  1. Manny happy returns buddy - have a great day!! Richard:sorcerer:
  2. I'd doubt the "wrong bulbs" would cause a failure as the MOT test covers headlamp operation and aim...... ...unless the tester had a suspicion that the bulbs were not legal and looked closer for a CE mark; which is unlikely? When you say HIDs do you mean a proper HID conversion or just regular H3 bulbs with the so-called HID tint? Either way, E-bay is your friend for cheap items; or for quality and reliability contact Danny at DTA in the traders' section. Richard:cool3:
  3. Anything is possible with enough work or money thrown at it...... ........but in any case, I'd guess some modifications to the seat chassis would be required. One thing though - if your rear seat is ripped then a 350z one won't be of any use....... ......because they don't have them! The 350 is a 2 seater. Richard:oops:
  4. That's awsome!! Richard:cool3:
  5. Many happy returns Dave - hope you had a good day matey!! Richard:donatello:
  6. I agree mate! Richard:cool2:
  7. Top tip there Si....... ........and yes; wipers should not be so visible!! That does sound expensive though - my SLK has that type of wiper blade and the OEM ones from a Merc main dealer cost me £14.46 a pair plus VAT!! Richard:w00t:
  8. I agree - a truly sad loss to rock music..... .....one of the great "Rock and Roll Children!!" Richard:cry:
  9. I did see one solitary burgundy N/A in Great Missenden a couple of years ago; and I did see TonyB's lovely green ZX in the local Shell garage. But apart from that, no..... ......However I work in Aylesbury and there are a few knocking around there. ZX-TT (Craig) and Mark Stevens work and or live there; plus there someone who works at the Arriva bus garage drives a red J-spec TT. Oh, and I also saw TonyB's car in the Sainsbury's car park when he lived in the area. Richard:cool3:
  10. Welcome to the club!! And that looks a good, clean example too. I notice you also have the later spec seats (and possibly door cards, although the seat belts are still in the doors, the trim looks like the S2 alcantara); even though it's a G-plate...... Richard:thumbup:
  11. My personal opinion is similar to that of the Top Gear team..... .....forget hybrid shite like the Prius or Insight and buy a decent turbo diesel car instead. Something like the Golf TDi or the new Astra TDi Eco-flex are the way to go. Better MPG; better performance and they don't look like crappy electric cars either. Plus with the Astra TDi Eco-flex; emissions are below 110g of CO2 so the road tax is a big fat zero!! Yes, that's right - I've just bought a new Astra estate Eco-flex (cost £16.5k) as a company car for someone at work and sure enough, the road tax does not cost a bean. And it's about 110bhp (I think); so without the extra weight that hybrids have to carry it's faster and more economical. Richard:thumbup1:
  12. I have nothing but good things to say about Zedworld...... .........you can't entrust your ZX to a better place IMO! Richard:rockon:
  13. Likewise mate:sneaky2: I'm also quite sad that anything had to be conceded in a deal with Nick Clegg. IMO the Lib Dems were, like Labour, also losers. It seems wrong in my book that Clegg Nut came 3rd yet can hold the country to ransom to get some of his policies passed. If the public actually wanted the Lib Dems' policies then they would have got more votes. I believe that it should have been a simple "Conservatives form a government with Lib Dem support" agreement rather than a full coalition. As for Cleggy being deputy PM; what nonsense!! Hopefully they'll be another election before Christmas and David Cameron can finally secure his majority:yawn: Richard:oops:
  14. I always likes the old Audi S2 as well...... Richard:thumbup1:
  15. LOL - and I reckon you'd be just the person to go and evict him mate!! Now he's homeless, perhaps you could rent him a bedsit Allan...... Richard:thumbup:
  16. GB has done the right thing and finally admitted defeat! David Cameron has been at the Palace and The Queen has asked him to form a government. And not before time IMO - they must have used gas to get Gordy out of No 10!! Richard:thumbup1:
  17. Sorry to hear that Vods..... .....I hope you get it sorted and back on the road with little fuss and not too much cost. As for MOT questions, drop PaulC a line - he's a tester and will give you a straight answer! Richard:balloon:
  18. Excellent news!! And what a top girl you are for encouraging him to see the light!! Richard:tt2:
  19. LOL.... ......congrats on the sale though Matt; hopre you got a good price. And good luck with the 'bike. Richard:chef:
  20. I know - what a farce! In times like this, common sence should prevail. Whilst The Conservatives did not get an overall majority, they certainly did in England. The country has mroe or less endorsed a Conservative government so any attempr by Labour (under any leader) to remain in power is inherantly wrong. And as for the Lib Dems; they failed miserably to win public support so they should not be so arrogant as to think they have the right to hold the key to govermnent. A coalition of losers - that is not democracy. Then there's Lib dem's absurd idea of PR voting...... Why? Only so they can hold the balance of power (and the country to ramsom) for ever. Come on people - we'd have this situation after EVERY election if the Lib Dems got their way!!! I don't have to Steve - that gets my vote already!!! Richard:biggrin:
  21. Looking good mate!! And, I've said it before, but I love your KITT replica. Awesome!! Both cars look good together there in fact....... Richard:thumbup:
  22. Hi Daz, That looks really nice mate!! The piano black finish certainly has a classy updated, almost German, look about it. If you do the side pods, then I'd say do the lower dash panel (the one with the warning lights) as well. After all, they kind of blend into one another..... ......as for the auto shifter, I hate all aftermarket versions for the ZX. The stock leather series 2 onwards is the best one. But if you want to change, then how about the chromed surround from an Audo or VW? Failing that, the latest BMW or Mercedes consoles with leather gaitors look good as well. And I'm sure you could get a piano black knob to match your handiwork. This is the one on my daily driver to give you an idea....... Richard:thumbup1:
  23. Yes - but he was referring to the new one!! Richard:biggrin:
  24. I agree with you Brian; I could not drive for a living either..... ....... if I have a long distance holiday drive I try to do it at the weekend. I did have to visit a customer in the Lake District a couple of months ago so I left home at the crack of dawn. Fortunately traffic was light when I left; M40/M42/M6 toll/M6 were realtively quiet for most of the way and I managed to reach Cumbria in 3 hours!! It did take me longer to get home though - that was a long day and luckily I don't have to do that very often! Richard:crying:
  25. Nice!! Richard:cool3:
