  2. Decided to get one of these kits from Chris at Getgreddy and it wern't too bad at all, 5 new earth leads and nice shiny gold terminal. Suppose there are a couple of ways of doing this, i chose to have just the 2 of terminal then feed the others of them. Once done it was all sooo pretty, matches well with me bits of red silicone too which was a nice touch. Fired her up and alls well, too well infact cos ten mins down the road the water pumps groaning away and i lose a drive belt :( So back to the tools and try and find the time to do it before Thor ! cheers, smithy
  3. Don't suppose you know anywhere there might be a write up on it do yer mate ? cos this is something am gonna have to meself  cheers smithy
  4. Andy, is it deffo a cambelt off job, cos looking at the pics on the online manual, the pump seems to be in between any other belts. Cambelt is due to be done in about 8 weeks with other jobs see and was only done 18,000 miles ago. cheers smithy
  5. Guys seems like me water pumps leaking and grinding something rotten :( So for those of you in the know, is it a case of removing the viscous fan/crank pulley, inlet pipes, cam covers, then hey presto remove pump and fit new one ?? anything else i need to do to do it ? got a little bit of panic on as am on the ferry over to mainland 6am on Friday ! Oh if anyones got a spare new pump sitting round in their garden shed, can i borrow, beg or buy if my main dealer ain't got one ? please Smithy
  6. Cheers mate, got the pics ta, well just got home and i got 2 of em missing, ffs only one left is the one turning the viscous fan, tits ! someone confirm the correct names of the missing 2 and i'll see if i can get on monday and fitted for next week RR day. cheers smithy
  7. Can someone post up a pic for me of the Pulley belts attached to the various pulleys outside the cam cover, oh and name em as well please. much appreaciated cheers smithy
  8. Why what's happening next sunday mate ? smithy
  9. Check out Matty's pics over in my section mate, gives yer some kinda idea, but basicaly... any hose yer see, whip it off and replace, each one only takes minute or so. cheers smithy
  10. Unfortunately 99% of shipping from US must have insurance, yer can't have nil on the customs form and a certain amount on the insurance, figures are susposed to match. smithy
  11. Rossy tried to sell some gear here little while ago, Mac pointed out the traders rules and that was that, so i gues he's just mailing certain peeps on here to advertise what he's selling. smithy
  12. Simply remove the targa top on the leaking side and you will see a drain hole in the targa's gutter, pour water down this slowly and it should all come out just behind the wheel from the inner arch liner. smithy
  13. Bloomin eck Vinz thought i was impatient :( it's an average 20.25 % in total smithy
  14. 3hrs has gotta be max charles at that's when yer doing the apexi avc-r in my opinion, many others are even simpiler. smithy
  15. Gees fella, with all the options available at smithys-place, yer only job is deciding which bits to have :D show season starts in 3 months mate. chers smithy
  16. Smithys a manual too ;) ta
  17. Am biased obviously to certain turbo's after i considered many others, one very important factor as mentioned above, when it comes to the Zed, make sure WHO EVER you buy em off is gonna be there for yer IF things go wrong, and yes they certainly can. It's nearly a grands labour to whip em out and post back where ever, who pays for it ?. Have knoweldge of at least 4 times another companies turbo's have gone back to them to be repaired, but no help with the labour costs. In short if our car was any other Nissan, i'd say buy anywhere from around the world cos the costs for labour are easily a third if not less in some cases. smithy
  18. Nice bit of kit the ones he does and highly reccomended ;) Was thinking one of these meself sometime soon. cheers smithy
  19. And there's deals on there already guys :D cheers smithy
  20. Cheers Jezz, you can have extra harnesses for ignition and pressure ? you know what these will enable me to do fella ? cheers smithy
  21. That's all to easy mate, last time i sent him my ECU down to have one of his chips fitted, it took nearly a month :( various phone calls/faxes with some claiming it was there, then it wasn't, it was posted then it wasn't, so looking at easy options at the mo mate, plus i think the e-manage may do other bits and bobs and costs around the same as pete's chips. cheers anyway smithy
  22. Tulip, as it happens Thor MAY be moving before the RR day and fortunately it's a little closer to the airport for yer, am already down on the friday night, but if no one coming from up north can pick yer up on the way down, i could nip back up again and get yer. Ajay how about those who ain't paid by end of next week, then it's open to those on the reserve list to pay and get a gauranteed run, seems a shame the likes of Stu is willing to pay now but has no incentive cos he's reserve. This would also show the guy at Thor in advance he's got a shit load of Zeds coming down rather than a possible number. Would just hate to see a poor turn out cos someone hadn't commited and tulip and me are by travelling so far. cheers smithy
  23. Stock injectors will go that high, am peaking at 19psi, though usualy run 17psi, it's not a case of won't, it's they max out and won't perform 100%. but yes it's too high without the fuelling air mixture being controlled. I know who did Charles's upgrade and i can't believe he would set it to around 22psi. Charles as i've said before mate, bleed valves/boost jets are quite crude on a car where boost really needs to be correct for the set up of the car, the one Chris quoted is quite good mate and worthy of the cash, when yer engines out, remove the bleed valves, or you can do it yer self it's just a bit more akward. You run the risk of blown rings if it remains to high with out the correct fuelling. smithy if yer need any help on removing the valves, let me know and i'll explain it to you.
  24. Mac, mine (spare) are just done now, bored out a further 3.5mm with a new custom made butterfly fitted in each, just off getting polished now to go on me new plenum. I'll be offering this service very soon to other guys if they want as i see the US guys are paying over 330 bucks for this mod  cheers smithy
  25. Chip is an SE jobbie for stock injectors and me other mods, i will be upgrading the injectors within next 3 months or so along with ported throttle bodies and thought if the e-manage is pretty good i can use this to map it all right. cheers smithy
