Ap Racing Brakes
Quite a few Skylines run them. They're very good at stopping but have a tendancy to overheat and the disks warp if you really work them hard (i.e. track use). If that is the case you should also look at a fully floating disk/bell as well.

TOTB3? Who are your big hitters?
f you want to enter you can do so individually or as part of a club. It's better if a few of you get together and enter as a club, at least then you have a chance of winning some of the team competitions as well. The charges are £85 per car (private) or £100 for a traders/tuners car

Le Mans
The GTROC are doing a track day there if that's what you want. If you mean the 24 hour race then, No; as the Nurburgring 24 hour race will this year see the last official works outing for Skylines.

But there are separate competitions for front, rear and 4-wheel drive. So we can't win everything :D :D- More Skyline lights
Nigel, The stop/brake lights are red, the indicators (little square bit between the two roundals) are amber/orange- More Skyline lights
Try this link: http://web.onetel.net.uk/~bluem/MemberDetails/15/15.htm- More Skyline lights
Agreed where R33 lights are concerned. If you opt for the R32 lights the indicator is located between the two roundals http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/s...&threadid=19277- More Skyline lights
Would it be a good idea for someone from this forum to attend one of the GTROC pub/social meets and take a closer look? Hell! Why not all come along- More Skyline lights
Yes, you're correct. I'm no expert on 300 rear light configurations so wasn't sure if there was something that could be done to accomodate these. Hope these pictures help R34: http://images.fotopic.net/?id=2813052&outx=704&oq=0.jpg R33: http://www.endsurfer.com/gtr/homebush_bridge/DSCN1814.jpg R32: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19277- Question about front number plates
Hmmmm wasn't aware of the "accomodate standard size" bit. I don't suppose many of the UK's finest are aware of this bit as well. So it may be worth trying anyway. Certainly a lot of Skylines run small front (and rear) plates. Thanks for the info. though- Jae 2004 Update
You can download a brochure from here: http://www.the-organisation.org/JAE%202004%20Brochure.pdf- Question about front number plates
You can order a copy of the regulations from here: https://www.tso.co.uk/bookshop/bookstore.asp?AF=A10075&FO=38383&Action=AddItem&ProductID=0110429257 ........ or, if you get pulled just remember to quote Statutory Instrument 2002 No. 2687 - The Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) (Amendment) Regulations 2002. :) Basically, if it's a grey import the rules are Character Height 64mm Character Width 44mm Character Stroke 10mm Space between characters 10mm Space above and below 13mm- More Skyline lights
The R33 in the picture is a GT-R. Unless you are looking at an aftermarket light installation, and excluding some of the rarer versions such as the "Skyline City Runner" the rear lights are the samer, by model Correct. The Skyline goes right back to the 1950s (made by a company called Prince) but most people in the UK only consider rhe R32, R33 and R34. Although some R30s are on thier way ;) As regards the models, there is really no difference as far as the lights are concerned. The R32 has the smallest light surround and is probably better suited for a 300ZX (I could be wrong) The R33 has almost identical size lights to th R32 but they are much more interesting in terms of the actual design for the lenses. The surround/housing is bigger The R34 has different size lights i.e. one small one large. and will need a higher space at the rear so you may want to avoid this. If you ant more information please let me know John- Track days
Mark, You'll have a great time. If you're concerned about anything just approach one of the guys from the GTROC, we may not be 300ZX experts but there are a few people who have done a lot of track-days. Always happy to help out. See you there - Jae 2004 Update
Did you get the brochure for JAE2004?- Should I nitrous my N/A
No, because their ECUs are designed to work on data provided after the air has been charged not before. I guess you could do a Nissan that way but it would involve more work- Should I nitrous my N/A
Robtor, I can't comment on Bilky's comments as I don't know the Z engine - he may be right. However, if you're not going to abuse it that much this may not be as big an issue as you might think. Don't put the chargers in front of the afm, this will creat chaos. There will be some heat from the supercharged air but I would guess you can get away with this. Make sure the inlets are ideally situated to prevent hot air being drawn in and also make sure you minimise the heat soak. It's never going to be perfect but I wouldn't go worrying too much about air temp.- Should I nitrous my N/A
Better get two then  :)- Should I nitrous my N/A
If you're going to fit Nos, remember it's only good for short bursts. True, it can be used for longer but that isn't what it's designed for and you will soon be getting through a lot of gas. If you want to put a turbo(s) on it then there will probably be a lot of additional work in terms of loom and other ancilliaries. So it may not be as cheap as you think. As a final option you could put a supercharger. This will give you (depending on set up) maybe aother 100bhp and there is a lot less work involved. It might also make an interesting project to do anyway. As far as chargers are concerned you wont need an intercooler either with that sort of powerr so the whole thing is easier all round. As well as the normal types of charges there is also a new type - "electrocharger", which looks really simple to fit: http://www.alphamaleperformance.com/pages/1/index.htm Think long and hard before you start and now what sort of power you want and how you want to use it before you start anything. - TOTB3?
