My cars's in being serviced. They suggested fitting an Apexi filter instead of the standard pannel ones. Is Apexi the best make to go for? Will it make much difference? Thanks gents!

Edgey - 300ZX are either twin turbo (TT) or no turbos (NA or normally aspirated). Which is yours?

Edgeyboy... I had a 200SX S13 for six years and it was quick. I now have a NA 300ZX and I would say it's faster in top gear than my 200SX was. My 300ZX pulls quickly up to 130mph where it hits a limiter. My 200SX would get to over 140mph but not to 150mph and my 300 definatly feels quicker. My 300 is an auto so only has 4 gears - maybe my top gear is lower than yours? I don't know.

I had a 200sx S13 for six years before getting my 300ZX (NA, auto). Both are equally tail happy - it's fine if you're aware of it. They're both similar in terms of performance - maybe the S13 was quicker off the line and the 300 is faster at higher speeds. I was wary of driving an auto but it's fine. Some people who've had a TT go on to get an NA as it's a better power delivery for everyday use and a more reliable car.

I'd love a DC5. I think it's kill a 300ZX anywhere except a drag strip and do 35-40mpg on a long run. Rear wheel drive really only wins arguments in pubs.
