  1. Mines a series 1 lol, so although there is a hole there, no thread. I read somewhere that that part of the B pillar is only a few mill thick. I will have another look tomorrow to be sure and if its a goer i will be getting it welded professionally, not going to jeopardise safety.
  2. I have some UK door cards and getting some UK seat belts, i have a jap with the belts on the door. This subject has come about a few times, but i know a few have done it. I realise the holes are there but with no thread, so the top hole, which is the trickiest as there is no room behind the pillar, is the bone of contention. Is it best to weld a plate with the captive nut or is there not enough metal for strength? Anyone got any pics of their UK B pillar to have a look. Cheers Graham
  3. Registration, doesnt necessarily denote the year of manufacture. Take a look at the label on the bottom of your seatbelt, under the carpet in the boot and on the plastic rear light covers, there is a date in the moulding, which is closer to the date of manufacture, although the parts might have been made within a few weeks/months of fitting.
  4. Pre 95' "if you're lucky enough to own a 1 Aug 1995 on Zed then a default Cat test will apply, which you will prob fail if you De-Cat!"
  5. No lol, import and pre 92' UK, are tested as a pre cat. And as explained in the link Paul has placed up, the Z32 is not on the emissions database. Note to self..must learn to type faster lol
  6. It will pass the mot anyway if its an import as its not on the mot database and has to be tested as pre cat.
  7. lol i meant the difference is between the auto and manual splines.
  8. Thats good to know, now plug it in and notice the difference. You dont get ambient temp anymore, but having control over the direction more than makes up for it lol and 4 fan speeds
  9. This might help http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=52161&stc=1&d=1264016765 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=52162&stc=1&d=1264016765 Now i know the pics are a comparison auto TT and Manual N/A, the lengths will be the same, but the spline into the gearbox differs between TT and N/A
  10. Yep as above
  11. Yep i agree, it needs a respray, thats only because i bought some fibreglass bits off some bloke on this forum to stick on and it hasnt been sprayed yet cos i is broke :lol: so spot on :clown:
  12. Raise the front end of the car slightly, it will help with bleeding the radiator. Have the climate on full heat to open the valve on the heater matrix, run the engine until at running temp, undo the bleed screw on the top of the rad, i found it easier at first to take out the screw and top up with extra water from a jug, until the water gets to the top of the bleed screw hole, you will see the bubbles. Squeeze the water pipes gently to aggitate the water flow. You might need to do this a few times to get the air out. Dont fill the coolant reservoir as it states in the ehow link, thats not what its for lol
  13. The air intake valve introduces cooler air to stop the cats overheating. You can get to the aiv's as descibed in the link, by removing inner plastic wheel arch covers, unbolt and empty out the water. If you de cat, then the AIV's are redundant. In later models the AIV's were discontinued.
  14. Nothing detremental at all and assuming you no longer have the cats: http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.528
  15. Looking the dogs danglies mate, very nice. The pipe on the rear of the balance bar to the iav, without looking at mine, does it not reduce at one end to the balance bar, that might be a part of the leak.
  16. Direct replacement i believe. Do a search for chrome door handles, a few threads there with info
  17. Both interior lights, map and centre light was out. I would re check your fuse again. If it defintely isnt the fuse, you will need to take the whole kick panel off around the fuse box and locate the TCU The TCU( time control unit) is situated at the bottom near the door of the kick panel, which controls a multitude of things including interior light. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=el&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=76&design=default&total=133 EL75 is the page you want, cant seem to get it to link to that page for some reason You may have a track burnt or corroded, which is causing the problem. You could try and solder it yourself or get a secondhand one from JeffTT or post an add up in the wanted section, there are a few members with breakers at the minute. Or test the room lamp relay, behind the rear passenger kick panel
  18. You can get dash kits, which are stick on, for surrounds and vents, centre console and you can get chrome door handles, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=50908&d=1255290077 http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae174/pervez_musharaff/300ZX/IMG_0647.jpg the ones from a Nissan Terrano irrc
  19. Not necessarily the answer you need, but info here on the injector wiring at the ecu end http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.332 diagram http://300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=118&design=default&total=190 http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.401
  20. I think you have to fabricate the frames to fit, madmax did the same thing. I would say check his rides, there is a link to his website project300tt, but its been hacked at the minute, ive let him know but no reply as yet.
  21. In answer to your next question http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/fuse-translation.jpg 10amp fuse, 3rd row, 1st fuse nearest the bulkhead
  22. Its the fuse for the interior light, you will find the door solenoid is on the same circuit for the alarm. Mine did exactly the same thing recently, thought i would have to have the door card off to investigate, then realised my interior light was also out. Changed the fuse and hey presto, all working again.
  23. I certainly am, look forward to seeing you there if you are going. Graham
