  1. I have just e-mailed the managing editor.....! LOL....
  2. Thanks Gaz - And Graham too; as he has always given up 3 days to help man the stand for the duration!
  3. We certainly did have lots of interest each year, with many visitors to the stand admiring the cars - and reminiscing about how they had one (or admired them) back in the day. Kind of makes the commitment all the more worthwhile, to see ours and our members' efforts paying off.
  4. I know! In the last-but-one edition, there was a small article in the letters pages; wherein a reader wrote in with his interest in purchasing a tidy Z32. Hell, I only passed it onto a friend with some old Top Gear mags the other day.... Perhaps, also, our last three outings to the NEC have helped to raise the interest in our cars; and should hopefully aid that maturity. Fingers crossed....:clover:
  5. Joel got (and gave me) the magazine's new editor's business card..... Now that Modern Classics is a monthly publication, they will need more material to fill it. And I think an article on the Z32 will be another great idea to raise the car's (and club's) profile. We certainly have some damn fine Zeds here, so I will drop him a line and see if he's interested in doing such an article:cool:
  6. Nice find Jeff.... .....Looks a very good example - and whilst price is indeed subjective, I hope it does achieve the seller's ambitions. That rear spoiler actually looks quite good on the 'Vert too. IMO of course:wink:
  7. Nice one Jeff - I'm not a great dog lover, but have to say, she's pretty cute mate!! And she has certainly gone to a good home:thumbup:
  8. .....This time in an article about cars which, in the opinion of the writer, went for a steal at auction recently....!! It could be a sign that the Z32 is gaining a higher, more desirable profile at last. Modern classic cars like ours could be set to enjoy a renaissance period, as more people in their 30s, 40s and 50s seek to buy the high performance cars from their youth; that they could not afford then, but can now. The only way is up, as one singer once sang....
  9. This month's Modern Classic's magazine has an article on the NEC Classic Car Show..... And what do you know, they visited our stand and took a picture of Joel's car!! Joel wasn't in the picture himself, though, just Craig and Ian.... Nice one Joel....
  10. Yup - what he said...... Will you have to speak to the new dog in Portuguese, though...
  11. LOL...... ....And welcome to the club Laura....
  12. Happy New Year all..... ....I'm just back from a week in Cornwall. Saw in 2017 with a fantastic 7-course dinner at the hotel...... Plus wines, of course...:pint:
  13. A sad end to 2016 - a belated RIP Carrie....... And then her mother, Debbie Reynolds, only a day later:sad: RIP Debbie, also....
  14. Nothing this year - not even driven....! In the past, I have taken the Zed down to Cornwall for our New Year holiday; but as it was still clean after the last good drive, we took Julia's Landy instead..... Richard:cool:
  15. Hi Dave, Happy New Year to you too mate - good to see you're still around:cool: And nothing wrong with your thread; as you're giving stuff away, there are no rules being broken....! Richard:thumbup:
  16. Amazing work there Daz.....
  17. A belated "Many Happy Returns" mate.....
  18. A belated happy birthday Ian; hope you and the family are keeping well mate! Richard:thumbup:
  19. Both threads now merged, by the way....
  20. Another very sad loss...... I had hoped that 2016 had claimed its last celebrity life with the sad passing of Rick Parfitt, but it wasn't to be. George was a very talented song writer; and having grown up in the 1980s, his music was a very big part of "my" decade. RIP George....
  21. Many happy returns Trev....:happybday:
  22. Yup - seconded..... .....All the best Steve..:clover:
  23. That's my plan for this evening..... I'm cooking the "real" Christmas dinner in a few minutes... Lobsters in a shrimp, lemon and garlic butter, samphire, rosemary roasted potatoes and a little salad. Washed down with a vintage Moet. And perhaps I might partake of a Leffe or two whilst cooking....:pint: Then a visit to my parents tomorrow, Julia's auntie on Boxing Day, and off to Cornwall next week.. Merry Christmas one and all....:santa:
  24. Sad news indeed - RIP Rick; keep on rocking, wherever you are....
  25. Yup - thanks Andy; so might I...
