  1. I've got the RPS Max series with street disc after my centre force wore down in months, well over 2 years old now and still like a dream, oh mines from smithy too  smithy
  2. Right well getting back on track, talking clutches, Duffers yer carbon carbon kit arrived whilst i was away and i guess you'll be the 1st in the UK to have one fitted, looks a prety impressive bit of kit mate  cheers smithy
  3. Pretty sure it's 38mm (1 1/2in) smithy
  4. Well done Vinz mate, glad to see some of my products sitting proudly there too  Pambos the power stering pot he had chromed fella. smithy
  5. Yes mate sure was :-) smithy
  6. However back then it was really only common on those Zeds that were pretty close to the limit of the unit OR did really thrash it. Out of over 100 units i've sold only 1 reported a spring breakage and that was 16 months after real abuse as he uses the Zed to perform regular bunouts and doughnuts etc at car shows and Max power. Dunno what spec Cos has, but from looking at the pics it appears more than simple failure on the disc's part, something just ain't right. As for Carbon carbon Mac, your kit is nothing like what's mentioned here and RPS in their effort to put their money where their mouth is, they will rebuild any carbon carbon clutch kit for FREE if by some miracle the owner can wear it down in 12 months of any kind of use. Finally if anyone is a little worried after Mac's and Cos's post, if you purchase your RPS from me then you've no need to be, i stand by these 100% and will back up ANY customer issue with regards a fault and with 1 out of over 100 i've supplied, am happy  smithy p.s cheers Paul. C :)
  7. For the full kit an RPS Sport street kit is 340 quid, changing the flywheel for lite weight one at the same time is FREE labour usually, a tenner if they charge yer :( cost of flywheels start at about 260 upto 390 quid depending on which make you want. See my site below for more details if yer like. smithy
  8. Just a bit more info on em for yer boys. From Greg Dupree in US, the man who knows his cluches, "The Carbon material is baked for 6 months at 2500 degrees to be at the state is. It is the same material used on the nose cone of the space shuttle and it is used for brakes on bullet trains and Indy race cars. The material will last MUCH longer then anything else and in normal driving would last over 100,000 miles. Because we want these clutches for slipping at high horse power they will wear according how much abuse they see. RPS will rebuild them free for the first year. It is not likely that this clutch would be worn this soon. These clutches do feel like a regular street clutch and are amazing to drive." smithy
  9. Whilst these 2 fight it out to be possibly the first in the UK with one of these awesome kits, don't susppose any one else wants one as well :p smithy
  10. I would imagine John Dixon as he does a few by all accounts, though i don't know if he's done 1 for a twinpop, best ask, possibly too SE-nisstek, though it took them 4 weeks to do mine by mail order just for something that was run of the mill :-( smithy
  11. Not quite, the idea of 2 cones is simply there isn't the room for 1 massive cone for a 3.0L as often seen on high powered motors, having two enables more air to be delivered to the MAF which doesn't max out until the very high 400's at which point it just won't accept any more, hence why the twin maf/cone kit works best on higher powered cars as in theory your using 1 cone/maf per 1.5 litre cc of engine rather than 1 cone/maf for 3.0 L cc of engine. Stu got it spot on explaning the chip set up for yer Jim smithy
  12. There's only the 1 air bleed plug and 1 drain off valve, he got the bleed plug with his and sourced his own drain plug, asked for no temp sensor hole in it and it came with one  smithy
  13. Erm, just so the rest of you guys know that as i import clutches weekly from the US, this one ain't wanna mine :-) smithy
  14. Smithy replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - Non 300ZX
Steve, don't suppose the guy who did yer car was called dave griffiths by any chance ? smithy
  15. Stupid but not uncommon, seen this on other aftermarket jobbies from big companies, i imagine it's something SE asked not to have done when they had there's made for them. BTW arn't they the holes for fixing the duct covers to ? smithy
  16. 2lbs 1 ounce mate, when Kyle did his own pulley set he didn't want to go to light, compared to stock though it's like an ant against an elephant, lol Think yours is about 5-6 ounces lighter ? smithy
  17. No probs Steve, happy to help out in his hour of need and trust him with paying turned up trumps too :-) cheers smithy
  18. Just in case all that's a bit much for yer stu, which i doubt then SE do an electric fan kit for other nissan's complete with remote activation and manual, it's really quite a simple design and not expensive to do, maybe Pete will sell yer a wiring loom kit, i believe they make them up them selves. smithy
  19. Give or take a few ounces all lite weight flywheels weigh virtually half the stock weight one. smithy
  20. My regulars know i cut deals matey  RPS sport in stock, shoot me a mail if yer like and i'l sort yer out. smithy
  21. Fraid it would be the weekend after fella, very few companies do these in the UK, smithy
  22. Though i normally supply porterfields as they last the longest and seem to perform the best, i've an order going in end of next week to a supplier who stocks matrix and they would be 45 quid a set mate (fronts) and 80 quid for both front and rears. smithy
  23. There must be something in this lark though, i read Zsport magazine last week and stillen, avalon racing and HKS have fitted kits to the new 350z and seen improvements.. smithy
  24. Justin, have a butchers in the FAQ section, mike groves has done a fantastic job of explaining import duties etc, from what you mentioned above Chris and mike feeney in the traders section should be able to sort yer out mate, most important thing over cash when it comes to the fitting of parts on a Zed, who's gonna back up the parts best, someone on this forum who yer know, or a company thousands of miles away ? yer need piece of mind mate. smithy
