  1. A couple of the guys from here have been to GTROC Track days and thoroughly enjoyed it.
  2. I think we should ban Smithy, just for starting this thread. :D :D :D :mac1: - I'll get me coat :D :D
  3. Numbers were up by almost 50% on the previous year so we were all taken by surprise. That said, I agree with you and it will be fixed for next year. Apparently Mark wants his own burger van parked just at the entrance of the 300ZX Stand. :x: :D :D :D
  4. Sorry to hear that "Mr Secretary". We are trying not to make the event commercialised but have to get the balance right between clubs and traders. From the feedback forms we've had the overwhelming response seems to be we got the balance right - but probably need to work on the mix a bit. As far as this picture goes, don't forget there are three fields not covered in this phot. John
  5. Have you looked at the GTROC For Sales section? There are often GTS and GTSt for sale. http://www.gtr.co.uk

Bob, All of the Skyline/GTR Register cars were running at least 500bhp ATW. bhp at the flywheel is usually about 27% more than that for a Skyline GTR

Mark, Excellent news! It would be really good to see a few more cars there next year. The Porkers werer a "pleasant" addition this year so look forward to seeing a 300ZX next year.
  9. Mac, One of the pistons has melted, it did it on my third top speed run. That's the trouble with hot weather - great for spectators, not so good for cars. Still, I managed 189mph which is a new personal record. Car is in the shop now, while I try and get the funds together to get it fixed - it could be off the road for a while now.
  10. I think the Skyline/GTR Register also gets the award for the most expensive day out :( 1 melted piston 1 transfer box 3 diffs 1 gearbox (partly) 3 clutches  :( :( :(
  11. A general question. Did you like the idea of putting all the associated clubs together? for example 300ZX next to the Z Club and the 350Z. John
  12. An example of one here: http://takakaira.co.jp/asp/template.asp?id=683&cat=2&prodID=STtPqQqlnMokrNm
  13. I came over twice to meet a few of you and on both occasions there was a lecture going on. That'll teach me to read the your agenda before I go to the event.. :o See you in 2005! - If not before ;)
  14. There will be a live band at Billing this year :hyper: :hyper: All The skyline club love the Y.M.C.A so we have booked them :D :D We will also be handing out the obligatory, Red Indian, Builder, Cop and LumberJack uniforms, I can't wait!!! Seeya there Boys :D ;)
  15. July 18th I was there yesterday - just checking it out ;) :duffer:
  16. Whatever happened to taking part just for the experience and fun - and to wave the flag for the club? If you look down the list you'll see my car. And the chance I have of winning anything is lttle better than zero.
  17. The gates are open 24 hours a day
  18. There are advantages with after-market bonnets. The main one being they help the enigine bay vent better. However, whether you opt for carbon or glass is a matter of personal taste, choice and budget. The carbon fibre ones are much tougher and less prone to warping or being written off by some impacts. Fibre glass is brittle and can warp and bend. I guess it also depends on what kind of finish you want.
  19. Dave Wilkins is organising another meeting at The Bubble Inn. Nice warm up for the summer shows. It is next weekend. The traders are usually cleared away by 6pm and the bar closes on Sunday at 6pm. If you want to stay on after that it's entirely up to you.
  21. There will also be prizes from the organisers of JAE: Best Modified Best Classic Best Concourse Best Club Stand
  22. Note to self: Must buy AdamR a drink. :D :D
  23. - I think that's better.
  24. PMSL!!!!!!   There was me thinking it was a mass wind-up. :xxx: :xxx: Hey, if anyone is interested there's a guy round here selling his Nova :D :D Why not spend the money on tuning the car - that'll do the trick - and doesn't need any dodgy wiring and oh-so-obvious spark plug. Do you get furry dice and rear earthing straps with each kit. I would have thought for a group buy that's the least they could do. :p :p
  25. Mark: If you do want assistance drinking lots of beer, let me know. :)
