  1. Check the sensor on the steering rack, may be a cruddy pin on the sensor plug, is the steering bled properly, turn the wheel far right then far left with the cap off the reservoir to see if the level changes.
  2. I think the point of the whole argument is regarding, the chavs in their pugs or civics revving the arse off to try and sound big, and are annoying, i also have a neighbour with a 100cc bike and he revs the tits off it every time he starts it up, why ffs, it is annoying. But having a true sports car that sounds the *****x isnt the issue, so i wouldnt worry at all about it
  3. Happy Birthday Jason, have a great day

  6. Happy xmas Mark and all the best for the new year
  7. Happy Birthday Kim, hope you are well
  8. I do miss the primer look  but love the new yellow and already have a Black TT so the new one will either go back to silver or stripped:scared:
  9. All well and good Gary but i would quite like to finish at least one of them :thumbup:
  10.:lol: It wouldnt stay that colour if i keep it lol
  11. I seem to be getting a collection of zeds together after agreeing to buy another one, which im picking up at the beginning of Jan. As you may know my yellow NA is in process of having the engine rebuilt, although i have come to a stand still at the moment with the weather and work, but have been offered a low mileage NA auto cheap, has 18" alloys, painted matt black but was originally silver and has MOT till next October, pics to follow when he sends them over to me in the next week. I spoke to this guy at the NEC classic car show, he basically bought it to show off to his mate ( dont know why) but now the job is done he no longer needs it and i told him at the show to give me a ring if he comes to sell it as i might be interested. I still have a few weeks to decide if i really want/need it in my life, but chances are i will get it lol. I would have to decide if im going to have the engine out of it, i would then strip it and sell for parts, or i do it up to sell on as realistically i dont need three zeds and certainly not two NA's:scared: but i hate to see these being broken, so will have to have a serious think lol
  12. The turning of the cams i presume were done with the bottom sprocket at TDC, otherwise you would get interference from one or more of the valves opening against the top of the piston. Either way i would strip the heads off and know for sure :thumbup1:
  13. You can pretty much guarantee some bent valves in an interference engine, the extent and how many is another issue, but the heads would need to come off and each valve taken out to be sure. Also if its that bad then you might be looking at damaged cam lobes as a more obvious visual before taking heads off
  14. The body of the bulb touching the headlamp holder is the earth, but you will need to make a short wire tail from the body to the holder plate to earth it.
  15. How do they know the valves are bent without taking them out?
  16. VVT timing cuts in about 3500rpm some as high as 5k revs, but does depend if the ecu is chipped and the vvt time on/off has been changed. The vvt is off at idle and below that figure, so you may get a spring rattle at the front top of the intake cam. The springs are quite cheap and available from Mike at MJP a trader here and there is a write up in the tech section iirc to change them. Other issue maybe oil starvation to that head, when was the oil changed? should be every 3k miles as the VG engine has a small oil capacity compared to alot of cars and the oil can clog up causing blockages in the oil ways/lifters and cause cam wear. Try and get a video up of the noise, i know it can be difficult to pinpoint, but its a start.
  17. Does the rattle disappear after increasing the revs?
  18. :happybday: All the best mate :happybday:
  19. Yep the very same and is weathering well so far :thumbup1:
  20. The belt looks fine mate, but while you have it all apart for peace of mind i would replace it with a new belt.
  21. Happy birthday Steve, have a great day
  22. I bought a breathable outdoor car cover from the NEC car show, i made sure the car was washed, dried and polished before covering, a month later absolutely fine and main reason was to stop the leaves and tree sap from surrounding trees. I would imagine an outdoor car cover is good for a winter, but not a permanent fix over several years.
  23. Happy Birthday Chris, hope you have a great day
