  1. Thanks for the heads up. Where should they exit on a standard car? Cheers!
  2. Like it says.... how can I stop MSN Messenger opening and signing in when I start up my computer? Cheers gents!
  3. Do they do a four exit version?
  4. Happy birthday mate - enjoy the day.
  5. I assume the underdrive pulley is not only lighter than the original but drives the alternator / fan at a lower speed as it's smaller so puts less load on the engine. That would be why it can have a more dramatic effect than lightening the flywheel by the same amount. Just a guess...!
  6. Well... they none of them even know I exist yet but I'm going to approach the ones with Japanese cars only (not general modified cars or 'babes'!) None of them might be interested though - you never know. Your motor would make a great feature car I'd think though.
  7. I was about to ask that too! How much for the part? How much for fitting? (I'm just after general answers not asking anyone specific what they paid!)
  8. Cool - sounds like a good mod. I'm guessing it drives something at a lower rate than standard - what is it? Can it ever cause a problem?
  9. There was a supra with 'Yes, I do have a small penis' which was pretty funny. Used to have 'You'll never take me alive copper' on me FZR1000 Genesis but that was ALONG time ago!
  10. Baggins got a 350 then? They look nice - fancy one myself in a few years. Edit - Jason your blue 'beast' looks spot-on!
  11. I'm going to have a go at writing some articles for the bigger japanese car mags. What sort of articles would you like to see? 'Feature cars' - showing a highly modified car Buyers guides - all about one model of car with buying information 'Doing' features - how to do your first track day or drag day 'de-mystifying' features - know everything about a subject eg alloy wheels, brakes, exhausts, turbos etc 'how tos' - driving techniques (eg left foot braking, drifting, cornering lines, wet weather driving etc) 'How tos' - technical (eg fitting HID lights, tips from pro valets etc) Road tests - comparative testing of (used) Japanese cars Obviously we'd all like to see more 300ZXs so that goes without saying. But what would you like to see / read more of? It could be stuff listed above or anything you can think of. Is there any article that would make you buy a magazine just for that? Cheers folks!
  12. Any 'warranty' with a used car in IN ADDITION to your consumer rights. The car was sold as running and roadworthy and should have remained like that for a reasonable amount of time. You should be entitled to your money back or even money towards the cost of putting it right. A small claims court can be one way to do this - I think you can only claim £3000 so it might not be enough but you can download all the forms from the net and do it yourself with a one off fee of about £60 (IIRC!). I'd call a solicitor and see what they say - they'll only take it on if they think you have a case and will win. CAB are worth a call too. It probably all seems a lot pof ahssle when all you want is a nice car - but it could save you thousands of pounds and that's well worth doing (unles you're LOADED lol).
  13. Yes, you've got to take on the trader, in the civil courts if necessary. I'm pretty sure the law will be on your side - the car was not 'fit for purpose'. He may have blustered but he's in the wrong. Sorry to hear your story too - gutting! Hope you get it worked out whatever you decide to do.
  14. An R1 won't hit 60 in two seconds. A fraction under three yes, but no way in two.

That IS a good colour match! Lol!
  16. Falkens clearly emerging as the gentleman's choice. Along with a Q plate and TPO insurance!  :duffer: edit - and I'll try mytryes.net too!
  17. Cool! No offence meant! On the beers myself too now! :duffer:
  18. lol, not having a go at you there mate at all. To be honest I was reasonably certain Nissan did know best but someone (Legrath) has explained why going larger than a 225 would be good but also showed why Nissan didn't do it.
  19. I've had falkens in the past and found them fine too. I'm about to get two 17-255/40 rears and will probably go for Falkens again. If I was doing track days I might go for those Yokohamas they have on special offer.
  20. http://www.blackcircles.co.uk I've used them in the past and will do again. We might get a club discount but it might be marketing rhetoric.
  21. A good point. You'd have to get all the clothes though to try it out.
  22. No. But when I was about 20 I had pointed shoes. That was a long time ago though! A couple of weeks ago, I was out with a mate in Cardif and he knew a load of goths/bikers and I was impressed by their friendlyness and saucy women.
  23. Here's a thought.. would it be good to be a goth? On the plus side you'd have no problems getting a new group of mates if you moved to another town / city as you'd be straight in with the goths there. Plus the goth/alternative women wear PVC / rubber outifts that look prety fine. But 90% of people would think you were a bit wierd and you might not get promoted at work. What do you think?
  24. 225 must be wide enough to give sufficient grip - all Japanese imports have them as standard and surely Nissan know more about the car than some bloke on a website with a funny name.
