  1. Happy Birthday mate, all the best
  2. Happy Birthday mate, all the best
  3. Likely some water/condensation on the filament on the maf attracted to the dust or grime on the filament. Give it a clean, air duster or squirt of contact cleaner and let it dry. A faulty MAF does indeed limit the revs to 2500k, but try cleaning it first as it sounds like when its warm it resolves itself.
  4. great news, glad you got it sorted
  5. To get you out the poo, buy a H3 and with a bit of wire create a an earth to the light housing, you can use the screw that holds the spring in the lamp holder.
  6. Welcome to the club Mike, be nice to see some pics of your new toy :thumbup1:
  7. This may shed some light Rich assuming its a limited company of course The company is a separate legal person from its shareholders and the directors. The company incurs debts in the course of its business and only the company is liable for those. In a company limited by shares, the shareholders' obligation is to pay the company for the shares they have taken in it. https://www.gov.uk/business-legal-structures/limited-company
  8. Great to see one of our own in the mags and with a brill write up and pics all go to help promote the Z and what can be done to a fine piece of engineering  Well done to Daz for creating Dan's vision and hope many more to come out of Dasstech in the future
  9. Truly shocking, this government are concentrating too much on immigration and whether to leave the EU instead of important issues on our own door stop
  10. Yes nearly finished the inside, still have to felt the roof, but weather being crap over the past few months the tarp is doing its job at the minute. Got the whole inside boarded and painted white and sealed all joints with sealant, worktop in, electric, a shelf over the worktop with led strip. Two 5ft tubes in both ends of the workshop, an oil filled radiator and interlocking rubber flooring (like a jigsaw puzzle) from Halfords gives it a nice cosy feel under foot. A little stereo system, loads of twin sockets, one with usb charger points in. RCD garage unit for protection and wired into the house to the cooker feed, so have about 30amp supply also protected. I just have a few bits to finish off before i get everything in that i want and start using it properly. Will take a few more pics over the weekend to update
  11. Hi and welcome to the club. Sounds like you have your work cut out, but well done for saving another zed  Plenty of info and advice available here, just post up and ask or take a look in the tech faq section if you arent sure. :thumbup1:
  12. Have used several couriers in the past, some with reasonable efficiency and some who are diabolical to say the least, so here is my experience of one i hadnt tried before. I used a company the other day to collect a parcel for me and deliver to my home and have to say one of the most efficient i have used so far. Parcelhero was the company, utilizing UPS as the shipper on this occasion, i got through to customer service straight away when i called about an issue in the tracking and not only did they call back, the driver re-delivered within a couple of hours of the initial attempt. I dont know how they would fare with some larger car parts, but for a hand luggage size package, top notch.
  13. A company in Poland called Maxtor do these, ive seen one in the flesh on a white zed, looked ok but doesnt really suit the lines and fitting not great
  14. Great fun, have a great time
  15. Happy Birthday mate, have a great day
  16. I play music for a living, and can funk it up with the best of em, but when it comes to dancing i feel like a concrete block lol Yes pissed i can stumble about a bit, if you can call that dancing
  17. Happy Birthday Jim, have a great day
  18. Sounds like you need an oil change and clean the strainer, as the oil drops back down to the pan, so does all the crap, then it seems you can drive it for a while till it clogs up again.
  19. the pcd is the same, the bore is slightly bigger at 67.1, so you will need some spigot rings, not sure of the offset, Funky or Joely can clarify that lol
  20. Another legend has left us, i love Earth Wind and Fire, he had parkinsons and been ill for some years, still sad to hear :scared:
  21. Its not that hard lol, but easier once youve done a few i guess, when i started doing pods and dashes i was always experimenting with the best leds to use and positions and effects etc,,, mine looked like the starship enterprise inside lol, but soon learnt that subtlety was key for the best effect. Its really easy to go over the top, and fun at first, but after alot of night driving you soon realise that its more a distraction than an upgrade. Its always good to have a go yourself, plus you learn more about your car and have the satisfaction of doing it yourself. I offered to do a few in the early days to help those who couldnt or wouldnt lol and went from there, recently done a few and can go many months with none to do, for me its therapeutic and i enjoy it, but its a hobby, one of many lol If you ever want any advice or a how to on any of the dash or pod stuff, PM anytime, but most importantly enjoy
  22. I use non waterproof, as the rubber coating adds too much depth for the dials when fitted around the very top edge of the binnacle, here is an example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5M-10M-15M-3528-5050-RGB-White-SMD-Light-LED-Strip-12V-LED-Strip-24-44Key-IR-/141337949868?var=&hash=item20e865f6ac:m:mvQPp3Z91ljQl0j2U88ywcg Ive also used the smaller smd led strips 0603, remember the most important thing is to get a good even coverage with no visible light source, ie nicely blended throughout the view of the dials. Its surprising exactly how bright leds can be face on, so i mount them around the binnacle facing in across the under neath of the dial faces. Even then you may want to dim the dash slightly at night :thumbup1: You can take power from the two bottom prongs/bolts on the soon to be unused feed for the front facing bulbs, which will kill the effect, so just remove them. As you look at the dash, the left bolt/prong is the positive. You will see what i mean when you take it apart  NB they are self adhesive, but i also use hot glue around certain bends of the dash, so they never accidently come away and end up where they shouldnt
  23. I did a how to in the tech section to show where to wire in strip, it's easier to take all the dials out of the binnacle to fit the strip, also check the fit of each dial for interference before fixing in permanently
