  1. Thanks you's 2, if i upgrade to bigger injectors will having the e-manage mean i won't need to change the chip i got ? will this sort things out for bigger injectors better ? cheers smithy
  2. Which yer reckon is best to have and why, Gredy e-manage or the Apexi SAFC 11 ? decisions decisions :D oh any one using the e-manage on their Zed ? cheers, smithy
  3. Guys this is only 3 weeks away now, i know you can pay on the day BUT by paying in advance you save time on the day, those who are only thinking about spectating will see how many are deffo going and make an effort to turn up, thus making the whole day a possibly great meet, any mag worth his salt ain't gonna be bothered if only 5 confirmed and paid members turn up, c'mon fellas and ladies, put yer cash up and show yer going for deffo, cos yer must know by now ;) cheers, smithy
  4. Hi John, yep mate comes with everything needed mate, in petes pic where he drew the circle around the hoses, he missed out the 2 NEAREST to the circle he drew, these are also replaced in the kit, you end up with 2 long lines which replace all those desribed by pete and me, the only 2 it dont are shown at the left of his pic, the furthest away is actually behind the top of your cam covers where the throtle bodies connect via a bar and so you just can't get at it without removing various things, also the real small one again on left of pic is right down below the Plenum cover, not hard to do, but fiddly, i can stick a little bit in for that no probs. Lines are always in stock, i dunno about the ends until tomorow when i check w/shop to see what's in. smithy
  5. Sitting in the car, look down at the passenger side footwell and on your left is a plastic panel, lift this off and behind and upwards is a gromet for pulling a cable through, this comes out behind the plastic wheel arch liner and you can follow it up to a gromet that sits behind the battery, ideal for what yer doing. smithy
  6. Many thanks Pete mate ;) John most guys tend to get about 2metres of each size and just go round replacing all ood vaumm lines, real easy to do as well, usually 4mm + 6mm as it's only a couple of quid per metre i often give it free with orders over a 100 quid if any one asks for it anyway as simply postage is almost the same cost as the purchase  (only blue in stock at the mo though) the fuel line kit replaces ALL rubber and metal lines for the fuel across the plenum and reduces all those different connections down to just 4, the ends are pre fitted by me and are anodised. any queries, just drop me a line. cheers smithy
  7. Looking good matty lad, looking good ;) cheers smithy
  8. Hi john, yep the guys are right (cheers boys), only it's 7.9mm for the Zed though ;) take a look at the kit on me site and let me know if it's any good for yer, compared to what Nissan want it's pretty good value. cheers smithy
  9. Think it's about time i put some snazzy small stickers on my own produced products, anyone fancy making something up for me ? take a look at me site below to get some ideas of what ever really :D and which ever one i pick i will gladly sort the person concerned out with a 60% discount on ANY 1 of my own produced gear, i.e all the stainless goods. mail me smithy@manx.net or post below. cheers, smithy
  10. Well Jason at Neperformance was doing a GB, this stopped mid-way then he was offered the chance to uphold the orders and i think he finally decided to supply, so best give him a bell to find out for sure. cheers smithy

  13. I agree Paul, i had the same decision to make some years ago during my rebuild, when at RC developments, so decided on Copper ringing the block instead, around the same cost as metal gaskets. Metal ones are good for lowering the compression though as most are a lot thicker than stock. cheers smithy
  14. For those of you who don't know who that was tonight on top gear, it's mark brand aka b12andy an old member from here who goes round the uk doing shows with 2 of his mates, all with Zeds ;) smithy
  15. Do a search here on this and you should find some interesting info about quality and helpfulness, few guys here have had them in the past and got different experiences. smithy
  16. Is the centre panel inbetween yer headlights an aftermarket one or just the stock original ? if the former, it's where the bonnet is susposed to lock into the latch, in that area that is cut out just file another 3mm downwards towards you. If the latter, sos can't help best ask where you bought it from. cheers smithy
  17. Something missing there Alex, she ran like a dream before going in on the mines ecu and upgrades, all he's done is change the ecu and chip to suit the 555's which he's done before on other cars, then fitted the 555's, with whipping all the bits off the plenum to do the job, something surely hasn't gone back on right somewhere, no way can i see the mods you've done throw the mapping out on his normal settings for 555's, weird shit mate and having to wait a few weeks as well  smithy
  18. Yep am yer man for all things bright and colourful in the engine bay, not to mention turbo's and Clutch kits etc :D anyway ask Stu aka SMW1 for a pic of his engine, lots of wicked blue and as am doing deals on anything for Xmas, nows the time ;) cheers smithy
  19. Think Mac, still has some BRAND NEW ones for sale, the latest design Blitz valve and polished stainles pipes, siliocne and hose bands, the full kit, costs about 440 quid, but that's still nearly 200 quid cheaper than they were 2 years ago in the old version. cheers smithy
  20. Cool, don't forget you said yes now ;) Niphos metal polishing, 25 hope street, crewe, cheshire, cw2 7dr. tele 01270 214081. I started chroming and polishing engine bay parts 10 years ago and have used many companies, by far these have been best, mines on it's way back in the post to me now, give me a few days and i'll post a pic for yer. Right get out there and whip yer throttle bodies off fella, takes 10 mine to do and you need em off for a pukka job done :) smithy

  25. Love it or loathe it, in the flesh it's a fantastic example of recreating something, he's gone further than just slapping a few ready made body parts. The workmanship which he did himself is excellant quality too, hats off to him really ;) smithy
