  1. I feel the decision by the public, is more importantly about being governed and ruled by Brussels and losing our rights in our own country. There was always going to be an interim period of panic and gloom and doom about the unknown but lets face it most of us have not felt any recovery from the crash and as the situation continued it was only going to get worse for the majority of the public. If other EU countries are considering to follow our lead at this time, then we are not the only ones who feel the same about the bureaucracy and the situation needed a change. It will be for the best in the long run for the masses rather than the select rich, just my opinion of course
  2. I dont see the speed limit being raised anytime soon, this subject came up on a speed awareness course i attended in February and i found myself agreeing with the current limit in principal. 70mph gives you 10% +2 allowing 79mph, most people do over this speed on the motorway and you are likely to get away with 85mph under certain road conditions and Police discretion, you raise that limit to 80mph then you are given 90mph allowance which will inevitably be broken up to the ton mark.
  3. Thread now run its course and a new informative one created, so thread now closed :thumbup1:
  4. Ah silverbullet, then i have the wrong person Vern, so ignore my last comment lol
  5. No its not true, take it elsewhere, many of us have HIDS and never have a problem
  6. Very nice engine bay
  7. The name rings a bell and im sure there were some posts regarding him recently over some parts not received IIRC
  8. [h=3]Go to sent items and at the bottom of the page, change the date filter, ive just tried with mine and can go back :thumbup1: Display Options[/h] Sender: Title: Read & replied status: Date Filter From: Month: Day: Year: To: Month: Day: Year:
  9. I got mine from Halfrauds when i did mine years ago, a longer length helped with creating a smooth bend as the Halfords pipe isnt as reinforced and therefore a shorter length would kink.
  10. Happy Birthday mate, hope it was a good one
  11. Happy Birthday Tony, all the best
  12. I bet your knackered Lee, hopefully you can get back to some normality soon :thumbup1:
  13. Happy Birthday Dave, hope you had a great day
  14. It would help you to have another pair of hands to guide the rear of the gearbox away from the firewall as you lower the engine hoist, do it gradually, the angle will not be as acute as / but it needs to be at an angle, but less acute than / I would remove the rad and front bumper also or you will struggle to get the engine hoist in close enough and not damage the bumper
  15. You can do it on axle stands and you will need to undo the steering shaft from the rack (1bolt) and lower the subframe (4 bolts) a couple of inches to allow for the angle of the dangle, i found it easier putting the engine and box in together rather than lying on my back wrestling with the gearbox :biggrin:
  16. Worth a punt at that price, be good to know what the quality is like :thumbup1:
  17. Happy Birthday Ian, all the best

  20. Our Lab is 11 and is arthritic and wet herself a couple of times, so know how you must be feeling. Not looking forward to that day at all, my other half has had her since a pup and will be truly devastated when its time. RIP Cassie
  21. Living with Parkinsons for the last 30 years must have been his greatest challenge  RIP another legend
  22. There is nothing to fear on our motorways Gary, there is so much traffic you cant get above 50 in places, for eg: i was on the M25 last saturday and it was a 40 limit from the A3 round to the M1 and sometimes we even moved and got to 40mph
  23. If the case wont come apart easily try pulling the mirror glass off, they are held on by lugs, then you can get some access to the inside screws to take apart
  24. Yes i do :thumbup1: will try and find some pics i have though, cos explaining it is a whole pain in the ass although i will do the best i can lol Unfortunately i cant take the image alone from the PDF file below, so if you open the file and view the hazard switch pic, it should give the you the idea JEDI-LED.pdf You will see the copper runner should be facing prongs down, and the little wire clip, you will find a hole the the small end goes into and will be facing up as in the pic. The block then sits on the switch as is so the prongs are seated on the copper pads. The little wire clip is what gives the click as it is engaged, the spring inside the other part of the housing obviously creates the force against the body of the witch to retract. I find that when putting the front half of the switch back together, slightly depress the switch so you can feel it lock in when the lugs of the housing are back together. Hoe this helps If you get stuck post it to me and i will sort it for you free
