Not smiling here but I could sort that out....
  2. Bypassing the steering / ignition lock will make a mess of the plastic surround and the alloy lock. She'd be better of joining the AA at the roadside (with the £90 extra charge!) than trying to smash the igition lock. edit - re-read post - key in door lock - hmmmm - I'd be trying to join the AA - has she got a mate nearby who is a member and can say they're a passenger in the car - it's the person, not the car that's covered.

"You've got the car but have you got the touch?" Seriously like to bone her mind you.
  4. I had several battery chargers over the years but use one of these now http://www.rotosport.co.uk/columbi/ It's superb - it's very good at removing build ups of sulphur from the plates and making an otherwise dead battery work again. It's a very 'kind' charger and ensures batterys last longer. It uses the same technology as laptop chargers. It's also shockproof and almost completely waterproof. £55 though!
  5. A mate was / is selling his one owner 2002 16,000 minter for £7500 if you're interested. It's yellow and in the Manchester area. Not cheap but it's a 2002 car and these things hold their value very well.
  6. Snetterton doesn't have many corners so a straight line car would be good. Might come and spectate but probably be working that day.
  7. I'd go with Carol Nash. Whenever I try and claim on any insurance policy they always say my grandmother has the wrong window locks and refuse to pay out. Or some excuse. I don't know if there is a book value - someone on here could probably do a valuation I guess.
  8. STREUTH! THE Craig. All you johnny-come-lately whores check out this bloke's post count.
  9. Scoops supplied the fluffy cuffs. lol.
  10. I'm tempted but I better say 'no thanks' as the Nurburgring and footie ain't for me (although I'm sure they're both great).
  11. Very good links there - thanks! It looks a bit tricky for me though - I'll let the condensation dry in mine and shove some sachets of silica get in the back.
  12. Sounds good. That's quite a lot of heavy stereo for a track car though!
  13. Glad you got it sorted - it's good when it's the simple (read cheap) things!
  14. That is one nice looking car. Not sure about the graphics but the rest is sweet! You must be chuffed to bits.
  15. Has anyone done it? How easy is it? Is there any 'heating in the oven' like the rear units or are they designed to come apart and go back together? Cheers gents
  16. Not big on football and fear the Nurburgring. But if anyone's taking in Amserdam I could be tempted to join in then - can make me own travell arrangements.
  17. This isn't true I was showing off
  18. Click on 'User CP' at the left towards the top. It's in there somewhere.
  19. My dad had a nice but non-running Lotus Carlton sitting in his yard for a few months and some Pikeys came and offered him £50 to take it away - he agreed!!! I don't think he realised what it really was and what it was worth!
  20. The Z Centre (trader on this site) does genuine Nissan ones for £30 each.
  21. I studied psychology and zoology but got a job I wanted in a totaly unrelated area (much nearer to motorsport!). If you want it, you'll make it happen. It took me a few years and some hard work to get there.
  22. Jesus wept, that's a bit quick. Bet it doesn't do many mpg round town though.
  23. The M3 and Integrale were nice, well looked after examples and still 25% odd down on power. If everything's fine, then a car shouldn't be down so much but there's a much greater chance that something somewhere is wrong and that takes the edge of the power.
