  1. Exactly what he said..... .....although technically all 300zxs are imports since none were ever built at Nissan's Sunderland factory - they were all made in Japan:tongue_smilie: But of course some were made specifically for the UK market and the only true way to identify a UK spec car is by the 17 character VIN number. J-spec cars have a shorter VIN number..... Check the V5 document and the VIN plate under the bonnet. Richard:cool2:
  2. Nice....erm...... ......background scene(s) Richard:oops:
  3. That one again is not really my thing..... .......but it's not bad though - very much like a Bugatti EB110.... Richard:innocent:
  4. Not too mad on that one mate!! Richard:oops:
  5. Welcome to the club.... ....and you could do a lot worse in your search than browse our "cars for sale" section. There's usually a decent one or two going in there..... Good luck mate! Richard:chef:
  6. Such a sad occurrence; otherwise only seen in the mad sad religious cults from places like Waco in the USA..... ......brings back memories of Michael Ryan in Hungerford back in the 1980s. I still can't pass the M4 exit for Hungerford without thinking of that incident. RIP to all the victims. Richard
  7. LOL - neither do I so I don't care! I'll not be watching any of it.........:tt2:
  8. Long time no see mate! Yes, I did have a red ZX!! However whilst I was thinking of carrying out a few improvements, PhilP put a very nice, low mileage, blue 1994 UK spec Z up for sale. The cost of buying it, less what I sold the red one for, came to a lot less than I would have spent on the red one.......:clown: That was a lovely car mate - I was never keen on yellow either until I saw yours!! Richard:thumbup1:
  9. Spot on mate - that and the Ebay culture. We all know just how much top quality items for these cars cost; but when you have new owners paying £1000 for their whole ZX on Fleabay they unfortunately want to modify it on the cheap as well. And they'll be the ones crying into their beers when it all goes wrong!! Yes, you are selling some very expensive items and, despite the comments you have received, I believe that somewhere out there is your buyer. You just have to persevere until that person finds your advert. Those Blitz rims, for example, are the dogs danglies. But at £2k are too rich for someone with a £2.5k ZX. However someone no doubt will be looking at building a £20k ZX and suddenly your wheels are a bargain to him considering their new cost! Don't get negative mate - stick it out and I'm sure you'll find that elusive buyer. Richard:cool2:
  10. Welcome to the club mate!! Richard:sorcerer:
  11. That's my view as well............. .....especially on a black car - I'm paranoid about any marks as they really show on black paint!! However I have often wiped down the cars with Meguairs NXT detailing spray between weekly washes, just to remove light dust or rain marks. But only when the car is essentially clean anyway! Richard:chef:
  12. That's an absolute corker of a car - a rare find indeed and only £6k....:scared: I hope whoever buys it appreciates it for what it is...... ....................I'd definitely buy that if I were in the market for another Z right now!! Richard:cool3:
  13. Welcome to the club buddy! Richard:cowboy:
  14. Exactly mate - that puts me off one:whistling:
  15. The new Z4 folding hard top comes with a 3 litre twin turbo engine and 306bhp (in i35 guise). They are good for 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds with the tiptronic box. I have been looking at buying on myself...... ....and then there's the s-drive35is (or something like that) with 340-ish BHP and 0-62 in 4.8!! More than a match for a stock ZX-TT......:surrender: Richard:balloon:
  16. LOL - that's exactly where he got it from.....:tt2:
  17. Yup - I agree with what Phil says!! The bigger the rim the lower profile tyres you have; thus keeping the rolling radius constant (so as not to upset speedo/ABS etc). Check the T&Cs there mate! Sometimes the AA/RAC will not provide free assistance for a puncture if you do not carry a servicable spare - ie it's your own fault if you cannot be "put back on the road." Richard:thumbup1:
  18. Hi Mikey, The Nissan ready mixed is obvoiusly a good choice and not too expensive either. Halford also do a ready mixed formula; otherwise any decent brand (non-alcohol based) will do. Richard:cool3:
  19. I've just got off the 'phone to my dad and he told me he has just bought himself...... .......a unicycle....:scooter: Yup a unicycle. At 74 years old. With a heart condition..... ........I think he has definitley gone mad (this time)!!! Richard:oops:
  20. Welcome to the club Rod - that looks a tidy example you have there.....! As for the oil pressure problem, it's quite common for the sender unit to go bad; giving a low reading on hot idle. There are 2 solutions - aftermarket gauge/sender or replace the stock sender. Be warned though, the stock sender unit will cost you around £80; even from our traders at their reduced rates:oops: And don't bother buying second hand; it will not last 5 minutes:helpsmilie: Richard:chef:
  21. Welcome to the club mate!! And subscribed already - a big thanks for your support as well. Richard:cool2:
  22. Welcome to the club Jason! Richard:cool2:
  23. LOL - are they male or female Si.....:confused1: Richard:whistling:
  24. Sorry guys - I hate that.....:blushing: Richard:w00t:
  25. Congratulations Joel - to you both!! I hope the job situation improves for you too... All the best, Richard:cool2:
