  1. Hi and welcome to the club Brad!! Richard:thumbup:
  2. LOL - thanks Andrew..... But, yes this thread is indeed still open for business as usual...... 408 pages, 8154 posts, our most popular, longest running thread ever. Why kill it off now...
  3. Phew - you had me worried for a moment there Gary...... But congratulations Lee; well done on passing your test mate:thumbup: And not a bad idea there Ali:wink:
  4. Nice one Steve - and thanks for your continued support mate...
  5. Thanks for your continued support mate....
  6. Yup - seconded.... Thanks Scotty!
  7. This.... At risk of going slightly off-topic, I agree with Chris. Never happened in the "old days"....!
  8. Thanks Gary:cool: Just need to get used the new DSLR now - here's to sharper images from this year's shows....
  9. Cheers Gaz..... .....New car? Well, I happened to wander into Stratstones Land Rover yesterday. And then (ahem) wandered out, having paid a deposit for a nice 2014 Range Rover Evoque Coupe, in Orkney Grey; with 9-speed auto 'box and full tech-pack.... I collect it next weekend...... So it looks like the old Land Rover is now surplus to requirements. Anyone interested in a tidy Freelander2 HSE TD4 - offers around the £10k mark....:whistling:
  10. Today we visited Waddesdon Manor in the Zed - as I wanted to try out my new camera...... .......so guess what my first subject was....:wink: Richard:thumbup:
  11. Some great tips there folks, thanks.....!! You never know when that stuff will come in handy....
  12. ..............And as for what I did to my Zed today.... I took it out of the garage, dropped it off at my local garage early this morning; then collected it at 2.30 this afternoon, with a sump full of Castrol Edge, a new oil filter..... And a fresh, advisory-free MOT certificate:dance: I then took a spin to Aylesbury, collected Julia from work..... .....And somehow ended up buying another car... Got home, wiped the Zed down with Sonax detailing spray, ready for a day out tomorrow, as it's been a while since the Zed has been used "properly"
  13. Yup - my thoughts too.... Each to their own, I always say, but if it were my car, I'd lose the all the wood - and the hooded dial area too - but definitely all the wood.....!
  14. I agree.....:death: ....Fleabay is certainly getting worse. And not just the shite that people sell - the website in general seems more hassle nowadays. Too many advert feeds really slow the damn 'site down at certain times of day.... Or is it just me?
  15. That's what I thought, too!
  16. LOL - there's a medical condition for that mate.....:rofl: .....Autolepsy, I think they refer to it as.....
  17. Hello and welcome! That does not look a bad car, but I'd be considering overall condition - especially underneath - above any modifications or enhanced ICE that the car may come with. View it in the flesh; check the underside, the sills, rear wheel arches; anywhere corrosion might lurk before anything else. Whilst imports generally "should" be less likely to have suffered from the tin-worm, that car has been here for 14 years now! See if anyone from here is local(ish) to you; who might be willing to come and see it with you. And good luck in your search! Richard:clover:
  18. Thanks for the birthday greetings folks.....!! Richard:thumbup:
  19. Yup - another "well done Ash" from me too... It certainly did look like a good turn-out. Especially considering the weather etc - nice one guys!!
  20. I'm with you Steve.... ...And then we have situations where the media sensationalises everything, to the point of whipping up a frenzy about something mundane. EG this alleged vegetable shortage - what shortage? Every Saturday morning for the last few weeks, all I have seen in the supermarkets are full shelves??? The press and TV drum up a few pictures of empty shops, tell us how bleak it is all looking; and then offer the final piece of advice..... "The public is urged not to panic buy.....!!!" The very words which make the intellectually challenged, go out and do just that... Somehow Jonathan Pryce's Bond villain, Elliot Carver, in Tomorrow Never Dies does not appear so far fetched these days....
  21. Happy birthday Jimmer - hope you have a great day mate!! Richard:happybday:
  22. So was I...... .....And that's great to know! Always nice to see there are still some 300zx parts Nissan doesn't rape you blind for:cool:
  23. Happy birthday to a fellow Aquarian, Steve (not that I give a shite for astrology) Hope you have a great day mate!! Richard:happybday:
