  1. Looking good Isaac - and I love your seats mate!! Richard:)
  2. As above - Apexi are the best; both for filteration and flow. They are normally not too pricey when compared to a Blitz.... ......however they are in short supply at the moment and when they do arrive in people's stock they can be expensive!! I ended up buying a K&N universal filter with a 4 inch AFM adaptor as I couldn't get hold of the Apexi. Contact Danny at DTA - he's the best source of Apexi filters.... Richard:)
  3. Hi all, I know this should be simple but I'm having trouble backing up folders containing photos onto a CD. Is there an easy way to do it - I'm sure I have done this many a time before.....:o Thanks, Richard:)
  4. With a van it doesn't matter - if an employee travels from home to various places of work then he/she is allowed to take the van home anyway; since they could be classed as working from home. Also after April 2005, commuting to/from work no longer constitutes private use! http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vans/employer-guidance.htm Richard:cool: PS - I'd not bother having it sprayed! For the cost of buying the van then the £s spent on the respray I'd have thought it would be best to buy a brand new one in your choice of colour anyway......;)
  5. Looks quite a tidy late Uk spec apart from the damage! Could be a simple repair too..... Richard:cool:
  6. Good call mate:) I like Twinings as well - although I go for the decaff at work (too much caffeine gives me a racing heart:o). Taylors is also very good (see "Betty's" reference above:D).... ......I have recently discovered a blend grown in Cornwall. It's bloody expensive though!!! Especialy considering it doesn' have to be shipped over from India, China or Kenya......:x: http://www.tregothnanshop.co.uk/search.asp?types=%2A%2ATEA+%3E+Earl+Grey Richard;)
  7. Excellent news! Thanks for the reminder Kim:cool:
  8. Yup me too - a rather nice half naked light;) Richard:dance:
  9. Hi buddy, I'd also replace the det sensor and harness.... .....good luck with your project! Richard:cool:
  10. Lol Kim..... ......but then I'm just another crazy tourist from the south:rofl: Richard:D
  11. No quite true Si.... ........Unsubbed members are allowed to view the for sale threads and buy if they want! Pistol Pete was not subbed when he replied to my thread and bought my car back in the summer;) Richard:)
  12. That's my preferred choice all the time!! And you have Betty's/Taylor's on your doorstep!! I make the trip up there just to have lunch in Bettys....... Richard:)
  13. Auto and manual are both the same floor pan shape so they will fit..... .....BUT please do not buy from this seller!! I placed an order and after 6 weeks he told me that "the factory had lost the pattern, so he couldn't supply the mats." I did get a full refund though; instead I purchased Autostyle ones - a bit more pricey but worth it. If you want something cheaper then Autostyle do make an entry level mat for a similar price as the E-bay ones: For the Premier mats at about £60 (well worth it though): http://www.autostyle.co.uk/ Or for the cheaper entry level: http://www.car-mats.co.uk/ Richard:)
  14. Heh heh - no digital cameras in 1987 and I can't find any "old style" photos to scan..... Richard:D
  15. Nice looking car Allan..... Richard:)
  16. Don't worry about that - the tester will never notice! The dipped beam is a projector type lense anyway so as long as they work and the beam pattern/aim is fine it will pass. I had them in my red Z for years and it must have passed at least 5 MOTs with them in...... Bi-Xenon means both dipped and full beam - H4 bulbs are installed in many cars and combine both full and dipped in one bulb. The ZX has 2 separate lamps for full and dipped; so you only need single bulbs in the dipped beam holders! For a 300zx dipped beam you need the H3 kit. H3/H3C (for UK/J-spec respectively) both have the same shape base plate on the bulb. H1 is full beam only!! As a few above (including Smithy who sells them;)) have said it's most definitely H3 that you need!!! Richard:)
  17. Hi all, I have used my Z for the drive to-from work twice this week; each time I returned home in the dark...... ..............and I have to say that fitting HIDs is definitely the BEST simple upgrade everyone should do to a 300zx. I drove home on twisty country B-roads at 55-65mph and didn't need full beam once! Upgrade your headlights - it's best £100 you'll spend on your Z:hyper: Richard:)
  18. I called 300 first:tongue: Richard:rofl:
  19. ...Or the photo/negative has been reversed:D Check out the dials on the dash and the radio - they are clearly the wrong way round!! It's a LHD car and the pic is reversed!!! Richard:tongue:
  20. I'll go for an inspired number......... .....how about 300:p Richard:cool:
  21. Heh heh - of course! That's because my zed is running perfectly too:D Richard:)
  22. No - it's down to data protection.... .....unless you know someone in the Police who could run a vehicle check; or you operate an immoral private clamping company and therefore have paid DVLA a fee to enable you to identify and rob drivers of their hard earned, then you cannot find out! Richard;)
  23. So true!! People usually post in the "help and advice" section when there's something wrong with their Z and they want to know what it is/how to fix it! And, yes we are talking about a 14-20 year old junior supercar here; which is likely to have been driven "enthusiastically" at various points in its life so things will go bad eventually; like with any car. On the whole though the 300zx is still a Nissan and as such (generally) still has that Japanese reliability factor! You just don't see many posts saying "My ZX is running perfectly!!" when most of the time, they probably are..... Richard:)
