RIP Prince
I have just read this myself - such a sad loss to the music industry.... And another of my "must see" acts that I'll never get to see. RIP Prince, you will be missed.

Tyre size on 18s?
LOL - you're welcome mate..... ......And what else would you expect from an accountant....

Interesting headlight setup.
Interesting..... .....Internals aside, at least they have kept the standard headlight casing; which still defines the 300zx look.

Tyre size on 18s?
Bang on.... 265mm @ 35% = 92.75mm so x2 (top and bottom profile)/25.4+18 = 25.3 inch diameter 235mm @ 40% = 94.00mm so x2/25.4+18 = 25.4 inch diameter = close enough!

Tyre size on 18s?
You need to keep the rolling circumference the same (or as close as possible) front to rear..... .....So if you have 265/35/18 on the rear, then you need 235/40/18 on the front.

Can I put a microphone here?
There is a little fan-thing inside the vent in the interior light housing. I'm still not 100% sure what purpose it serves, but when they go bad and get noisy, people do remove the fan! As to whether you could mount a microphone in there, you could, if you removed the little fan. However (and assuming it's for a hands free telephone system), I would question how effective its operation would be. I mounted my Bluetooth mike on the A-pillar; not only was it easier to run the wire up the pillar, but it's in a good spot to function efficiently! As for speakers, rear stock size is 6x4. UK spec cars have a small amp for the rear speakers - but the connections are still normal spade-type (albeit combined in a single plug). There was a Bose upgrade, found on J-spec cars; perhaps yours had that....?

Hello, newbie from Gerrards Cross

Hello, newbie from Gerrards Cross
Hi and welcome Chas! It's great to see another local member too - I lived in Chalfont St Peter for a few years, before moving to Great Missenden, where I currently reside. Oh, and I work in Uxbridge... So you're just down the road from me.... Feel free to drop me a line if you need any help, advice; or just fancy meeting for a coffee and a Z-chat:cool: Richard

Jae entrance **EXPENSIVE **
Dead right Gary....... .....JAE is not the show it once was - and the outrageous entry price this year was the nail in JAE's coffin, as far as it being our club's main event. Not to mention, that peoples' as well as the club's idea of a major event have moved on also. Shows like Simply Japanese at Beaulieu have proved that - without sounding old and past it; what does JAE offer nowadays? Nothing but standing around in a field, sleeping in a tent and getting drunk; whereas other events give you the chance to bring along your wives, girlfriends, families etc., as they provide other attractions aside from the cars, a field and....you get it! And they don't cost you the earth to participate! Hence we are staging another "Coventry" meet this year; which will serve as our main event of 2016. We'll also be holding our AGM for subscribed members, wherein we'll be happy to hear everyone's thoughts for future events.....! Richard:cool:

Fab 4x4......!
I had a little drive in a brand new BMW X5 M50d today - and considering it's still only a 3 litre (albeit triple turbo charged) diesel '6; boy does it shift for a heavy lump of a vehicle......!! It might put out "just" 381bhp; but it's good for 0-62 in 5.3s and considering its bulk and high centre of gravity, it handles itself bloody damn well too. Hell, I could even be tempted into buying one...... If I didn't prefer petrol over diesel and would still rather have a sports car. Great fun, nonetheless; and it sure surprised some random person in an Audi TTS, who could not (ahem) gain any advantage over the Beemer on a nice dual carriageway....
