Snug Fit Indoor Car Covers
No mate, its an outdoor breathable waterproof cover, so no trapped water from sweating. Put it this way, where it is parked although sheltered, it has trees above and behind it, so its been getting tree sap and crap all over it, having to wash it off every other day to keep the grime at bay, but hopefully this cover will give it some protection, i will keep you updated with how it fairs after a few months :thumbup1:

Snug Fit Indoor Car Covers
It might be ugly -ish but if it protects your pride and joy who cares lol, that one cost £40 and it will keep my paint protected over the winter while its parked up out the way :thumbup1: The black one does look very nice though and for the money an absolute bargain.

Sidelight & Indicator Switchback Bulb.....Updated !!
I dont mean to rain on your parade mate as i admire the work you do and you are always meticulous, i wondered if the delay in the sidelight relighting would be an MOT issue or not

Sidelight & Indicator Switchback Bulb.....Updated !!
Can you not the get the side light back on instantly after the indicator stops flashing? It does look much better and clearer now, just thought the delay in the sidelight might be an issue.

still a non starter
I know what you mean lol, patience is a definite requirement as part of zed ownership, you may have twisted or snagged the O ring when replacing the injector, has been known before.
-
still a non starter
If you had a failed O ring you would have a smell of fuel in the engine bay and running rough, firstly check you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key, check the cas plug as this controls the injector firing, check all connectors are clean and seated well. Although you have changed the ptu, check for spark and using a multimeter check the ohmage on the injector terminals. It could be any number of reasons why it wont start, but need to do a process of elimination.

i know another speedo q?
You will need to take the speedo board out of the cluster and no doubt you will see some dry solder joints, especially around the R10 resistor area, reheat and run fresh solder, it is a known issue.

Winter has arrived in Scotland
Thats a shame mate, at least you are ok and the zed is easily repairable, i dont think you need to spend too much to get some safe tyres, i got Nexen on the front and never been happier, ive had Pirelli Pzero and Flaken 452 before them and to be honest i prefer the Nexen :thumbup1:

is the PTU refered to as a resistor pack?
As i said a short distance at slow speed will be fine, im sure if its only five minutes walk then you wont have an issue
-
is the PTU refered to as a resistor pack?
If you must tow it a distance, then the other option is to disconnect the prop at the axle and tie it up out the way, however i have never tried this, but remember that by removing the prop completely you will lose atf fluid out of the rear of the box, so option 2 would be to drain the gearbox oil, remove the prop and place a rubber glove or similar over the input shaft hole.

You shouldnt really tow an auto as it can damage the gearbox, a short distance will be fine for a long distance i would get it on the back of a recovery truck.
-
is the PTU refered to as a resistor pack?
The PTU does indeed contain a set of resistors and could be referred to as that, if you are getting no spark, then the PTU is the likely fault and if there was a known problem in the past with it, then replacing the PTU is a wise move, if not to eliminate that part of the system as the issue.

i know another speedo q?
You can change the mileage on your own odomater, but i cant tell you how to do that on open forum lol
-
i know another speedo q?
Depending on the series/age of your zed you can place a UK speedo complete and will read in MPH and remove the 112mph bong/ limit, Using a UK set of clocks is always a preferable mod to the convertor if your zed is pre 94 Replacing the odometer alone will make no difference as the resistor is on the speedo board itself.
