  4. While fitting a new starter motor this morning I noticed oily stuff around the drivers side tension rod (Im not sure, I think its the tension rod) I have attached a photo. Does anythone think its anything to worry about ? Thanks, John
  5. John, I really did not look to see if the rear mount was shot, I just replaced it (but the old one did not look worn at all, and compared well to the new one) its only about £64 and 1 hours labour. But even if it was shot, I doubt you could see from underneath the car. The vibration I get starts at about 30 to 50 then goes away, I can feel it in the seat back. Your vibration sounds quite severe, and you can see the rubber under some kind of compression, but what you cant see I suppose is the bearing with loads of play in it. I will have to order a centre bearing soon (Courtesy Nissan in USA, looks to be about £100 including delivery, vat and duty) and get it done. Regards John
  6. I replaced my rear transmission mount just over a week ago, I did not replace the centre prop shaft bearing tho. The vibration seams more noticable now, (unless its my imagination) Does it seam possible that due to the new, stiffer rear mount the vibration is more noticable ? Was the old one absorbing some of the vibration. Regards John
  7. I tried Mer, but I went back to Autoglym. I waxed it early this morning, then put on Autoglym's Gloss Protection, absolutely fantastic, never seen such a deep gloss. John

  11. Jack, Yes, I replaced the rear gearbox mount last week. It appears to have reduced the vibration. Its very difficult to tell what is 'normal'. I have never driven another zed, so I dont know if what I have now beyond the normal. Thanks John

  14. I am thinking of ordering a centre prop shaft bearing from Courtesy. Is there a difference between the USA one and my Jap one. Do they always come mounted in the housing, or is it possible they have quoted me just on a bearing ? Cheers John

  20. Hi Did you send Craig the cheque for £20 ? If you have then e-mail AndyP (Im not sure if he's back from holiday yet) and tell him you have paid, he will then make you a full member Cheers John
  21. Thanks Jonny I guess I was expecting to see it falling to bits, if this does not stop the vibration than its the centre prop shaft bearing next. Thanks John
  22. I just replaced the rear transmission mount on my 1992 import auto n/a. The old one looked ok though, no splits in the rubber, seemed soft enough. When they deteriorate can you tell by looking at it ? Has anyone replaced theirs and the old one looked knackered ? Thanks John
