'd say £550 is a steal; but hopefully he'll go with £500..... Good luck buddy! Richard:)

I know - i thought the same when I test drove that very car before Phil bought it. I reckon it could outbrake my SLK!! I'd say it just shows how good the ZX brakes were when the car was new:bow:; before the repeated stopping of a 1.5 tonne 155mph GT car took its toll on the original systems in most of the rest of our cars! Richard;)

Zed no more
My thoughts too mate (except I'd have said "testament!"):( Whilst it's no consolation, the car can be replaced whereas you cannot buddy! I hope you get everything sorted swiftly; ATB Richard:)

It could be mine mate..... ......I don't work at a body shop; but mine was at Baldwin's body repairs for most of this week having some minor paint rectification. I work quite near Baldwins though; on the industrial park near Nuffield (formerly Cannon's) Gym. Although I only use my ZX once a week to drive to work; it's mostly a weekend/holiday toy! Nice to be spotted though - if it was mine (below!):D Richard;)

did i dream it!
Have to agree 100% with Kim and Stella there - that just should not be posted on the forum full stop! And I second the praise for Groover for getting rid ASAP:bow: Richard

What do you reckon on these?
I like the old school SL - but definitely the 500 V8 as the 300 is very underpowered. As for scuttle shake, I very much doubt it! The 500SL was £50k plus back in 1990 and Merc built them like tanks; with plenty of reinforcement. Also remember that it was built from the ground up as a soft top (as opposed to a "hot hatch" cabriolet that would originally have been a hard top with the roof cut off). I've got a 2006 SL350 and roof up or down, it's as solid as a hard top:D I agree with Allan; I'm not a BMW fan (although I've become quite keen on Mercedes over the last few years being on my second one now;). But both BMW and Mercedes do make some nice cars; the former with the M5 and M6 and the latter with the SL/SLK/AMG black ranges. Richard:)
