JAE events????
Sorry that an answer to what i believed was a genuine question was seen as blunt. As for your completely inappropriate and unsavoury reply, I do not think that was called for. As for my membership of this forum, I am a member of several Nissan Forums. The reason being to try and see how we can organise joint events, share information and so forth (ask the 300ZX Club founders who helped them draft rules and constitution etc!) With people like you I'm glad I'm only considered a guest here, who would want to associate themselves with a foul-mouthed idiot like you?

JAE events????
No. You will need to park in the "visitors car park"

JAE events????
Just so you know. One of your cars is automatically enetered in the JAE Best Car competition. Entry forms have to be lodged on arrival on Saturday morning (Nissans are on at 2pm Saturday). So you may want to think of the Best Car to put forward before the event.

Japanese Auto Extravaganza (JAE)
JAE is now being held at the East of England Showground. Brochures have been sent out with all the necessary details but here is an update from Claire: There will be a competition for the best presented cars. As it stands today the 300ZX Owners Club can nominate one car to represent itself. There are three categories: Best concourse, Best modified, Best classic. You will have to decide which one of your club's cars enters the competition. If you are interested in autojumble please send an e-mail to john@the-organisation.org Hope to see you all in July! John

Went to Santa Pod today....
Listening to a lot of the guys on the GTR/Skyline Register (forum) there was a major problem with traction and not being able to get tyres up to temperature. Also, a lot of the cars were only minor modified, I can think of only two high spec cars being there.

trackers !!
Not all tracking devices need the police to recover them. The RAC one relies on satellite and GPRS connectivity and is available in "always on" or "passive" options - depnding on price. In 1999 the GTROC had seven cars stolen in a 12 month window by a group of organised criminals. Only two were ever recovered. One, because it was a very rare colour and was spotted parke outside someone's house (the porr unfortunate buyer had to hand it back). the other had an RAC Trackstar fitted. None of the other cars were ever recovered

Anyone got any tips...
I agree a hairdryer is good. You might want to start with a really hot bucket of water first and git it a good soaking to make the graphics more flexible and easier to peel

Plenum Polishing
Try a flap wheel on a brill to start with and work progressively less course material. Getting in some of the tight corners is the toughest bit. Basically, just a lot of elbow grease and hard work :)

Forum Names
With a name like Fuggles, whio needs to invent a nickname. :D

A lot of hard thinking has gone into this and it was not an easy decision. One of the criterai (and there were many) was to keep it as local as possible to Northampton. The distance to the new venue is not very far at all. All things considered this is a MUCH better venue I have been talking to some other people about other events at Billing Aquadrome. These are still in the planning stage and I know some people on the 300ZX forum are already involved. We all like Billing and want to use it again. But if the shoe don't fit........... I hope to see as many people as possible at JAE. I hope you will attend some of events at Billing in 2005 as well

750bhp engine build
The worst thing you can do (well one of....) is run out of fuel. make sure you have a sufficiently large rail and that the fuel pump is up to it as well. I would have thought twin pumps would be a good idea for the sort of power you are quoting (though not sure I agree with your maths) I assume you've already changed the oil pump, water pump, and had fitted an oil cooler and biogger rad? if not these would really make sense as well.

North East Members
Paul, The GTROC has a few members in the North east and are trying to arrange some meetings. Like anything new it takes a while to get the numbers and for people to be aware. Would you object if we joined up for 300ZX/GTR joint meetings? If so I'll pass on the details to our "Northern Rep" Thanks John

850bhp anyone
Don't believe everything you read. How is the 0-60 EXACTLY 3 seconds? How come no gear ratios when all the boxes (including aftermarket ones) have this info.? 8 gears? :D Don't know the redline? That would be set by the FCon or Power FC (or simlar) 2.75 litre is a very odd figure. There are 2.7, 2.8 and 3 litre kits but never heard of a 2.75 ................. That said, We have at least four cars at the GTROC pushing out 1000bhp+ (Flywheel) est. and a least half a dozen of 770BHP+

Sumo Power GTR!
Can't say - sorry. But it doesn't take a genious to work ut what kind of cars Andy likes. ;)
-
Sumo Power GTR!
Yes I've seen it in the workshop. Or the bodyshell at least. The engine in a large wooden box in one corner just waiting to go in. They've got a lot to do but it promises to be really something when it's done!

Sumo Power GTR!
I think Andy has retired the car. It takes a huge amount of effort and a considerable amount of money to run these times on a regular basis. However, I know of two other cars that are in preparation with the aim of beating Andy's time! 2005 is gona be a fun year!

Chrome Skyline
