This thread cracks me up. everyone is saying how mad they are about the prices then putting down an idea to show that people are concerted enough to take action. That is why this, or any other plan wont work., because basically the British population have lost whatever "bulldog" spirit they ever had. What also makes me laugh is the very people we all slag off (the french) do what we should be: if they dont like something they revolt, they kick off in the street, they storm govt. offices. We sit back with our stiff upper lip and take it ana11y from succesive goverments. We all think its terrible that immigration is going wild, that we pay road tax that doesnt go on roads, the NHS has more managers than nurses and we moan and do SFA about it. Now I know two things, the petrol strikes didnt overly concern the big companies but they did concern the government. Why? because if the government thinks for one second that they have been stupid enough to wake the dormant spirit that is (hopefully) still within every british person enough that Mr & Mrs Smith actually get off there arse and do something then they are bang in trouble. And for anyone who doesnt think they were worried why did they put the army on standby? That might not seem a big thing but this wasnt to replace the firemen, or the ambulancemen but to control the british public, not to provide a service, but to maintain law and order. Thats a big thing in britain. So moan away, if you must, but I think if your not prepared to stand up and be counted by your actions then you should sit down in your corner and STFU

We rent at the moment and I am self employed, went through exactly the same shit, I puulled the chequebook and offered 12 months up front and she STFU. I would say take pics of every room in the house as have know people to be billed for damage that was there when they moved in. Have gone down the buying route now, tho getting a mortgage is not simple either.FFS

In my opinion the NA is a better everyday car, you can use more of it s power more of the time, less bits to go wrong (no turbos, hicas) and more room in the rengine bay to fix it if it does. The NA is less tuneable than the TT for a smaller percentage gain, has smaller front brakes and only comes in jap spec

Its the block side of the top rwater pipe, when tyou take off the top water pipe, there are two rubber hoses with clips around them, they leed to two small pipes on the block, Yas is holding one of them.

The heat sheild around the exhaust/cat quite often is loose and rattles at low revs, particularly if there is an aftermarket pipe fitted, as a lot of garages just cut it leaving the ends loose

Your NA will have smaller front calipers and thiner disks. I think youll find with all the TT boys doing upgrades that TT calipers/ disks are not difficult to come by

MAte you can do the bypass with just the hose and a couple of jubilee clips, no need to go mad with the piping. It doesnt even matter if the hose you use is kinked, as the heater matrix circuit is a side shoot off the main coolant circuit, if you block it the coolant in the block will still flow. You are just stoipping the water pissing out. Give me a bell on 07812-586102 if this doesnt make sense
