Come on you spurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whilst I'm not a football fan, I have always secretly wished Spurs success. When I lived in London, they were my nearest (top flight - Orient was closest) team geographically. So I did occasionally visit "The Lane" And of course as long as anyone beats Arsenal that's a good thing......:whistling: Richard:cool3:

General Election 2010
Spot on - I agree with your statement as well. Whether or not you agree with all the policies of the candidates standing for election; there must be one of them who comes closer to your ideals than all the others. Even if he/she does not fit your bill entirely. To vote excercises your rights in a democracy and should ensure that democracy is always the winner. If no-one voted then elections would cease to be called and the UK could descdend into real chaos under an enforced dictatorship. One only has to look at Zimbabwe or any banana republic with a permanent "El Presidente." Richard:cool3:

question about the 350z
You're probably right there mate! I don't know how much you'd be talking about for modifying; but I'd say more £s per BHP than a turbod car. Richard:biggrin:
-
question about the 350z
Why bother? - it has between 276 and (IIRC) 315bhp in standard form depending on year and model spec; so it doesn't really need turbos! Also there were the cost implications. The 350z was quite reasonably priced and was the equal (or superior; depending on what reviews you believe) to its rivals so I guess turbos weren't necessary. Richard:cowboy:

mot/road tax question
As long as it's pre-booked then you are allowed to drive it to and from the MOT station (even if it fails). I believe that you can also drive it to a pre-booked garage for MOT failure repair works. Of course the vehicle would have to be fully insured to drive it. Richard:batman:

The 944 Turbo was a good car as well...... Richard:thumbup1:

928
Yeah!! When I started work in the late 1980s, one of the partners had the 928 S4; it was virtually new back then!! I remember going with him to see a client in Goathland, Yorkshire. He picked me up from my house in London and we covered the journey in less than 3 hours!!! I remember him racing a V12 XJ-S along the A1 and handing the Jag its ass!!! Richard:thumbup1:

928
Nothing wrong with the 928 Bri! I have always loved them - in fact I was looking to buy one before I bought my first Z. However after driving the Z I was hooked and thought it represented batter value...... ......I'd still have one now!! The last cars were the 5.4 litre GTS; production of the 928 stopped around 1995-ish. So you'll get an M (or possibly N) plate; but they tend to be a lot more expensive than the slightly earlier 5.0 litre S4 or GT models. Last year a garage in my village was selling an M reg one (with 70k miles and FPSH) for about £18k. Lovely!! Superb engines - gotta love that big V8!!! Richard:cool3:

Wiring in stereo
Sorry mate - i don't. However I do remember that if you examine the plugs already in the car and match them to the adaptor, it is the (only) one with no corresponding wire in the aftermarket adaptor! I hope that makes sense..... Richard:cool3:

Oil grades help req
For Silverstreak, considering the modifications and power, I'd recommend either 5w50 (which ever brand Oilman sells in that grade) or Castrol 10w60. Richard:chef:

Wiring in stereo
When I replaced the head unit in my first ZX I found that the Nissan to ISO adapter did not have a live power feed to run the stock amp for the rear speakers. (UK spec car). So to fix the problem, I identified the live accessory wire (which runs the electric aerial) and the feed for the amp; and joined them (ISO side) using a scotchlock connector. I remembered this with my second ZX and did the modification right away! Richard:cool3:

anybody know anything about cookers?
It's a silly question..... .....but have you reset the clock? My gas cooker has an electric digital clock; however following a powercut, the oven and hob will not operate (even though they are gas) unless the clock time has been reset! Just a thought..... Richard:chef:
