  1. I think the resistor at the R10 position on the board needs to be changed to 20k or 22k, but im still searching to find the right thread. Bottom of the page http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=36601
  2. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=254# Chewie had a better interior when he had it, 99 spec rear lights gone
  3. Cool, i got the 4 smd white led 501 for the side lights this morning and a very bright, so they should do the job for the fogs no problem
  4. Just to add, for those thinking of buying HID, get the 55w ones. I put on some 35w and they are worse than the extra bright xenon bulbs i had. They look nice and have a nice white look to the road, but not bright enough.
  5. Hi Ike The EL dials have the MPH on the outside of the dial with KPH on the inner circle of the dial. If you were to remove the convertor for the clock to read in KPH the MPH reading of the clock face would be out and still not read the correct mph reading. Check the wiring on the back of the speedo for the convertor again Ike, make sure the screws that the the wires are attached too are tight and make sure the connection to the speed pulse is solid. It could be the convertor thats not working as it should, in which case bin it and get a one from the zcentre. The one you have was from ebay, several years ago, the zcentre ones are more pricey but claim to be spot on ( better quality) You can wire it up the same way as the old one. Second option a bit more involved and maybe not your cup of tea, but there is a resistor on the back of the speedo circuit board that can be changed to 100hm IIRC, this changes the pulse the ecu receives to read mph, but the speedo may still need calibrating by adjusting the pot on the board of the speedo. More info available on this if required. Third option and im not sure if this has been tried before, but here goes: get UK clocks and have the older series connectors spliced into you existing connector loom. The only problem with this is getting the right wires in the correct place to match the facilities of the board. Obviously you wouldnt have the airbag light, there are some differences to the older/newer series models. I can study the differences, but at the end of the day it depends on the wiring diagram compatibility. HTH Graham
  6. I think the insurance group and running costs put people off, so the demand for such a car in this economic climate, is limited. You need to be a car enthusiast or petrol head to even consider a zed. Labour of love for me, i will always have a zed in my life. So im not too fussed about worth at the end of the day, it will never be worth what you spend on it anyway, so why give someone else the benefit.
  7. Happy Birthday Steve, hope you have a nice day Graham
  8. Dave dont forget to measure the round light in the headlight for me, outer circumference. Cheers Graham
  9. Nice to hear from you again Steve, i know what your saying about the zed, one day you might get another, although it will take alot to beat your old one. Hope your keeping well, see you at JAE hopefully Graham

  13. I totally agree, i mde a kit and found no difference, apart from more spagetti
  14. I play in a band in many different types of venues, mostly hotels/marquees etc, and ive never had any dealings with PRS in over 20 odd years of performing. I think its the venue that pays PRS an annual fee, god knows how its distributed, how would they know what songs are played to be able to make that decision. I think its all a money making scam and that it doesnt go to the artistes, but into a pool for the Organisers and workers of PRS. I agree with the PRS in principle but there are too many flaws in the arrangement. Just my opinion

  23. Hi Howard, best to get the old fluid out of the pot first using a large pipette or turkey baster type tool, take of the pipes and drain all the fluid, best to top up with fresh fluid anyway. Once topped up start the engine, turn the steering from left to right a few times to bleed the air out and top up as necessary. If you have no baster, get a jar under one of the pipes, undo the clamp and and drain the pot into the jar, there isnt alot of fluid so wont be too bad. Take the cap off the pot before you do it. HTH Graham
