would be interested to hear how the supercharger goes
  2. I will try the above and see if it works. My mate was talking about removing some pipes and jointing them without the unit (solenoid? (don't ask me I am a bike man!)) and if the heater then worked the unit was knackered.
  3. Blinding effort on this stuart. We should all do the same with any jobs we do and shortly we would have a haynes manual for the zed. Except you would be able to trust it unlike the Haynes book of lies:)
  4. evening all again, and thanks to those that offered advice on power gains/ induction I have just been for a run in the zed and tried the a/c, the blower works fine but no heat. A friend tells me that there is a (simple?) test to see whether it is a small component or a major one. Anyone have a clue what he is talking about?
  5. I just insured my 90n/a classic insurance, croydon postcode ban and an sp50 on licence, 35 yrs old £995. Guess I will keep looking Jock
  6. Couple more questions on my '90 NA 1) needs a new zorst, probably a full system, any recommendations? Back before I got into bikes PECO were the one to go for, but times change 2) Will probably look at freeing up the breathing somewhat, is an free air filter (eg K&N ) enough or should I go for a cold air induction kit? 3) Any other suggestions to enable a few more ponies out of the stable would be appreciated Cheers
  7. Out by sanderstead way ( far from the madding crowd so to speak) you?
  8. thanks for the replies, and the welcome
  9. Evening All. Just joined what seems to be a merry band of ZX owners (old and normally aspirated, bit like yours truly). Question is, I appear to have a dud oil pressure gauge, is this common? any advice would be appreciated, also any suggestions for decent garages in the croydon/ surrey area
