can’t really stand that type of “cringe” comedy. his original Ali G series was ok, but once he went out onto live chat shows, then into Borat etc, i lost interest. i get what he is trying to do, showing how stupid and hypocritical some of his guests are, but the uncomfortable cringey way its done is not for me

anyone got some? dont need lenses just the back and loom but will take the whole lot if they are available

strange you have extra posts Joel, when i might have expected you to have fewer, if you had blocked anyone? afaik, i am not sure if you can block others from seeing your own posts? but that would mean Gary and I were having our views restricted as i see same #numbers as him. might be worth you PM’ing us the list of posters in order or a screenshot, to see where the discrepancies are?

i often end up with as my “injury” when i get those accident claim calls, when i have some spare time.

if someone has stolen from you, they are just scum, and not the sort of person we want as a club or forum member. have you contacted them to encourage them to pay up or return your part, if you know who they are? if you want any of the committee to be involved, please let me, Gary, Richard or Lee know and we will see what we can do. the fact they bought via ebay and slagged the forum off suggests someone who may not be a current member and has probably not been in touch via this thread? but if they are current, thats shameful!

Interesting thread. Lots of good ideas, some new ideas, and some suggestions which we have already tried previously or are already in place. It is great to see that members still have the enthusiasm for the club, but the only way we it will work is with a concerted effort from the many not just the few. Let's use this as a turning point, and show ourselves we all have the commitment. :thumbup1:

ah, the "Latest Posts" link in the tool bar which had "unread", "memberlist", "messages" etc, underenath the main "home", "forum", etc toolbar? that still shows for me, so assume it is a user selected feature. will have a look

there is a little arrow button on the right hand side which hides/shows that content bar on the front page, has it been set to hide?

not sure what we will have Chris. its a weekend camping event, but i dont think any of us will be camping? so we probably need to agree on and pick a day, likely sunday, as the “public” day?

really good day, despite best efforts of the weather. saw a lot more of the museum and house than i was expecting, so no loss of interesting things to see either. well done to everyone that made it :thumbup1: zedded or zedless
