I seem to get challenged every time I leave the house recently! There's a a series 1 Renault Clio Williams that must live locally, as I keep coming across the feckin thing, that always insists on tail-gating me...so far I've just made a point of cruising at a moderate speed just to annoy the hell out of him! The funniest so far has got to be being harrassed by a Volvo Estate:eek: :D and perhaps the most satisfying has got to be being challenged by a Boxster (must of been the standard one) on the way back from Billing...my first big name kill, ahhh happy memories...;) Leigh.
  2. Same here if thats ok with you Anita?;) Leigh.
  3. The rumours concerning the Earths demise have been greatly exaggerated. Mass hallucination and hysteria were blamed and the CIA stalwartly denied any involvement. Which as any right-minded person knows is a sure fire sign that they were in it up to their necks...However, no-one quite got round to explaining what happened to the Dolphins...(who are far better at making intricately etched glassware than people know). Just another puzzle for those of us who live Inside The Asylum;) Leigh
  4. And while we're on the subject of music, can I urge people to download 3 tracks I`ve been completely hooked on recently: 1) Johnny Cash covering NIN's "Hurt" (particularly poignant in light of his passing. Rest in Peace man.) 2)Gary Jules covering an old Tears for Fears song "Mad World" (I know this sounds dodgy but...my God...it's truly the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard in my life) and finally, 3) some Nashville Country and Western with a twist...Lambchop doing an amazing cover of The Sisters of Mercy "This Corrosion"...Mmmmm...swampy! :D Try 'em...you might like 'em!;) Leigh.
  5. IMHO (in no particular order): NIN: The Perfect Drug (Trent Reznor is simply a genius) Linkin Park: Faint Idlewild: A Modern Way of Letting Go Primal Scream: Rocks The Vines: Get Free Garbage: Vow Fischerspooner: Emerge Depeche Mode: Personal Jesus Hole: Celebrity Skin The Pixies: Debaser or possibly Where Is My Mind? King Adora: Bionic (don't knock 'em they're local;) ) Marilyn Manson: Disposable Teens Placebo: Nancy Boy Smashing Pumpkins: Bullet (With Butterfly Wings) (My fav band since I was 15, Billy Corgan is a god in my book) The Darkness: I Believe In A Thing Called Love Manic Street Preachers: Motorcycle Emptiness Kenickie: Come Out 2Nite The Dandy Warhols: We Used to be Friends President of The United States of America: Kitty The Strokes: Take It or Leave It Prodigy: Funky Sh1t (51x;) ) American Hi-Fi: Black Satellite Har Mar Superstar: EZ Pass The Wedding Present: Dalliance Hell, this is more or less what I've got in the car at the moment anyway! :D Its always either homemade compilations or rough cuts of guitar stuff and assorted beats from the band(s)I`m involved in...always seem to get pretty good ideas driving around...;) Leigh.
  6. Hmmm...more power+your Cusco diff...remind me to bring a change of undercrackers if we go for a spin when it's all sorted John! More fun to be had at roundabouts! ;) :D
  7. Quality!
  8. Hey John, looking forward to seeing what your car makes after all the tweaking!:D Just gettin over this flu thing thats going around at the mo then I`ll be on the blower about the upgrade we discussed...;)...sorry folks, back on topic now!:p Leigh.
  9. Nice one Pete! Funnily enough I was looking at them on Smithys site just last night as I've had to change the lines twice already and thought I might as well go the extra mile and do it properly! :D Leigh
  10. Like I said on the other thread, I`m definately up for this...:D Leigh.
  11. Mind you, I gotta say that for the first quarter I was a little distracted. The girl behind me kept kicking my chair. When I turned around and asked her to stop she said "Oh, I`m really sorry!"...silly mare didn't even realised she was doing it, and thankfully stopped. Jesus...I worry about people sometimes...
  12. I`d definately be interested if the RR is at Thor-Racing... Leigh.
  13. Hmmm...funny...personally I thought the "philosophy mumbo jumbo" of the two previous films was one of the things that allowed them to transcend the "action movie" genre stereotype, perhaps THE one thing (over and above the "bullet-time" special effects) that has allowed this trilogy of films to so quickly and firmly embed itself in the socio-cultural consciousness. Anyway...;) ...I kinda enjoyed Revolutions but...you know that feeling you get when you leave the cinema after a great film and you`re buzzin? As if you haven`t quite left the world of the story behind? Didn`t get that high from this one. But its still definately worth a look. Leigh.
  14. You`ve already got my thumbs up on this one...nice one fellas..should be a laugh:D Leigh.
  15. Hmmm...this has been an interesting thread! Ok, serious(ish) hat on, here’s my 2p’s worth. “There’s no such thing as bad publicity except your own obituary” – Brendan Behan. I’m not offering that quote as a truism or to be flippant, but I do think, on the whole, it’s right. Although as a rule I normally go for “Banzai” or “Performance”, I myself admit to buying Max Power on rare occasions (why do I feel like a member of a support group when I type that?), and although I’m never overly impressed outside of the particular review I bought it for, there is a whole section of people out there, both nationally and internationally, that are. Trying to look at the situation from a positive viewpoint I see it as a great opportunity to raise the profile of the club. The fringe benefits being people involved get their 5 minutes of “fame” and with that an article involving them and their car to keep; we may encourage people out of what you could call their motoring “youth”, letting them see an alternative that they perhaps were previously unaware of, and we also get to showcase a car that we all love (the abiding reason we’re all here in the first place), a car that will stand out a mile amidst the usual suspects (tongue firmly in cheek!;)) I’m as concerned about the culture of “dumbing down” as anyone else, but I think anything that smacks too much of “elitism” or a “them and us” attitude needs to be addressed…and I say that in a non-accusatory way before anyone takes it personally! (If ya do…see you in Fight Club! :D ) Speaking for myself, I’d love to be involved, but like everyone else, it’s only my opinion. Leigh.
  16. Oh yes... ...it is. And I've got the therapists bill to prove it. Trust me on this one. :p
  17. If you think the back of a Zed`s bad try travelling from London to Nottingham in the "backseat" (correction, "shelf") of an Audi TT. After 2 hours of sleep. On a sofa. With a hangover. And all because you`re mates girlfriend decides to tag along at the last minute. Me...bitter? Nah...  :D Leigh.
  18. Blade was definately a good film but for my money the best in the genre is still "Near Dark"...Lance Henriksen is fantastic and its perhaps the only vampire movie where the word vampire isn`t used once. Got high hopes for Cabin Fever in scaring the bejeezus outta me to...can`t wait!:D
  19. I'm biased...I've always had a weakness for goth-esque girls!:D Kate Beckinsale aside (did I just say that? Somebody slap me... :slap: Right, thanks.) it was a good movie...For a film in this genre it kinda lost its pace a little half-way through for me but I still thought it was worth the price of a cinema ticket (which seems to be getting more and more extortionate every year. Mind you nearly had a heart attack when I went down to London and was charged a tenner for the flicks in Leicester Square! B*st*rds!Sorry, whinge over:D )
  20. Just noticed this thread and had to say... ...Kate Beckinsale... ...In skintight PVC... ...there IS a God. :D Leigh.
  21. Lol! Thank God, looks like I`m not going mad after all...mine started to develop what I imagine to be the same noise a couple of days ago and haven`t been able to trace where its coming from for love nor money...wow...it`s getting like a support group...I`ll take sickle cell, tuberculosis and squealing Zeds and you can have testicular cancer, organic brain dementia and melanoma. But I`ll fight you for ascending bowel cancer...just me? Ok...I`ll get me coat.;) Leigh.
  22. I`ve never been much into body kits...but after seeing that...blimey...it`s made me think again. Would definately be interested.
  23. John: Not that I think you need persuading to go single exit, on the subject of "loudness", I pulled into a space on a retail park the other day and set off both alarms of the cars either side of me...and again when I left!:D The pics already posted are more or less the same as I`ve got of the rear of mine, but here's a close-up for the hell of it...(does this class as exhaust porn? Lol! :p ) Leigh.
  24. And the other one....
  25. A couple of pics of my single outlet system mate, if they`re any use to you...and yes...it`s loud as hell and its not even de-catted yet! (not for long though...;) )
