thoughts on this cambelt kit and tensioner?
Echoed above.... .....For waterpump and cambelt, always go OEM; it's just not worth trying to save a couple of pounds in such vital areas!! Richard:cool:

Got given a lecture by a cyclist this morning......
It's not actually illegal here in the UK - although the Highway Code does stipulate that cyclists should ride single file on many roads - it is nonetheless inconsiderate to other road users when groups of cyclists ride 4-5 abreast and do not file in behind each other, if other traffic wishes to pass.....

Hello
Hello and welcome mate! Nice pics there - thanks for sharing. As for what to do with it; assuming it ran OK, get it out more and use it!! Once you get the bug, you won't need to ask what to do with it - it will come naturally...... Richard:cool:

HID's
Interesting point about LED bulbs - and I too look forward to the feedback..... .....I appreciate that OEM LED headlights are installed (with much success) on various high-end German motors; but the last time I read up on retro-fit LED bulb upgrades for the usual H1/H2/H3/H4 set-up, they were not so good. I remember reading they were bright - but only when looking at them; when it came to useable light out-put on the road, the LED upgraded bulbs were poor..... .....But times do change and I am always open to new developments..... If I were to sell my Zed...
LOL - I know what you mean Steve..... ....I still have that occasional hankering for a V8; but also want to keep the ZX. If I had the space for one more car (and, naturally, the permission) then I'd certainly fill that void.... Although probably not with American muscle - but more likely a Porsche 928 s4 or an R129 Merc 500SL from circa 1990-ish!!

Got given a lecture by a cyclist this morning......
As title says, I was stupid enough to give a member of the lycra-wearing Taliban an excuse to lecture me on my poor driving this morning..... It was around 7.15am, dark and wet, as I approached a main road; looking to go straight ahead into the side road opposite. Then, seizing the opportunity of a clear break in the traffic to my right, I dared to move forward across the first half of the road.... Only to have a chap on a bicycle, whom I failed to spot, stop inches short of my driver's door. Said chappie then launched into a tirade of verbal abuse - "Why don't I look where I'm f***ing going....?" "F***ing Mercedes drivers....!" "Do you own the f***ing road....?" etc etc...... I let him carry on for what seemed like ages.... Then when he'd finished, I politely replied.... "Hmmm, it's dark, wet, visibility is pretty poor - but that's no excuse...... For a sanctimonious c**t on a bicycle to be riding all in black; with no hi-vis clothing and above all NO LIGHTS ON HIS BIKE!!!" The twunt shouted back, "I've got my f***ing lights....." then he looked down only to see the harsh reality staring back at him....:nono: He shouted back a final "F**k you!" and scurried off behind me on his merry way. I hope it made his day like it did mine....

Motorbike in Cycle Lane....
What he said..... Sorry to see that Tony; I hope you get it sorted with minimum fuss mate. And as for motorcyclists, just like "regular" cyclists, the majority are fine normal road users - but sadly the ignorant minority tarnish their otherwise good reputation. Richard:flowers:

Is this the thin end of the Wedge?

If I were to sell my Zed...
Very nice, but I prefer the 1982 Firebird - Knightrider style; in black of course... I kind of agree with you; but some of the premium brand new cars are just so good to drive and the Germans are turning out some cracking engines - which go like stink but actually only sip fuel considering their size and BHP! Richard:cool:

Black Friday or the Start of an Apocalypse
I agree mate..... .....And what made me laugh about the whole thing was, on the radio in the days leading up to Friday, there were loads of references, promotions "Black Friday this, Black Friday that" etc.... And then on the day, the very same radio station was reporting on the carnage; lambasting the retailers and saying that [the retailers] should have behaved more responsibly etc etc... What? Pot, kettle, black comes to mind - without the media frenzy beforehand, I doubt the furore would have been half as bad. Fooking press; radio, papers, interweb and TV - they are as equally to blame as the retailers IMO... Another stupid American tradition in danger of taking hold over here... Toss the public a fish and watch them clap like trained seals....:nono:

What did you do to your zed today?
Yup and yup..... ....So today, after covering almost 1100 miles, using it daily in the last 2 weeks, the Zed was in serious need of a wash. Which is what I did to it today.....

Tour of a 300zx
D'oh.... I completely forgot about this.... After completing the Sainsbury's run this morning, I decided to give the ZX a clean.... I've been using it daily since getting back from the Birmingham show - including my trip to York last weekend - so after almost 1100 miles in 2 weeks, it was looking a bit mucky to say the least:blush: Glad you had a good trip out though mate - and met Gio, the font of 300zx knowledge. Good luck in your search though; and hope to catch up with you sometime! Richard:cool:

Happy Birthday N300TT

Now if you'd have asked a few days earlier - I was heading back from York, down the A1/M18/M1 so could have taken a detour....
