  1. OK chaps.... .....as this is fast becoming a "group buy" situation and there is a clear trading implication; I think this should be put on hold until Znut has granted his approval. I'm going to temporarily close the thread pending a discussion with the rest of The Committee; and Znut has made his final decision. I hope you understand; and thank you for your patience! Richard
  2. Nice one Dave - and I hope you have plenty more trouble-free 000s of miles to come! Enjoy...!! Richard:cool2:
  3. Happy 40th mate!! I had mine earlier this year; it's not so bad.........:whistling: I hope you have a great day!! Richard:cool3:
  4. The poor thing..... ....sorry mate; no ideas but I hope he gets better soon. Richard:(
  5. Good point Jane..... .....but (sadly) there aren't enough ladies on the forum to make it worth while.....:tt2: Richard:oops:
  6. As you're in Bristol Matty, I'd suggest getting your car to Jimmer for a second opinion.... .......I hope it works out good in the end for you mate. Richard:yes:
  7. I also have my ballast units under the front nose panel - it helps if you have removed the original air box and have an induction filter fitted though..... .....however before I binned the air box, I used number-plate fixing pads and stuck the ballasts to the air-intake pipe as a temporary measure. Richard:cool2:
  8. Agreed mate!! Richard:cool3:
  9. Cheers matey!! Richard:flowers:
  10. Welcome to the club Ashley! That is one nice ZX and I'm sure it has ended up at a good home mate.... As Mikey says - you're very near Zedworld so you've no excuse not to let Jeff work his magic on your car! Richard:chef:
  11. I agree..... ....that "replica" is not even a replica! It's just the front end that is similar to the 240z; not for me I'm afraid - now a tidy 240z is a different matter..... Richard:donatello:
  12. Following a recent review, and after discussions with those concerned, it was agreed that Kim and I are more suited to each other's positions on The Committee. Consequently, with immediate effect, Kim and I have swapped roles. Kim has returned to the position of National Events Organizer (a role in which he has always performed a sterling job, planning JAE etc in the past); whilst I have been appointed as the new Club Secretary. So a big thanks to Kim for all the good work he has done for The Club as its Secretary! On behalf of The Committee, Richard Smith
  13. Happy birthday mate! Richard:batman:
  14. Many happy returns Alan - have a great day mate! Richard:batman:
  15. LOL I don't know - where my username came from......:innocent: Richard:tt2:
  16. If you say so Kim......!! This is my wife Julia. She is 35 years old (and probably won't thank me for saying that!) and is a beauty therapist. We've been married for 10 years this year....... Richard
  17. Me too Stu - didn't it belong to a Scottish fella (or maybe very far northern England)? The name Darren being associated with it seems to ring bells with me..... Richard:innocent:
  18. Sorry to see that Stu - poxy animals......:pinch: But that bonnet sure looks shiney mate - still it should polish out with a bit of effort. Good luck! Richard:oops:
  19. Welcome to the club - and good luck in your search for a 300zx! Richard:cool3:
  20. Looks a nice car Dave! I hope to see it if you're over my way during the next few weeks mate!! Richard:chef:
  21. It's a "Y" plate mate....:whistling: Still not bad for the money though - and 95k miles is not that high considering it's 9 years old! Richard:cool3:
  22. True - whilst I like their songs, I also like them sung by others (Like The Soul of Lennon & McCartney tribute from the late 80s; Beatles tracks performed by soul singers of the day). Plus you also have to consider the Rolling Stones - especially as they're still going!! Oh yes!!! In fact, apart from the reality TV tripe that passes for music in the current charts, I think the British can lay claim to the world's best and most influential music and artistes.... ...even the likes of Oasis, Duran Duran, Elton John, George Michael, etc have made their mark on the music scene... Richard:punk:
  23. I have to agree with Kim about the British weather - sure we moan about it; but we're actually quite fortunate. Generally we do not have the extremes that have detrimental effects on other countries; like regular seasonal floods, hurricanes and prolonged droughts every year. Yes, we do have freak conditions and occurrences from time to time but for the most part we are lucky! I happen to hate flying to I tend to spend my holidays going away in the UK and I am happy to say, have been fortunate with the weather (bet that'll jynx it next time:cursing:) Richard:chef:
  24. Like it has been said above; I too, for your sake, hope Legrath is wrong (but he does know a thing or two about the 300zx so I'm thinking the worst....) So worst case - well a new engine! Do what Jeff, Dave et al say and turn that boost down Richard:no:
  25. Great pics there mate - the Z looks good in front of that castle!! Richard:cool2:
