Radiator question
Here are a couple of pics - apologies for the poor quality - this is the driver's side of the radiator, under the top hose...... ...Auto trans oil cooler is to the passenger side, under the filler cap.

Radiator question
Yup - that's the one.... It is the right part by all accounts, it's just that my car appears different to the norm....! I went to the garage and, sure enough, there are 6 pipes in my car. It looks I have a second oil cooler in the other side of the radiator - on the filler-cap side, there is the usual auto trans oil cooler and associated pipework as one would expect. However on my current set-up, there are 2 extra hoses on the opposite side, mirroring the oil cooler pipes....?? What do you reckon - diff oil cooler? It can't be the PAS, as I already had (and removed) the little one at the very front.

Radiator question
You know about my leaking rad by now - and may know I have purchased a pattern one, which my local garage is fitting... Well, the garage called me today, to say the new rad is not the same - mine has (apparently) 6 pipes coming off of it, but the new one only has connections for 4. As far as I knew, there should be 2 big ones (top and bottom main hoses) and the 2 small ones on the side, for the auto transmission cooler. I have not counted the expansion tank, before anyone says anything! The online service manual - and every picture of an OEM auto-trans radiator I have seen - all show only the 4 pipe connectors. Does anyone have an idea what the other 2 are? I'm popping along after work to see what he's talking about.... Richard:confused:

What did you do to your zed today?
I couldn't fine one for an auto - and didn't want to mess about having a separate transmission oil cooler plumbed in!

What did you do to your zed today?
I learned (as I suspected) that my water leak was attributable to the radiator....! After a bit of research, I decided to take my chances and buy from here http://www.fastrads.co.uk/partfinder/?id=1&manuid=64&manu=Nissan&model=300%20ZX&transmission=Automatic&year=1994&doors=3&trim=Standard%20Trim&ModelType=&engine=3.0&varient=3.0%20V6%20Targa%203d%20Auto a brand new (albeit pattern) replacement for just £143 delivered. I did ask the question - several times - about whether it was specifically for an auto, so let's see what arrives. It's being delivered to my local garage tomorrow...:clover: A big thanks to everyone who offered me an auto-spec radiator; it's most appreciated guys:cool:

New National Events Organiser
Hi all, We have been without a National Events Organiser for some time, since Lexx stepped down to take care of family matters. However following our AGM at Coventry last month, Paul (NemesizX) very graciously offered up his services...... .....And the committee has given Paul its full support in taking on the role. So without further ado, please can join me in congratulating Paul in his new position within the club. Nice work Paul - thank you for stepping up to the mark; I know you'll do us proud!! 18" Remanufactured Wheels
Would have been good if they were 18s.... .....However I remember Funky Si posting some tome ago, about someone turning the OEM wheel into a split-rim, deeper dish wheel. Cost a fair few £££££££s, but they did look the businesss:cool:

Is Audi TT better than Z32?
LOL true - but I have to admit, I did pop into Audi the other week, to look at the newest TTS as a potential replacement for the Merc. It was the 300+ bhp and sub-5 second 0-62mph that got me slightly interested.... ......And TBH it was disappointing! Interior design and build quality was not in the same league as the SLK. It was nice, but nothing more than a slightly posh VW really. Merc and BMW are noticeably better!!

What did you do to your zed today?
Took mine for a short run to Sainsburys and back - and then spent about an hour trying to locate exactly where the coolant is leaking from...... .....But without removing the under-tray I still cannot see. I stopped off at my local garage and they will have another look on Tuesday. Common consensus so far is the radiator - so any suggestions on where to get one for a TT auto? I don't want to buy one for a manual and then have to worry about plumbing in another auto-box oil cooler? Richard:clover:

Simply japanese 2016!!!
Thanks for the offer Paul...! I was trying to locate he leak again when I got home today. It's displaying similar symptoms to when the water pump went bad a couple of years ago - IE not leaking so much with the engine running, but pouring out when switched off - quite literally as I pour into the radiator it falls out the bottom. But this time, there's no trace of coolant on the lower drive belts - well, not that I can see. And whilst I won't eliminate something just because it's new(ish) - could a brand new Nissan 'pump have really gone south again after My garage will happily take the car back in next week for another look, but they are not ZX experts. So I'm now thinking of getting the RAC to drop it off at Jimmer's - probably best I don't try to drive 100 miles to Bristol with coolant dripping out of the system:oops:

Simply japanese 2016!!!
LOL - maybe Chris.... But I have to be at work tomorrow - plus I no longer have the inclination to crawl around under the bonnet of a car myself... I did think of driving down in one of the other cars, but then I'd not be able to park up with you all. And I'm too damned tight to shell out the full admission for us both, when it'd only be £10 if I was in the Zed....

Big big thanks to Mondo.....!
Oh yes - very happy mate; it could it could not have been better:dance: Although I did consider having it padded out, with added thumb-grips; and perforated leather at 9 and 3 o'clock (similar to my daily below) - but I have always liked the OEM 'wheel and seeing Funky's at Coventry, my mind was made up. Thank you again sir......
