  1. Hi and welcome to the club, just enjoy it like you did at the Croft
  2. Probably a spark issue, check your coil pack connectors for corrosion on the pins, also the temp sensor on the water pipe in front of the cambelt cover and check the PTU connectors to the left of the temp sensor on the cam belt cover. If you are getting a management light on, it is likely a sensor or connector to a major component like the CAS as a duff coil pack or injector connector will not throw up a management light, it will run rough.
  3. :happybday: been away so missed this, all the best
  4. Many happy returns for yesterday mate, been working away for a couple of days and only just seen this
  5. Yes i bought a large quad copter with camera at the NEC car show for £90 and Lee got a smaller one, seen it demo'd and looked great so got one for my eldest, with the idea that im going to have a play too lol
  6. So thats what they look like new lol, very nice Lee and good to see you are still making progress
  7. As said there is a lot of upkeep to stay shiny, however if done properly and buffed regularly it should last you years. The labour involved is fairly intensive, thats where the cost will lie mostly, circa £150 for a polished plenum or do it yourself for next to nothing in comparison.
  8. Sorry i dont like it  keep the zed
  9. Happy birthday mate, have a great day
  10. I got two projects and less time than i had before, but hopefully in the new year i can make a good start again lol
  11. Happy Birthday Mark, have a great day
  12. Have you cleaned your projector lenses inside and out? You will find that a build up of grime and dust over the years will dramatically affect the beam quality and possibly the pattern more noticeable with HID as they are a more concentrated brighter white. Mine were pretty dirty and cleaning them made a huge difference to the light output, i do find on a wet miserable night most car headlights seem poorer than on a dry clear night.
  13. Idle when warm should be 15deg, when placed into gear you will see 25deg, as the revs are higher at cold start you will see a higher degree of timing as the engine is running quicker until warm, check your reading once up to temp.
  14. As said above the flashing light can be rectified by either disconnecting the auto box ecu, which is in the footwell next to the main ecu or you can remove the bulb in the dash to stop it annoying you. The conversion normally requires you to connect the neutral switch wire to a pin on the main ecu to change the timing to 15 deg at idle, this is most likely the reason for the high idle, also you will need to make sure the TPS is set correctly 0.44v closed throttle. All this info is in the tech faq section under Transmission/auto to manual conversion/wiring The vac hose blocked on your balance bar would have come about from a delete, aiv etc and as long as its not leaking air, its fine.
  15. That does look really clean for the money :thumbup1:
  16. Welcome to the club, nice looking zed,:thumbup1: but as Si is away i have to say.... get rid of the ironing board
  17. Welcome to the club Tom, nice pics and great first drive out :thumbup1:
  18. That was you lol i thought someone had literally shit on my doorstep :lol: I prefer the ferry too, also cheaper than the tunnel and closer :thumbup1:
  19. Happy Birthday Dave, hope you have a great day, all the best
  20. Wow that is just crazy how busy the skies above the UK are :scared:
  21. Look so much better Lee, i had those in the first picture once, but not for long lol
  22. Same here mate, tried to get her ready for Coventry and it was rushed, got a few niggles to sort out and of course the engine rebuild, so similar position to me lol. As far as polishing the plenum, mine needs doing again as it has been neglected  but what i will say after the NEC car show, i have discovered that most of us ( me ) have been doing it all wrong, so i have bought a new system for polishing that will need very little maintenance and will shine for years to come. A clue: you have to think of the chemical composition of Ali and the timing of the polish after sanding and the natural oxidisation to cure :thumbup1:
  23. I have just washed and dried the car, the grime and tree shite has affected the paint on the bonnet  but to be fair i will be doing a colour sand and mop before its back on the road so no big deal really. So the car cover is now fitted and strapped down, so will check it in a month or so and see how its coping
