noisey camchain
It may be the tensioner, or it could be the hydraulic lifters. If it has been sat for a while they may have drained or seized. Take it for an easy run and see if it clears

Value for money
Was out and about today and passed a traffic cop in a brand new Range rover, leather interior, so not a cheap version ( the designer on those must have taken a day off when they done the back end. FFS) then gets home and watching the SO19 boys turning up to nick some people re the bombings in an X-5. No w I am by no means anti-police, every job that involves power over others draws some tosspots, but generally speaking I think they do a bloody hard job for not enough money. But, I am guessing thta between the two motors above your not going to get much change out of 120 Large, neither are particularly spacious, or fast or inconspicous so why does the Met spend shed loads of money on the latest motors and then complain that they cant afford to pay their guys a decent bunce? If I wanted an inconspicous van in which to carry myself and a few heavily armed mates inconspicously around london my tool of choiced would be a dented transit, the choice for pursuing people down the motorway.... XR4I, Cossie or even dare I say it , a jam sandwiched Zed. I know that these are only two scenarios that police vehicles are expected to perform in, but I feel that our hard earned tax pennies would be better spent putting more, or better paid coppers on the beat, rather than flash motors and some "Community Support Officers" (talking of which, do they all have to pass the village idiot test before being issued a uniform? if they were good enough to be coppers, they would be coppers.FFS). Rant over :)

Black Box petition
Darling messed up the railways, now hes being allowed to play with the cars. Personally think he should go play with the buses. I'd like to know what competence these muppets claim to have to allow them to run the country

info on changing a ptu ??
I do have the connector loom, but like said above, didnt see the point of addin another 2 connections in to the mix, so am soldering the nerw connectors into the old loom and shortening them to fit the new position.

silly question.
if you have a jap car and you have a speed converter fitted, it could be that on its way out, or the speed sensor fitted to the gear box, both of which would cause the same symptoms and are more likely that the PAS pump or steering rack.

how healthy are you
Ive done both sides, used to be mad on the gym, havent been near one in 7 years. Gave up drink 12 yrs ago, but smoked since I was eight (30 yrs of Marlboro :)) I am almost completely carnivore, dont do salad or fruit (though the mrs keeps slipping rabbit food on my plate, only to find it in the bin later) love anything that can be called junk food KFC, curry, chinese, MCD's, Now a firm believer in the old adage that being healthy doesnt make you live longer, just makes it seem to be a long process :)

Warning! eyes n petrol
I did something silly a few moments ago. Cillit Bang: fooking great spoonfulls in my rad (removed from the car before you ask) fillup the rad with boiling water from the kettle, cap back on. Bit of a shoogle (thats a shake to you suverners) and left for a few to "do it's magic". At this stage, as an educated type bloke, I should have considered the combination of effervescent cleaner and boiling water in an enclosed space, I didn't, I eat my dinner (chicken breasts in bacon with melted cheese if you must know) On opening the rad cap it didnt go in my eye (thank fook) but I have just spent twenty minutes cleaning it off the ceiling (cilit bang cleans the sh1t out your radiator but for some reason wont clean it off a painted white ceiling) mrs Jock = leass than pleased :(

In all honesty, how reliable is your TT??
I have owned two zeds now, an NA which never gave me any trouble (though I gave it plenty, not half as handy with a spray can as you :)) and the TT I have now which I bought knowing it had a few issues, neither has broken down or let me down. Accept what it is, learn a bit about basic looking after/ servicing and you will not be dissapointed. Zed Confucious say: better to by a dog you know is a dog than a pig you think is a princess. Know what I mean?
