  1. Chrome power sterring pot ! :x: no no no, lol Macs is a new fabricated 316 stainless steel item  Nice one stu about the trophys am willing to donate prizes by way of vouchers to be spent at Smithys of course :) 75 quid for 1st, 50 quid for 2nd and 25 quid for 3rd so in a sense sponsoring the award. Maybe worth approaching some of the other traders to do like wise ? Oh don't forget Billing is only 4 weeks THIS weekend :duffer: cheers smithy
  2. Bloomin eck Stu looking good bud, i think it's gonna be close between Macca and Vinz for the blingest engine bay once Mac's engine is back, your certainly running a very close 2nd though with Matty running up very close behind, oh er Mrs :) However yer are still short 1 or 2 bits and i think yes Macca has everyting i do, EXCEPT 1 :) Stu, Vinz, macca and my self al have 1 mod in common and if i get me car back intime from duffers for billing, mine will have it on and this one actually has a purpose  Would be good now that the club has some decent funds they could perhaps buy a few awards/trophy's for billing, the best modded, nicest engine bay, furthest travelled, nicest stock etc, used be done years ago and i think the Zed club still do, so how about it mods ? bring some more of that club spirit together. In fact the traders could even sponsor each trophy given out ? what yer think ? Again she's looking well, but like i said, watch out for Matty  cheers smithy
  3. The Zed really needs better coolers to lower intake cherge temps after only a few mods IMO as the stock ones are really small with plastic end tanks. Quite a few guys here now are running Greddy coolers in stock mount which are an excellant upgrade and more than capable of dealing with high BHP. As Stu says over 600 BHP which is an absolute fortune to get is really when a front mount proves it's worth. smithy
  4. Yeah tell me about it  smithy
  5. Before yer end up with something that may be no use mate, most i've seen on ebay are universal and do not fit the Zed without a MAF plate being made up, if it was Zed specific then fair enough, it was a case of "just in case" smithy
  6. Well that certainly told them fella :mac1: Think at the end of the day, it's all down to lanuage, we talk different to them and they talk different to us. I deal a lot with the US guys and have no problems at all, i also have a couple US close buddies ;) who 1 day i hope to visit and when these boys throw a car show for Zeds, boy do they  thousands appear from all over the US, so at the end of the day, no mater how they speak, they love Zeds - Zees and that's something good in my book and we are one an all the same ! smithy
  7. Did yer get the little badge inside the box as well fella ?. Glad it works out for yer. smithy

The street version of the sport is virtually a stock feel, only 2 out of over 100 supllied said it was marginally heavier than stock. The street version of the MAX series is noticeably heavier than stock, but not a lot approx 20%. If you fit the 6 Puck version of any of these types or even ACT for that matter and yes driving is not so easy as they really paddle clutches simply either off or on and this makes em heavier again. For some one like Nismo Mark, then the Max series Street disc version is best suited, as it will take a lot more power that he wants, is a disc not a 6 puck and being disc does not wear as quick as 6 pucks do or cost as much to replace when the time comes. Replacement discs for street versions run at 80 quid, whereas 6 puck replacement discs run at 155 quid, hence why i don't reccomend 6 pucks unless they really want em for cost, heaviness, quicker wearing and replacement part costs wether it be RPS, ACT ETC cheers smithy
  9. GTS are deffo smaller than the GTR and they also use the same pads as the Zed so no real upgrade there mate, GTR32 is the same as GTS as well, you need GTR33 or 34 as an upgrade. smithy
  10. don't worry mate yer alright. smithy
  11. load the pics onto your PC somehwere 1st, when done click the reply button bottom left of a thread and a new box appears, type your message and scroll down the page you see a box, manage attachement, click this an upload box appears and you click browse to find the pics where you stored them, once found click upload and wait, once done it will tell you so, close the window and click submit your new message. done smithy
  12. It all depends on how old it is and if it's mechanical or electrical, if the new version it won't work unless wired to a control unit, if older version then it needs wiring up to the power supply for lighting, vac line for the boost reading ( if mechanical) if it's the electrical older version then some more wiring is required. Take some pics front and back, post up so you can get more definate help smithy
  13. Nice to see the boys got there new custom bumpers on too, look quite well considering they ain't the usual wrap around jobs and Mark owner of the blue one with the MR-2 type rear hatch, nice jobs and good pics mate, i'll let Mark know you got em if he don't already. smithy
  14. I know mate, no phone number listed though, so hoping someone lives nearby can check it out for a Zed on the driveway or something, or better still give him a knock and tell him to contact me. Thanks for looking bud smithy
  15. Mark Swaby, 11 Trinity Mews, Croydon rd, London. If anyone knows this guy or can check on the address for me down that way i would be really grateful for any help indeed. This is very important to me and urgent. Hope someone can help email smithy@manx.net, tel 01624-618130 or 07624-490098 Or if Mark himself is on here all the better. cheers smithy
  16. Erm it's Andyduff our resident Zed Guru mate, drop him a PM, he's about 2 miles of the M6. cheers smithy
  17. Ahh just realised what it was now, series 1 and series 2, there are deffo 2 types of de-catt pipes, seen them before a few times. Anyways Rossy yer welcome to collect my pipes from Duffers ( in Preston)and see how they fit for yer and if no good, just send em back fella. Oh and on a different note, re read yer mails bud, difference between 1175 and 1520 is 345. cheers smithy
  18. Heres the difference and i didn't know this until sometime ago, the turbo pipe coming of the tub on a jap spec is LONGER than that on the UK spec one, as nearly all after market de-catt pipes are for UK spec cars, now i see why as not many companies if any got into making de-catt pipes for the Jap spec. The US cars are the same as Jap spec cars in respect of this turbo pipe, so the GD ones above would suit Rossy spot on, a little close on fitment as obviously they are handed. SpeedyS has both these tubs and these dump pipes on Rossy mate. Mines a UK spec and same tubs above with custom turbo pipes which i then turned into dump pipes, but as these fit my UK spec car, they would be too short to mate up with Rossy's Down pipes, he would need UK spec down pipes as well, if alls he's got is a new Catt back only, then this would be a good option as de-catted Jap spec pipes are in limited supply, think Danny was gonna do Jap spec ones. If yer ain't got aftermaket down pipes mate, then my pipes and custom new ones would be really good. Phew ! cheers smithy
  19. John i asked this some time ago on the US 350 sites, basically the answer was no, however the track model 350 uses different calipers/discs and i hear somewhere they can be used as an upgrade on ours, but not as big an upgrade as the GTR set up. Just for yer info, as i sell pads for all nissans, 350z pads fronts are different to any other nissan, however the rears from track model are the same as skyline rears. cheers smithy
  20. Deffo the apexi, easiest induction to fit as it has no maf adapter, proven to perform really well and at 100 quid from Danny at DTA, yer sorted in no time with no worries. JWT ones are pretty good for the wonga, but at the end of the day it's just a K+N that JWT rebadge, still performs okay though. smithy

Don't worry Alex they were only Turbo technics hybrids which are no where near the league your now in and not excatly cheap for the spec. Did notice silicone rad kits there for over 100 quid, i sell em to you guys for just 60 quid, gees, sometimes you fellas dunno how good us traders can be to yer   smithy
  22. Danny at DTA does the brake lines, fitment is spot on too as there have been a few variations out there that arn't quite spot on. smithy
  23. Ant, as you've read some guys have a little squeal at times and some never do, in a recent GB on sxoc forum, out of 15 sets sold only 1 reported a little squeal at times, however the perfromance of them more than makes up for it  Add Danny's brake bracket brace as well and you will see a massive difference to the way yer car stops and feels when braking. As for being in stock at the 25th is anybody's guess mate, i have 6 sets in now, which may or may not sell. I'll accept a post dated cheque or deposit to sort you out, brake wise that is :) just drop me a mail to smithy@manx.net cheers smithy
  24. Erm if you look in the traders section you'l see the porterfield pads for sale at possibly the best price in the UK and upto date fella. smithy
  25. Will that explain then why when you rang me 2 weeks ago urgently needing a clutch, i gave you preference on one of the ones due 4 days later from the US, it came in and i told you, then you told me you were just sorting funds out, after a few days when i asked for an update on your funds as your clutch was still sat here for you i said it will have to become a stock item unless you pay soon as, on the 1st of June you said i'll let you know, i assume then this is you letting me know   RPS sport NOW in STOCK guys ! smithy
