  1. Thanks for sharing Jeff - and it'd be interesting to see how many of those Zeds are still around..... .....Not just in the club, but actually on the road...
  2. Yup - well said Si; and I have to agree 100% Jimmer is old school - honest, reliable and knowledgeable. You cannot go wrong taking your Zed to Jimmer....
  3. LOL - but very true.... Simon, sir, it will be like the end of an era if you change your name.....
  4. Have you been on the Vinho Jefferey.....?? Richard.....
  5. Excellent news mate - and whilst it might have been a while, you know that when you leave Jimmer's, your Zed will have a clean bill of health!! Is yours the purple/flip UK spec, by any chance.....?
  6. Seconded....
  7. It sure is Gaz..... Hell, JP has even taken out the lights before the polishing. THAT'S dedication.... ....And your car is looking as amazing as ever Gaz..... Another contender for the NEC next year....???!!!
  8. Looking good mate - and sooo close to being finished!! Richard:cool:
  9. ...As title - another sad loss to entertainment..... RIP big fella...:flowers:
  10. It can do, but most of the time it's instant - you're showing as subbed right away...
  11. Really....?? Of all the usual classic insurers, and not just because they are a trader here, I always found Lancaster the best. Adrian Flux is "hit and miss" at best (sorry, just my personal opinion); Carole Nash was very good, many others like Hagerty, Peter Best et al are fine - but Lancaster just seemed so much better. The only reason I did not renew with Lancaster this year, was because Admiral (with whom our daily drivers are insured) offered to give me a classic policy on my multi-car package for a similar price; but also knocked ££s off the other cars' premiums.
  12. Welcome back Adam - and thanks for your support mate!! And good luck with the new toy........:clover:
  13. Yup - this...
  14. ...I shall be visiting on Friday; arriving again Saturday afternoon then on the stand Sunday...
  15. Hi and welcome Alex - and good luck in your search!! Richard:cool:
  16. Awesome..... ....And nothing wrong with nurturing her interests early...:cool:
  17. 'Twas back in April mate.... Excellent news....
  18. Looks expensive actually Joel - Jimmer did mine all-in, parts, labour, antifreeze for just £245 IIRC....!
  19. Yup - exactly what Andrew says; you need the blue stuff for older cars:wink: And if your water was rusty brown, certainly give the system a thorough flush; perhaps even remove the radiator and reverse flush it as they'll be a lot of crap in there. You don't want to leave all that old sludge and crap in there. As for the leak, do check your overflow pipe - if it's split, coolant will just pour out as it expands, as opposed to draining into the expansion tank. And treat yourself to a new OEM radiator cap. Nissan still stocks them (I believe) - so does MJP. They're not expensive; and the OEM one is rated at 1.2bar, whereas many after-market replacements are 1.1bar.
  20. Here's my little tribute to the late Tom Petty....... ......It was playing on Planet Rock when I got in the car this morning....:punk::cool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UD0c58nNCQ
  21. Jimmer's not too far from Coventry mate - just over 100 miles down the m5 I'd say...... Same distance I have to travel, in fact; and the same as I did to Zedworld!
  22. Absolutely Scott - it would stupid not to! The last thing you need, if the brown stuff should unfortunately hit the fan, is for your insurers to declare you uninsured....!!
  23. Yes it is indeed....! Lancaster's renewal came in at about £225 for me this year. However as I have an Admiral multicar policy for the AMG and the Evoque - I asked Admiral about adding the Zed to the policy again. Turns out they could offer classic car cover on a similar basis as I had with Lancaster - for £202. Granted, it's still over £200, but by adding the Zed, Admiral knocked £30 off the Evoque and £90 off the Merc...... All three cars covered for £970; happy days...
  24. Good grief, what have we done....... .....Oops, wrong forum section, did I say that in public... Ahem, I mean welcome back to the fold guys; hope you enjoy the full benefits of the club once more! Richard:cool:
