  1. Craig, I have not got the experience of most of the guys on this site, so will simply say this: I sold my 98 blade to buy my Zed. I have found the car (although only a NA) a FGL to run around in, have chased Gixer 750s through the bends and never regretted a minute since I picked the car up 3 weeks ago. I have started on the modding, having said that first thing I did on the blade was stick a loud pipe and a hugger on it, and I am looking forward to spending as much as it takes to make the car what I want it to be. Ps if you think that the camraderie of the bikers is good, you will love this forum Just my honest opinion
  2. well the foot note on this little tragedy is that I booked to have it fitted on tuesday. I will let you know how it goes
  3. got a name for the flush you used?
  4. thanks vijay. I admit I was hoping for someone local, but I have heard good things about courtesy. Cheers
  5. Just a quicky (ooh, err) Is there anyone who provides a 60k service pack, with all the parts etc required for the service rather than trying to source all the various bits and pieces?
  6. cheers geoff, did you have to put a chip in to match it? Where in SE are you?
  7. I did look at mongoose, but there is the ordering, posting and having to fit it myself. These guys build the exhaust onto the car ( they doont do any stock) and I pick the car up in the afternoon

IMHO, you should never drink anything red and french, Bulgarian reds (particularly the reserve Cabernet sauvignon's) are excellent as are the aussies and calis. Montepulciano di allbruzu is a fave Italian. All the above come in around the £7 mark. For a full bodied red you cannot beat Bull's Blood of yger. As for white premier cru chardonnay (abit expensive), cali whites or a true sicillian white. German Eiswein (made from frozen grapes is good, but quite hard to find. Never drink any table wine of any nationality as it is a mixture of wines and usually pooh. OOH, listen to me gone all Ronay.lol.
  9. After a recommendation from a mate, went to see Longlife exhausts. T304 SS exhaust, twin exits, downpipes back (ex cats) £656 fitted in 2-3 hrs? Has anyone on here used them? opinions? http://Http://www.Exhausts.uk.com And the best bit is I dont have to drive 300 miles to have em fitted!
  10. sounds like one for the fight club I cant have an opinion as I am from glasgow, have lived in london for 15 yrs. Both cities have their bad and good points
  11. yes it did stick at various speeds. I dont know if zeds have cables as have only had mine a few weeks, but thought would offer the info in case it helped
  12. had a cortina that did that once, it had teeth missing from the speedo cable end, maybe that or the cable not fitted properly
  13. makes me feel better about the nick of my zed.lol
  14. Well as a tee-totaller, if any naked women want to drop beer round yours and then turn up at mine, I am totally cool with that
  15. Thanks for the info Andy. And due thanks and regards to those that have helped me both in posts and by contributing on the earlier cycle. However if there is another contribution needed I will be more than happy to join, as the help I have recieved here both from old forums and members has been outstanding. Regards
  16. How do I go about paying a subscription? Have emailed craig with no joy Cant believe I am having trouble paying someone:D
  17. Ram air (in a bike stylee) charges the air box As you have an induction kit, there is no air box to charge. Also there is a lot of design goes into air paths etc. So I would drop the ram air thing. However many thanks for trying the Electric Supercharger, I looked at the site and it made sense "bang in lots of ait at WOT, let the ECU sort out the mix, more air/fuel mix= more speed" Glad that you tried it and proved it wrong, saving me the time , expense and laughter/tears. Good work fella
  18. its just as well they dont know me, as giving me the keys made me more likely to prang it and the only thing likely to lower the risk is somebody taking them back off me ( unlikely.lol)
  19. "a couple of questions Would this fit an N/a, I have a low level spoiler but it has gone down the bubbly route What colour ( I know its a cheap question but only want a short term fix until I decide what spoiler I really want)" Put my hands up to bieng a complete plank read this as spoiler rather than spoiler brake light. DOH:o
  20. also, would this mean that the guy who fitted the induction cone fitted a chip? if so how can I check?

The only thing I can add to the above is that if this is your first time doing spark plugs, a few points to note. Make sure the area around the sparkplug is clean as you can get it before you remove the plug, any dust/grit around it will fall straight into the cylinder Spark plugs are a very easy thread to put back in, if you have to force it the spark plug is probably not sitting square in the thread. Take it out and try again, and keep doing it until you get a nice smooth turn without putting any effort in. If you knacker the thread it will be a PITA to sort. All the best
  22. ok its an induction cone with RAID HP on the filter. it is connected to a black plastic cylinder with NISSAN on it with metal mesh on either end and what appears to be a sensor in the middle. There is a connector to the "sensor " on the outside
  23. inserting the picture didnt work, damn
  24. Thanks to all the guys advice on here, and the good weather, I decided to have a look at my air box and see what was what. Took off thwe front panel and found this bugger sat there Now I know what it is, but dont know whether its a good make ( is there a bad make?) Also, is the black tube on top the o2 sensor?
