Single Outlet Exhaust
Before I say anything else, a huge ta very much to John for sortin my Z out yesterday...bloody hell mate, she goes like sh1t off a shovel now! :D Like I said in my text, I`ll get the car up on stands (might be able to do it late this afternoon actually...), take some pics of the system and email `em to you! If anyone`s interested in seeing it either mail me at friday76@lycos.com, or maybe if it`s cool with you John, you could post `em on this thread (can`t post pics myself just yet) when you get them? Friday.

Z spotted: Sparkhill, Birmingham...anyone?
Coming back from dropping my insane American friend off at New Street Station to get her train, turned off the Stratford road to go the back way home to Solihull and saw a charcoal grey Z appear behind me. Gave him/her the thumbs up out my window (cheesy I know, but at least its better than the weird VW wave it was obligatory to do when I owned a Beetle!). They followed me for a minute before honking their horn and turning off...so...anyone on here?:p Friday.

Fitting ECU and AVC-R at the weekend. Any advice?
This weekend, all being well, I should be getting my replacement ECU and Apexi AVC-R fitted (by the hand of the very generous John Dixon...cheers in advance John!:D ). Was wondering if theres anything extra I need to go out and get beforehand...for example, the manual mentions being able to wire up a "Scramble" button/switch (not supplied) for immediate lower/higher boost...or if anyones got any advice concerning the fitting itself? Cheers, Friday.

How do you get to yours?
`76 VW Beetle (cheap and fun but drove like a tank:rolleyes: ) `74 MGB GT (great car...but hideously tempremental, particularly in winter:mad: ) `91 Mazda MX-5 (fun car to drive...if you can only get past the hairdresser comments... ) `91 Nissan 300ZX, TT, 2+2. (Oh Lordy mother, I`m home!:D ) Friday.

Woo-Hooooo!!!! Got one!!!
Nice one mate. :D As a new owner myself I know how fan-bloody-tastic the feeling is. Three weeks on from picking her up and I still get a buzz off seeing her as I open the garage...and I guess as most of the guys here on the forum would say, I imagine it just gets better! Enjoy! Friday.

New Z on the block.
Cheers mate. Was an added bonus that she came with those wheels. When I was looking at Z`s in this country I`d pretty much decided to go with a simple 17" five spoke job, so was chuffed when they found a car that came with `em. Not having to buy new wheels=more money More money=more tuning bits More tuning bits=more power! :D

Hmmm...quite! Couldn`t have put it better myself...:D

New Z on the block.
Yup, it`s a 2+2. The strut brace hardly takes up any room...I was suprised myself when I saw it. Got a photo of that to if only I could attach it! :) Friday.

New Z on the block.
Well, I`ve got loads of pics...but don`t know how to "show and tell" as I don`t have a homepage and can`t post attachments. Bugger. Think I`ll be paying my subscription soon to remedy this! :) Friday.

New Z on the block.
Hey everyone, just thought I`d make my official introductions to the forum after several months of accomplished lurking, as I`ve finally got my Z! Picked her up three weeks ago (`91, manual, TT, silver, imported with Newera who I`d highly recommend) and I can honestly say that I`ve NEVER enjoyed driving as much as I am now. I was lucky in that she came with an aftermarket exhaust system (with a single exit pipe that is unfeasibly large and which makes enough noise to worry old ladies and scare small children), lowered suspension (my hatred of speed bumps has reached new and exciting heights), a rear strut brace (practical, yet shiny...), 17" alloys and leather interior. Of course, after 4 months of thumb twiddling I`ve got plenty of plans for the car and I gotta say a big thank you to John (Dixon) for sorting me out a JWT chip ;) Ammar for the Apexi AVC-R and to Matty for dropping me a line welcoming me as a fellow Brummie Zedder :D Now, where did I put the number for that Blitz dealer... :D Friday

Yup on both counts, though the ZR`s she came with were part worn (to be honest not that much). Even so, have just ordered a full set of Goodyear Eagle F1`s which should make her stick nicely :D Friday.

Max power live
That was mine in the car park! :D Also had a chat to the guy with the Yellow Z, (name of Daz). Funnily enough his business is situated just 5 mins down the road from the Z centre in Mappley...which is handy as I go up on the odd weekend to stay with a mate to go out drinking in Nottingham...now I got 2 more reasons to visit other than beer and women! :D The carbon front and rear splitters looked amazing...would go nicely with the carbon wing I`m scraping together to buy (the GT-200, same as on Jamie Shaws TVR...cue the Rice comments   ) Friday.

Well, instead of cutting into the body work or hanging it off the bottom they converted one of the reversing lights to a fog. The switch for this was mounted just to the left of the steering column, hardly noticeable at all.

Cheers guys! Posidrive: I think Miguel has just shipped over a late model TT, he mentioned it in his last email and I think its on the Newera website if you`re interested. Ajay: Funnily enough, picked up the forms to apply for a Shell Nectar card the other night...got a feeling its going to come in handy! :D Friday.

Got the car, and its........fantastic!:D :D :D When I picked it up from Motormall it was like walking onto the set of The Fast and The Furious......high performance Jap cars EVERYWHERE. My Zed drives like a dream (damn, the journey back was fun!)...the only two miniscule gripes are that there is slight cracking of the paint on the right hand side of the spoiler which I wasn`t made aware of (but which I`m removing anyway to fit an aftermarket carbon fibre jobbie) and I was promised a full tank of petrol which didn`t materialise...but in the great scheme of things, I ain`t that bothered! To sum up, I`m chuffed beyond belief and would highly recommend Newera to any potential buyers out there. Will be posting in General Chat soon to make my official introductions... Friday.

Ok, now I`m slightly worried! Well, it`s too late for anything now so guess I`ll just have to bring the heavy mob down with me to sort `em out if it turns out to be a sh*tter! (Though reckon "Big Trev" and "Ripper" will have a job fittin behind the seats of the MR2...:D ) Cheers for the info on the cameras Tim, I`ll be taking it damn steady on the way back anyway until I lose a bit of the lead in my right foot!;)

Picking up my `91 TT on Wednesday that was ordered through Newera (long drive to Densole near Folkestone in my mates knackered Mk 1 Toyota MR2 on the way down :( ...long drive back to Birmingham in the Zed :D ) Service was very good, Miguel the main guy in Japan knows his onions and can`t do enough to help...though have to say that although they`re very polite, the British end of the operation didn`t always seem to be as on the ball as they could be, but thats just a small gripe. Obviously can`t comment on the car itself as I ain`t driven it yet (!) but I`ve got absolutely no reason to think it`s going to be anything less than superb. Will know more come Wednesday!

In- Car Tft Lcd Monitor/tv...
Hey there, You might want to take a look at the Pyramid MV7SC screen. Its a TFT 7.2" unit (comes with a remote) and although it`s designed to fit in a headrest it probably can be mounted "in-dash". The best part is...it`s only £200! :D If I wasn`t forking out for a boost controller I`d be buying one myself!

Importing from the US:any pitfalls?
Hey everyone. Well, my `91 TT is now in the country :D hopefully going to be ready for collection in two (maybe three) weeks. Previous owner already fitted a sports exhaust system, lowered it, added 17s and a rear strut brace and since joining this forum I`ve aquired a JWT chip (cheers John if you`re reading this! ;) ), the Blitz Sonic Power induction kit is on order and now waiting till next month to sort out a HKS EVC V unit. After buying the car and other bits as you can imagine the coffers are running a bit empty! But as is the way, theres always something else that demands to be bought! ;) From the posts I`ve read it does seem that importing parts from the US can work out cheaper, but as I`ve never done this kind of thing before (customs, tax etc for the car was all dealt with by the importers, Newera) I was just wondering what the best way to go about it is, if theres anything I need to look out for, how the price structure works etc... I`ve currently got my eye on a Carbon fibre APR "pylon" spoiler (am getting prepared for the Rice comments!), listed as $497.70 in the US (http://www.cartunerz.com/apr/gt200.jpg if anyone wants to take a look), about to be sold here by Impossible Performance for £650 (TBC) though some 555 injectors may take priority. Cheers, Leigh.
