OK, have finally managed to contact Chris at G-Force Motoring in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and have the following details for all who wish to go on a Rolling Road.

Date is from at least 7th February next year, as they are booked up till then, probably best to avoid booking an RR day on the 14th February, for obvious reasons. :D ;)

So, if we say 7th February, we need a minimum of 12 cars to make this viable and can have up to 30.

N/A Zeds are £35 each inc Vat

TT Zeds are £40 each inc Vat.

Payment can be made on the day, chqs payable to G-Force Motorsport.

A little more expensive but these guys are highly recommended. Also, as this is the price regardless of how many Zeds attend, suggest that it can be open to all - members and non-members alike. :)

They would also like at least one standard Zed in order to be able to set up the machines purely for our cars.

They advise that you check your tyre pressures, oil / water levels and coolant before the RR day. They will also check these on the day, to make sure that the possibility of damage is reduced.

So - who's interested for the 7th February? Or is there a more preferable date?

List of names, please. :)

What happened to this being Midlands based so not everyone had to travel silly distances

Do you know the reason why the TTs are more expensive to test?

Apparently they are more expensive as they take longer to get to boost pressure so take up more time on the RR, so I was told.

Chris - I can't please everyone with regards to location. These are highly recommended and have RRd cars like Subarus and Porsches.

If anyone knows a decent RR in the Midlands / further north then I'm happy to organise that one for those that are interested.

Buckinghamshire isn't THAT far south. :)

What they're charging an extra fiver for what could be a whole extra couple of seconds? LMFAO

Anyway, a TT will redline faster than an NA so that p1sses on that bonfire!!!

If they wanna be more realistic they should charge more for manuals with all those pesky time consuming gear changes!

Sooooo I take it that no one's interested? ;)

Fair enough...less organisation for me to do! :D :D

I'm interested :)

LOL - Aylesbury is in the Midlands, isn't it? Any further North and I'd get a nosebleed ;)

Seriously though, Sorry Neet, but I'd be interested ;) - let's just assume that the notion about charging more for TTs is surmountable, that surely can't be right, can it?

Perhaps they just assume TT drivers have deeper pockets, neglecting to notice that for that very reason, they're often emptier too :D

I missed the last one, so am keen to do one soon! :D

Hi Ajay,

Noble Racing in Chesterfield come highly recommended. They prepare engines for Noble cars and have done top rate work on several cars I know of - AND they're more than 50 miles from the sowf coast :D

Less than 10 miles from the M1.

Ajay,

Very intersted as I know G-Force and I have visited them a couple of times with the MLR. They have a pretty good rep, and produce reliable figures. Could we not absorb the £5 cost or split it?

Following their logic, when I took my TT Galant to the Single Turbo Evo day, I should have paid more but I did not.

Any-road-up, I'd still like to go.

Phil.
