  1. Jeff, Late yesterday afternoon I read Matty's post, and was shocked. Now reading yours I am not only shocked but near to tears after learning the facts of the disgracefull behavour of a few morons. Matty, and probably you and a few others know who is responsible for this. These few idiots are truly poor excuses for human beings, and I hope they are banished forever from this board. I hope the police deal with them, but even if they are caught, its unlikely they will get a fitting punishment. For a moment, I wish we had some of the laws of Singapore, for they would be 'birched' in public, with 25 lashed on the back causing blood and permanent scars and injury. I hope you and your daughter can try to put this event behind you, and that you continue to do the good work that you do. I'm glad I did not go to Billing, I hate stuff like this. John
  2. Yes, I sent it to you, if you can send the info I will send it in with the cheque Thanks John
  3. I sent in a request to join over a week ago.......Im still waiting for a reply John
  4. I cant post in the for sale section yet, but Im not selling, so I hope you dont mind me putting this link here. Its someone on Ebay selling a cheap ECU http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2425163805&category=10402
  5. A skyline does not even come close to comparing with the zed or a gto, its an ugly dog of a car, even though it is a fast car, who would want it. John
  6. Thanks Matt, I think I will stick with the silicon grease, should cure it. Its not a massive leak (and its on the passenger side, at least I stay dry) John
  7. Thanks Mark, I will keep that in mind John
  8. From what I have heard and read, the 3000GTO can be a heap of trouble when buying a 10-13 year old car. If the 4 wheel drive box goes (and many do apparently) you could be faced with over £3000 bill. Which, is a lot when you have just paid £5000 for the car. John
  9. Mines metallic gun metal grey
  10. Robin Thanks for you offer to send me a tube (let me know how much money, including postage, and I will send you the money) I once tried to buy from RS, they make it difficult if your not in the trade. MY email me @ john.dixon50@ntlworld.com with your address (so I can send you the money) and I will e-mail back with mine. Thanks so much. John
  11. Robin, Thats the stuff I need then, this Maplins stuff is useless. Did you say once before that you got your stuff at RS Components ? Thanks John
  12. Thanks everyone. Robin, in the tube the stuff is thick, but it gets thin in the hot temps of late. Does the stuff you use (dow corning) get thin and run in the high temps ? Regards John
  13. I used silicon grease (from Maplin) to try to cure the leaks from the T-top. But in this hot weather it just runs out, gets to thin in this heat. Does anyone know of an alternative product ? Thanks John
  14. *****cks............that Jack V is an ass.............he will be dumped........no one wants thats him on their teem
  15. Brilliant GP!!!! Rubens showed e'm how to overtake, showed that french canadian d**ckhead how to drive.... Good effort by Toyota too. Lets hope its not the last British GP John
  16. Clarkey Halfords, you will need the primer, I tried it without ar first, paint ran all over the place. John
  17. Clarkey, I rubbed then down with smooth emery cloth, then grey Plasti-Kote primer. I painted mine black, looks good, but my car is gunmetal grey colour. They may not look as good on a light coloured car, but I still think black would be good. John
  18. Yeah, I get the missing font message too Jeff John
  19. Got the K & N kit from Halfords, only £10.99, will do at least 2 cleans and re-fills. Filter element is now nice and red, was whiteish before. I let it dry overnight and let it sit outside for 1 hour after oiling to make sure no excess oil. Still, from the link that was posted, the Apex does a better filtration job. But, I'm not about to change, thank god I dont have one of the 2 that were last on the list, then I definately would throw it in the bin. John
  20. Just a thought....does the K & N filter (and similar ones) offer less protection in terms of filtering out harmfull particles than the stock filter. Because the performance gain is totally worthless, who in the right mind would want to get 2% performance gain if it would mean more wear on the engine. John
  21. I just checked with Halfords, they have the K & N cleaning kit in stock.......off to buy it now. John
  22. Did this cone simply bolt on to the existing plastic intake stuff, or does the K & N stuff replace all the rest of the kit? John
  23. Stuart It is a cone, chrome top, but mounted chrome-top side down, attached to large diameter plastic assembly with a jubilee clip John
  24. Adam Are we talking about the same thing here ? over £200 ? Mine is a n/a All this for a cone ? Or is all that black plastic stuff part of the K & N filter ? I have never seen the stock filter, so I was assuming that the cone simply bolted on in place of the stock filter box ? Now I'm confused, wish i had a pic of the stock unit to compare it to. John
  25. I must have been writting my reply when you were posting yours..........yours was not on the screen at the time. I want to pick up one locally, by the time you add post to it becomes expensive cleaning kit John
