  1. Definitely an old scam, not even a good one really lol
  2. Are they the 5way leds. Ive had some dodgy ones, where one flashes then dies, i used these for the big dials in the end, much better coverage http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2X-BLUE-Waterproof-Flexible-Car-24-LED-Strip-Bulb-Light_W0QQitemZ130361200093QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item1e5a220ddd If you want them quicker http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-X-24CM-LED-Flexible-Waterproof-Strip-Light-Blue-UK_W0QQitemZ250525258807QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3a54781437
  3. Nice one Murt, you just need to get your pods done and get rid of the deadspots in the speedo and rev dial and your away
  4. They certainly are:scared: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250548214539
  5. Or thinking further outside the box, the disco lighting world, there are plenty of manufacturers out there already make boards populated with leds, as floods. Although these particular light leds, are too big for what we are after, there are boards with 3mm or 5mm leds or can be adapted. I have a couple of these i use in my band, so i can take one apart and see what is feasable. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEDJ-Stratos-RGB-LED-Colour-Wash-Flood-Light_W0QQitemZ140376007865QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConElec_LightingLEDsStrobes_RL?hash=item20af0fe4b9
  6. Just like xmas come again Martin, i bet you are well chuffed. Now you just got to put it all together  Cant wait to see it finished, its going to be one of the best Graham
  7. Surprisingly for the boot, the catch is the switch:tongue_smilie:
  8. If it goes open circuit the light goes on, there is a constant feed, but its negative switched if that makes sense, so if its not grounded the light will stay on. Check if the boot light is on, as it doesnt come on with the main doors open, only comes on when the hatch is open. But the interior light also comes on when the boot is open
  9. Check your boot lock mechanism, sometimes a bit loose, will leave an open circuit, the catch has voltage to it, when you open your hatch, the interior light comes on. If its loose it will stay on regardless of what you have just done. HTH
  10. Hi Matt, welcome back, it looks far to good to break, whats wrong with it Graham

  14. The old NA discs 89-90 iirc were 26mm and TT 30mm, same diameter but different thickness, TT (all years): 280mm x 30mm NA (1989-1990) 280mm x 26mm (different discs & calipers than TT's) NA (1991-1996) 280mm x 30mm (same discs & calipers as TT's)
  15. Uno is your man on that topic
  16. Hi Phil, welcome to the club, Gaz will get you sorted, get some pics up Cheers Graham
  17. This is absolutely disgusting behaviour, reminds me of the Jamie Bulger case. My girlfriend has a ten year old and although he is generally good, im the one who has to enforce some discipline as she is too soft, there in lies the problem with alot of kids today, the parents, school etc, dont enforce any punishment, let them get away with so much, that i wouldnt have dared do at that age. My old man was a prison officer and if we did wrong we got the belt and after a few of them we didnt do it again. Im not condoning hitting kids, but there has to be a certain deterrent put in place or they just dont give a damn. I tell mine, the reason i buy you stuff, is so i can take it away as punishment, makes him think lol
  18. The temp guage is normally one of the most reliable ones out of problem guages. I would check the temp sender in the feed pipe for corrosion on the connector plug, there are 2 senders in the same pipe, 1 for the ecu ( yellow cap) and 1 for the temp guage.( black) If they are clean then, you might have a duff gauge. I have a spare i can send you if it is the gauge, but more likely to be the temp sensor. HTH Graham
  19. you are better off buying a new one, the boot strip tends to crack when removing, so unlikely to get one secondhand with no cracks
  20. The ptu sends the spark to the plugs, might be part of the ptu loom, also check the connectors on the ptu, its at the front of the engine just below the intake pipe, if its a series 1 ptu it will have fins on it. HTH Graham
