Trip to Brands Hatch
Nice one Lee - glad you had a great time mate!!

Zed front centre badge
The red badges were OEM on late model Zeds - 99spec, I think, but someone will know for sure. Hence why the red ones are a popular upgrade..... The gold ones, as JaiKai says, likely to stand out on different body colours.

Leaving 300zx Undriven
A month is fine - you won't (or shouldn't) have any issues. The longest I have left mine is 6 weeks.... Simple dos and don'ts: Don't just start the engine and let it idle for a bit; it's bad for most cars, not just a 300zx - if you start it, drive it straight away If it's locked in the garage, don't arm your alarm! This will drain the battery over a month - if you have a cat-1 system the immobiliser will be active anyway. You could disconnect the battery - I never bother as I don't want to keep programming my radio - and if the battery is in good condition it should be fine connected. But you can always invest in a Ring Ultra Boost jump starter, just in case.

Another little Zed road trip
We took the Zed on a little trip to Malvern this weekend - it was the RHS Spring Flower Show, the sun was shining, so the Zed just had to come along..... ...And back at the hotel, we were in good company, as a few guys from the French Morgan Owner's Club were there!

What did you do to your zed today?
Today, after returning from a little road trip to Malvern, I washed my Zed ready for the Chiltern Hills Rally this coming weekend...... Chiltern Hills Rally 2025 - Aylesbury 18th May - Events - UK - 300ZX Owners Club ......Luckily I finished and got it back in the garage before the thunderstorms arrived 🙂

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue
Yup - me too..... ....As I have said on more than one occasion, Andrew's car is not just my favourite Zed in the club, but probably the best in the UK - and it's only going to improve with these lovely additions😍

Recommendations for Cleaning Products
Glad to hear you're enjoying 300zx ownership...... You have to post some pictures, it's pretty much mandatory on here 😁 As for cleaning products, I am a big fan of Chemical Guys and Auto Finesse products. Both are now available in Halfords, albeit they are often cheaper on Ebay etc. And as for the every day brands, you can't go wrong with Autoglym - they may not be the best available, but at least most of their stuff does what it should. I have also been using Gtechniq of late and am very impressed. So my go-to products: Shampoo - either Simoniz with carnauba wax or, if I don't want to add wax, Chemical Guys Maxi Suds. Or Autoglym Bodywork Conditioner in winter, when the car is really dirty... Compound - Meguairs Ultimate Polish - can't go wrong with the old staple, Autoglym SRP Paint sealant - Chemical Guys Jet Seal Wax - varies; sometimes Graphene, sometimes Valet Pro Beading Marvelous. Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax is good too. Detailing spray - can't go wrong with Autoglym Rapid Detailer Quick spray wax - Auto Finesse Glisten or Chemical Guys Blazing Banana (wear gloves with that, or your hands will turn yellow LOL) Rapid ceramic spray - Gtechniq C2 (this stuff is awesome, quick to apply after washing, and it enhances your paint protection leaving an amazing shine!) Glass - Gtechniq Perfect Glass Interior (dash) - Megiaurs Kwik Interior Detailer Interior (carpets and fabric) - Ambersil Groom or Autoglym Interior Shampoo Leather - Autoglym Leather cleaner for a rapid wipe down; or Gliptone for a proper conditioning treatment once a year Wheels (cleaner) - Wonder WHeels Colour Active Wheels (protector) - Supaguard Alloy Protector Tyres - Autoglym Bumper & Trim gel or Turtle Wax Wet-N-Black Hope that helps.....!!

Newbie Z32 owner
Hi and welcome to the club....! With regards the cam belt change, is there evidence of it having been done (invoice, service sticker etc)? If not, then I'd recommend having it changed anyway - just to be sure. And even if there's proof it has, check that a genuine Nissan belt was used - aftermarket ones don't always line up properly... And as for lack of cup-holders, I have never used a cup-holder in any of my cars, so it doesn't bother me 😄

Another Zed bites the dust
Flippin' 'Eck!! That does look nasty - thankfully no-one was in the passenger seat, they definitely would not have survived....
-
MOT fail
......Then again, mindful your Zed is a JDM, are your seat belts in the doors - and the tester just hasn't noticed🤪
-
MOT fail
So has the anchorage become corroded or detached itself somehow - and has it happened since your last MOT? I can see your logic in removing the passenger seat though - no seat = no need for seat belt🤣 I presume it's a matter of some welding, do you have pics to share?

Happy Easter 2025

...And I knew I'd seen your Zed somewhere before - it was featured in the May 2020 edition of Modern Classics. It was (then) owned by a chap called Daniel Gannon - and was pitted against a BMW 840, a Jag XKR, a Merc CL500, plus a few other 1990s GT coupes, in a drive around Wales....!! I won't reveal which car won, just in case you manage to find the magazine article yourself....😉 Your car is a star mate 🤩

Does anyone know what became of this Z32? Explosion wide arch.
Yup - unsubbed members cannot PM..... Also this thread has seen no action in 10 years, so definitely a long shot mate! But I hope that Zed is still out there, it's a great looking car!
