  1. LOL I remember! It was the Christmas market and the Bath Rugby team was playing IIRC. Women - can't live with them, can't kill them!! Richard:cowboy:
  2. Will do Si - every time I head SW I mean to drop in for a cup of tea:blushing: I'll have to check out the summer meets in your area and come down to one. Other than that we sometimes pop down to Bath for a Sunday out and that's not a million miles from you either.... Richard:cool2:
  3. I know exactly what you mean Allan!! Richard:whistling:
  4. Hi Alan, 26 years? Nice one mate!! So holiday aside then, I'd say you're fine with old photos and jade (assume you mean jewellery and not the dead, thick bint from Big Brother!). Add a champagne dinner and I don't think you could do anything wrong. Good luck and best wishes to you both. Richard:cool2:
  5. Hey Si... ....yes - went down on 5th and came home on 12th! I thought you were in the USA though; didn't know when you were back. Sorry buddy!! I didn't take the Z though; a/c compressor needs replacing so I'm off to Jeff's tomorrow. Richard:blush:
  6. You hansome devil Allan...... .......I assume that's you on the right......:w00t: Richard:lol:
  7. I have to agree Daz, Si etc etc..... I hate football too - it's great if you want to go anywhere/do anything as everyone else is watching the game! Last Saturday when we got home from Cornwall, I decided to go out for dinner rather than cook. Julia thought we'd left it too late as everywhere would be busy........ .....fortunately England was playing the USA so, as I thought, every local restaurant was empty and only too pleased for the custom!! Richard:sorcerer:
  8. Congrats mate - how many years? It was mine and Julia's 10th on 3rd June! I don't usually get a present though as we go on holiday to celebrate. Although this year is happened to be half term; so we went for a Thai meal on the day and took a holiday the following week... So why not take her away somewhere nice? Richard:cool2:
  9. Hi Trish, Welcome!! Of course you can come back - you're a part of the furniture on here!!!!! nice to see you...... Richard:thumbup1:
  10. Carbon fibre is not my thing...... ......but I have to say that does look good mate!! Top job; I bet you're pleased with it!! Richard:rockon:
  11. Looking good Craig.... ....and I reckon Blitz wheels will really suit your car. You know, Jaffa has a brand new set for sale at only £2k so I reckon you should go for it!! Richard:thumbup1:
  12. There are 2 on this forum too mate - PhilP and Clint Thrust both own one each........:smartass: Top cars though - and not just "for a Nissan." Didn't the GT-R lap the 'Ring faster than the Veyron too........:whistling: Richard:cool3:
  13. Bad luck mate..... ....I have had my company Barclaycard cloned twice now. Coincidentally each time was after using it in an Indian restaurant; with a couple of transactions in India showing up in the next couple of days. As above, first it's a small amount (£5 or so) and then I get the call from Barclaycard so I have to cancel it and wait for another.....:sneaky2: I hope you get it sorted without too much hassle Lorenzo. Richard:cursing:
  14. Lovely set of cars there Daz - and your 'vert is even better in the flesh!! Richard:sorcerer:
  15. Hi mate, I'll ask Andy to look out for your money and turn you green. I saw your for sale ad and, whilst I've moved it to storage now, I'll move it to "for sale" once you're up and running. ATB - and thanks for re-subbing mate! Richard:cool2:
  16. I'd like to think so too Bri - but sadly I doubt they will....... So now Obama has cajoled BP into pledging some $13bn "deposit" in order to meet compensation claims. Great Idea in a recession:wacko: So now it's unlikely that BP will be paying dividends for a few years; as a shareholder myself I won't personally miss the few pounds I receive a year. However BP share dividends pay £1 in every £6 of dividend income to British pension funds. First "Old Gordy" robbed private pensions blind, then the recession stifled any potential growth and now, just as recovery is imminent, private pension pots are set to lose 16.6667% of their investment income for the next few years. Way to go......:bored: Richard
  17. I agree. And isn't BP 40% American owned now.....? However maybe Obama's playing a bit of "tit for tat." Let's not forget Gordon Brown vocally blaming the recession and the entire financial disaster that hit the UK on "American bankers and the American sub-prime market....." rather than own up to his own inadequate and profligate fiscal policies......!! Richard:chris:
  18. I don't like the tailgate tub either - as said; it really spoils the lines of the car. Horrid. But each to their own, I guess..... Richard:oops:
  19. I have my SLK and Julia's Rav-4 on an Admiral multicar policy. For the last few years. I have paid around £245 for the SLK and £265 for the Rav (I can't understand why the SLK should be cheaper either - unless women are not really the safest drivers.....:innocent:) Every year the renewal comes in with something like a 40% increase and every year I obtain an alternative quote on Confused.com. Each time, Admiral comes out with the cheapest quote by a long way on Confused.com - always in the region of what I paid for the previous year(s). So every year I end up calling Admiral and, sure enough, they lower the price of my existing policy renewal to match or beat their own Confused.com quote????? Why not offer that price in the first place? I haven't changed insurers, despite the obvious rip-off attempts because they always end up the cheapest and, when I did come to claim back in 2008, their service was nothing short of superb! They sorted all the admin efficiently, arranged for the SLK to be repaired by Mercedes and gave me a nice brand new E320 CDi to cruise around in for about 2 months whilst mine was off the road. The Z is with Lynbrooks and that stays around £206 on a classic policy..... Richard:chef:
  20. Hi all, I'm dropping my Z off at Jeff's this Saturday (19th) - anyone else going to be there?? Richard:cool3:
  21. Nice one Allan - I'm pleased you've found one mate!! And that doesn't look like it needs much doing to put it back on the road either!! I hope you get it sorted ASAP as there's nothing like a fast convertible when the sun is shining......:tt1: Richard:sorcerer:
  22. Many happy returns! Richard:happybday:
  23. Cool - another Buckinghamshire Zedder!! I work in Aylesbury so I'll keep a look out for you. Richard:thumbup:
  24. Yup - I also love that car...... .......Ever since seeing JC hammering one across Wales on Top Gear!! I'd be happy with that as a daily driver...... Richard:yes:
