  1. looks like from £45 to £120 depending on number of days and which ones. not a keen camper, so could end up expensive.
  2. Anyone interested in going to this? Just got a reminder that club applications have to be in by end of July, so if we want to attend, then need some feedback. It will be really good to attend this NEXT year, for the 30th Anniversary, along with ZClub and others (350/370?), but might be a good idea to show our faces this year if possible? https://www.silverstoneclassic.com/ If any interest, i will register so we can get a club stand code for you to book tickets on.
  3. liked the battery terminal solution  shame about the micra relays, i had visions of zed owners all visiting their local breakers to raid the micra electrics
  4. not good after all your hard work, and i know that sinking feeling when you hear an unexpected rattle, having just experienced similar. at least you have hopefully caught a problem early to prevent further damage or catastrophe.
  5. I found this and a couple of others a few months ago when i was having very similar problems to Joel. In the end, i changed disks and pads. On my old disks, you could see what looked like a difference in the material of the disk. With so many components being built on price, it got me wondering whether the suppliers are using or diluting with bad quality material, which doesn't really mix very well in the smelting process. So even without the cementite process occurring from actual usage, there could be parts of the material that actually heat and cool at different rates because they have a slightly different make up.
  6. Well, quite an advert for the reliability of our cars  Seems that the world has conspired against us in some way. At least we can test drive the venue, location and routes, with a view to re-booking again for next year if we have a good weekend :thumbup1: 1. Craig+2 (booked) - No Zed 2. 7. cementite? http://trackdayzone.com/index.php/how-to-s-main-menu/hpde-how-to-s/114-the-final-word-on-brake-vibration-and-warped-rotors
  8. am debating whether to just ride up and forget the car, as the zed is not running. but that means following round on bikes or cadging lifts for 3 people
  9. should be fine, as going that way anyway :thumbup1: although assumes one of us can follow the route properly
  10. not too sure, probably agree that saturday night. but i doubt it would be before 9?
  11. there are a few of us that will be zedless for this unfortunately :( but will still be going regardless :) zeds might even be outnumbered at this rate...
  12. sorry Gary, looks like we wont be able to make it :( breaking the car has really put a spanner in the works this week.
  13. yes, sorry, forgot to add it. https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/
  14. i got my H3C fitting bulbs from here Gary, before i swapped to HID, if you were looking for a source?

  16. I cant find the saved map files, must have left them on my previous work laptop :( What i do have are the screen captures that i sent to confirm the route with Tony previously. I will have a go at recreating the google files again, but if anyone else is more adept, and also can upload to their own satnav and run point, then that would be ideal :thumbup1: We can change the second route, to go via Torver, Conston, Bowness, to get more scenic drivetime, and bypass the Museum altogether if we want, its all flexible. Map1: Fat Lamb to Wasdale Head Map2: Wasdale Head to Fat Lamb via Lakeland Motor Museum.
  17. They look like Mongoose/Blue Flame exhausts. Very popular, as they enhance the OEM look ;-)
  18. not if you wanted to use it for the purpose it was built for
  19. ok, will see what i can get to tonight, but i dont get home until 7, so not much light left by the time i start doing anything.
  20. its a bit deeper tone but similar to lifter rattle. comes in as soon as you put any load/revs, but not while idling. idles like it has a very slight misfire https://www.facebook.com/craig.stratton.3/posts/10212647045317177
  21. My car has developed a nasty rattle, on the way home from Battlesbridge and visiting GSC. So it will be off the road for a while while I get some advice on the problem and work out what to do. This means I will have my vw at the Lakes, Coventry, Simply Japanese, unless some miracle occurs. :( Might post some video clips tomorrow so we can play "name that tune"

have you got any details on jdmcombe and i can add to the list Jack. member enthusiasm for JAE has dropped off over the last few years, so we have not applied for a plot.
  23. still just the 5 of us? is it worth having a club stand, or just turning up together? lucky you remembered about it Russ :thumbup1:
  24. yes, but using the standard Royalmail postie service for parcels, rather than Parcelforce service. In my experience, the postie service has always been more reliable of the two.
