  1. clucking bell It's nice but not $28,000 reserve not met nice
  2. High quality DoT 4 fluid (racing boiling point, but not DoT 5) is well worth having too. Changed every two years. Fade is not fun but I've never had it on my 300.
  3. Quite a bit there. Start with essential stuff and save tuning etc for later.
  4. We argue alot about it but probably the most desirable car would be a SWB, metal top (slick top), twin turbo, manual. (1999 onwards if you could get it, which you probably can't). Or even the 2000 Version R. Whatever you do, whatever spec you go for, get a good one. You're in a good position to make that happen.
  5. Turning the router off and on can help - but I guess you'd have tried that. I'm no expert.
  6. Hope it all goes well mate.
  7. Maybe they've agreed to 'come to an arrangement'
  8. Mine are excellent. I think there's lots out there with sized calipers, knackered lines, shagged pads and fooked discs.
  9. Is the A1 convoy still happening?
  10. That is a desirable spec and late registered with low miles. THey're so hard to price though - whatever someone will pay for it I guess. If a close inspection suggests the mileage is genuine, I guess you'd be looking at £7500-£8500 maybe? That's a figure plucked from the air. An import company told me thay could get a 1999 or 2000 TT LWB manual targa for about £11K so it's going to be a fair bit less than that. Hard to say for sure.
  11. Coming in a month for Thames Water area. I'm sure other areas will get it too. Not good for washing the car, especially if you use the Flash Car Wash System. If we get tha ban here, I might go to my old works industrial unit which has an outside tap and do it there as it's getting dark.
  12. Bell Direct - I'm into my third year with them. Fairly incompetent but cheap. 0800 140 180.
  13. The look nice and go well I imagine. Don't new TVRs not have a warranty? I would imagine it wouldn't be the most practical car.
  14. We should start a thread where people put the address of good garages who are competent on Zeds.
  15. The Zen Garage have a workshop in Lincs, not a million miles from Skegness. I've taken my car there and will again.
  16. 100,000 kms is about 60,000 miles so chances are it would need the big (cambelt) service. It's £390 at the Zen Garage and you could pay a lot more elsewhere. Brakes don't sound clever. I'd be fairly certain T_cut will shift the discolouration but it's hard to be sure.
  17. I asked a Japanese person what computer keyboard they use. They said they use an English one like us - they type words in english which the computer changes into Japanes characters. They all seemed to speak pretty good English so I guess they're ok with car controls / warning lights etc. It does seem odd they don't mark everything up in Japanese though.
  18. heathZed - maybe yours was a duff one? Sorry you didn't enjoy the Zed experience
  19. I thought about it but I think you'd have to do 10,000 - 20,000 miles to get your money back (can't remember exact figure).
  20. I've thought about it. A year or two ago the government would have givena grant to pay for most of the cost of converting. You loose 10% power or so. More worryingh is talk of it damaging valve seats (or something like that). I think several Soarers and a TT MK IV Supra are running on it ok and on a toyota / lexus forum.
  21. 5-10%, probably, £4500 IMO anyway
