  1. Brilliant news Mark! Can't wait to see the car again.
  2. If anyone is interested please send an e-mail to info@gtr.co.uk and I will send you all the booking details by return.
  3. Come along. The more the merrier. If you don't want to take your car out, I'm happy to take you for a few laps
  4. 1) R33 GT-R 2) no comment :x:
  5. Following the takeover of Brands by JP, this may be one of the last opportunities for us to take a day at a reasonable rate. It seems likely that JP will want to develop their own in-house track days, much as they have done at Bedford, and it is also highly likely the price will go up  The price for the whole day is £160 and it will be limited to 55 cars total, open pit lane in the afternoon and late morning. Anyone who went to the last day in December will tell you how much fun it was. Hopefully this time there wont be as much ice on the track :) :)
  6. Sorry to be picky ;) but the Atezza lights are nothjing like the Skyline rear lights. I assume you're also talking about R32/R33 lights, and GTR/GTSt/GTS ones at that? The R34 lights are not a matched pair on each side and I doubt very much whether they would fit a 300 at all. The R32 lights have a smaller housing thatn those on an R33, but both are a matched pair (if you see what I mean). It depends on what you want in thew way of housings - glass or platic....... or carbon  ? If done properly glass can be very good and will keep the cost down but you'll probably have to get a few people together to approach a fabricator as it's the set-up that will put the cost up. I'm happy to let somneone come and have a look at mine and see if that helps. John
  7. Wootley, Have you tried the "for sale" in http://www.gtr.co.uk as well?
  8. JAE confirmed. There will be an announcement to all clubs this week.
  9. The current "Skyline" bears no resemblance to the last crop (R32, R33, R34). Having said that Nismo have produced a a Skyline 350GT - Tamura forbade them from calling it a GTR. The 350GT has a 3.5 litre V8 and is RWD only. The new Skyline is not on sale in the UK and there are no plans to bring it here currently. At first glance there are a lot of similarities between the new Skyline and the 350Z but there are a lot of differences under the skin. The new GTR (without the Skyline name) is expected to be available in 2007

Chris, Do you know how many you have yet? I'm happy to post it on the GTR register if you want some more to make the numbers. If so can you send an e-mail to info@gtr.co.uk Thanks and hope the day is a great success Brgds John
  12. R33 brakes are the same as R34 brakes (allowing for V-Spec non-V-Spec) abd interchangeable. I know of one car with R33 calipers and R34 disks. I guess it depends whether you like black or gold;) If you are going to upgrade though, whatever you do is make sure it's a GT-R (not a Gts, Gts-T or GTT) Try these: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17750&highlight=brakes http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17046&highlight=brakes http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13225&highlight=brakes
  13. Matty, I just came back from a meeting in Derby, organised by Dave Wilkins of the GTROC. It's not a Skyline-only event, also in attendance were GTiRs, 200SXs and a few others (no Scoobys:dance:, and only 1 Evo:dance::dance: ) The meeting is held at the Bubble Inn (just off A50). If you want to know more please contact Dave at http://www.davewilkinsgtr.co.uk

    You could try: http://www.nismo.co.jp/
  18. What magazine was it in?
  19. May 26/27 - Spa May29-Jun 1 - Nurburgring Jun 19/20 - Isle of Man July 18 - Le Mans Sep 20/21 - Spa But, if you want to stay in the UK. Then we are planning one or two days at Brands Hatch, one at Bruntingthorpe and possible one at Donnington.
  20. Good to see a few of you guys at Brands Hatch on Monday. Garry, sorry about your boy not being able to get a ride:( Just a shame Nicolas Kiesa kept getting in the way:rofl:
  21. One of the guys at the GTROC tried it. He got about 5-10 BHP more on the day we dyno tested it, but I guess it all depends how hot the day is and how cold the water is. It also matters how fine the mist is, what the flow rate is and how adjustable it is. I've got a controller for my car (imported from New Zealand) but haven't got around to fitting it yet. Not worth doing it in the winter so will wait for some warmer weather.

So who gets membership number 300 then?:)
  23. Have you asked BIMTA to check it out? I'm not sure what the outcome would be if someone has bettert title/ownership credentials but it might help for peace of mind. You could always call them first to ask what the likelihood is before you go ahead. Their website is http://www.bimta.org.uk (I think) They will be at Brands Hatch on 8 December if someone from the 300ZX Club wants to talk to them directly. I'm happy to introduce you if it would help. John
  24. I quite agree. Some 20ish oik buys a 1200 cc Nova and they charge about £3.50 for insurance. We spend a Gerzillion quid on cars and they rob us blind. Who is going to take more care of their car?
  25. Excellent, Claire will be pleased;) Then again, maybe I'll be more pleased:) :D
