SE Fast Autobox
In fairness, only SE do an SE fast auto box, and as they no longer exist youll have some trouble finding a new one, and if you do I would be suspicious. However Karlos is right in that ZTech also do a higher spec autobox and if you give them a call I am sure they will advise you of the advantages

Blitz Induction Cone?? Soak in oil??
the K&N ( and other) sponge style filters have to be sprayed lightly (not soaked) in oil ( halfords do a reasonable air filter oil, also a cleaning solvent)after cleaning, these are the ones your old man prob fitted to his bike. They were sprayed with oil because the foam that the filters were made of allowed the smaller grit particles through, the oil traps them. The "paper" ones dont need to be sprayed with oil, to clean them I blow them through with an air hose (making sure you do it it against the intake flow) or if really bad I wash them (again making sure you are washing out, not in), its important also that you dry them thoroughly before re-fitting. Hammy is Road legal
Hate to be all "health and safety" (it is my job) but try and remember that this is the start of you learning to drive not the end. Learn the limits of your car and your own limits, and no matter how much your mates think it is a good idea, stay within them. That said congratulations, I hope you get the next step of the "dream" and find yourself in the driving seat of your own zed :)

At last!!
News flash: government proposals announced tonight to ban the consumption of alchohol on all public transport including flights. The reason quoted was the risk to other passengers. Now let me think, when did they ban smoking on public transport including flights, was it 94ish?? The reason they quoted then? risk to other passengers. A note also on the NHS issue, the cost incurred when smokers are treated for chest infections, the ubiquitos cancer et al I am sure is offsetby the fact that, when they get ill, they generally die younger and quicker. A little known fact is that, generally speaking, smokers do not suffer from Parkinsons disease or altzhiemers (?), a debilitating affliction which causes people to lose mental faculties and require constant (and expensive) care long into their dotage.

At last!!
Nice to see some more reasoned views on both sides :). I too am t-total because I get anti-social in drink, and decided it was unfair to take out my aggresiveness on innocent bystanders. So it seems that I might be a yellow (not really) wrinkled(nope) hacking (never cough) smelly (my mrs doesnt smoke, and neither she nor anyone else has ever complained) toothless( guilty, but fook all to do with fags) old hasbeen, but i do have a social conscience. I dont actually care if the ban smoking in pubs, i dont work there any more and I dont use them, I can happily sit on a 9 hr flight without a fag ( or w@nky stick on patches), or go and visit someone for the evening and not smoke in their house. Once again the point of my comments was the erosion of personal liberties, and as a heads up to you guys that the masive lobby machine wil not suddenly dissapear, but will find new soft targets, lets face it , the car is already taxed to the hilt. The other question is can the system simply follow the loss of revenue involved in this ban (either through lower alchohol sales, or lower cigarette sales), or will they seek the revenue elsewhere? Its a call to think , not a call to have a tear up

At last!!
And a stir was caused.lol Some interesting points. Non smokers have rights, why should we go somewhere else? I do, if I go to a restaraunt and find it is no smoking, I will go somewhere I can enjoy a cigarette after my meal. I dont drink, do Inot therefore have a right to go about life unmolested by the detrius of drinkers? the botttles/ cans, the overtly violent chavs who only try it on because they are p1ssed, the complete t0sspot fukwits who STILL think they can have a drink and drive? Is it not a case of cant give up?TBH I dont know bud, been smoking 30 of my 38 years and fooking love every one, I know they are addictive, I know its not good for me, I know at some level I have been conditioned to think that fags are cool and sexy (and in fact that they are not) but taking all that into account, I foooking love em. They just cant be allowed to continue to affect the lives of those around them Like drunk drivers? like friday night stella ninjas, like wife beaters? Like the cars we all drive causing a massive rise in asthma? I dont blow smoke into peoples faces, I dont smoke in other peoples house or cars (unless given express permission) and I dont bleat about how good it is to be a smoker, I would never try top convince someone to smioke and I think people who sell fags to kids should be castrated. My post was not to wind people up, but to point out that this ban is the sharp end of a very thin wedge

At last!!
This country makes me laugh, you dont want to watch a tv programme, you switch it off, you dont want to sit in a smokey pub, go somewhere else. All you guys who either dont smoke or have given up smoking are missing the big point. Do you really think the goverment did this because of your, or my health? If that was the case they would ban cigarettes totally, but they never will because the tax that they get from sales supports the NHS. Where else, apart from petrol, do they get to charge 400% tax? Because its good for the health of the nation/ environment? My stripey @rse Well heres a signpost on the rocky road of life chaps, if you read the news papers, you will notice a lot of stories about the cost in health/ policing/ medical costs of drinking/alchohol. Do you really think that the massive industry/ pressure group machine that has sprung up around tobacco is all going to go home , safe in the knowledge that they have banned the dreaded weed? No chance, they are going to move in on the alchohol drinkers and the car drivers. These people dont give a monkeys if your healthy, or your clothes smell nice as long as they have an input into your life, and can tell you what to do. I am guessing you will be less than happy when you can no longer drive to your local (congestion charge, hiked petrol prices, total car ban in cities) nor have a pint there ( cost of policing/ assaults on nurses/ damage to family unit/ bad example to youngsters)? You might think I am having a rant, and as a confirmed smoker of 30 yrs who actually enjoys it ( sod it, I fooking love my tabs) I am , but if you think its all in my mind: There is currently an EU plan to totally ban all motorcycles within 10 yrs They are currently expanding the congestion charge in london and Birmingham, Manchester and liverpool are looking at imposing one They are trialling cats eyes which can not only tell if you are speeding, but read your number plate (and no doubt pick up the signal from your car that they are also trialling) Cars that dont let you cross a white line, or get too close to the car in front ... and on and on Enjoy your smokeless pubs, but don't winge when you cant do the things you enjoy in a few years time. Meanwhile I am planning to be the first person who gets banged up for having a tab in a public place.
