if we clear out the old member accounts, then all of the old historic posts going back to day one will also lose their poster detail and context. other than that, there is no specific reason they are kept except that it is easier to just install the upgrades etc and convert existing data. a lot of that number will also be deleted spammer accounts, as we do get a lot of those too

Travesty of the scrappage scheme ...
no no no, the problem cannot be with the manufacture process, nothing wrong there at all, as long as they are producing something greener than what it replaces. the problem is all with the consumer, once they have bought the product, they are suddenly the polluting, green house gas emitting tax cash cow to penalise for using the product.

Toyota Supra twin turbo
I think the Supra's appeal is because they came from the factory looking aggressive and purposeful, without having to start modifying it. Deep front, bonnet vent, rear wing, they all make the car look like it has been designed with performance in mind, to appeal to the people that like powerful cars. By comparison, although smooth and timeless, the 300 does not look aggressive or purposeful in the same way. Which is why the old school cars like Capri, Cosworth, Mexico's, etc still appeal with big money, because there were factory examples of the competition cars available. Nissan never really capitalised on their sporting achievements by releasing factory spec replicas etc, apart from a couple of the original Z's i believe. They just focussed on making them superior through understatement, with quietly exciting performance. That is until the GTR really took off, when the road going performance "look" started to make them take notice.

If that is available, then I will need everyone's menu choices the week before. Coventry 2018 Saturday night meal choices
Table for 20 is booked 8pm, as they already have a large party in at 5:30. This allows time for everyone to arrive, and for those of us to freshen up on return from Donington F1 collection. I have to send this to the restaurant 1 week before, so please update as soon as you can. Menu http://www.brewersfayre.co.uk/pub-restaurant-menus/Leicestershire/Marina-Hinckley.html Please enter you name and menu choices here, also indicate if you have bought a meal deal as part of the room. I have started the list off, will update once I look at the menu ;-) Name, starter, main, dessert, on a meal deal

Losing the love with the Z
With the level of attention you have put into the car, it would be a travesty to sell it based on just a feeling and whim. Storing it temporarily while you try something else would be a better option, as you would not have the sellers remorse, and will have the opportunity to go back to it in the future and see if you still feel the same way, in which case that is the better time to sell. If it was a car that you could easily pick up another in the same condition, like the modern cars you mention, then it wouldn't be such a hard choice, the regret will hit you hard if you make a snap decision. As others have said, I think you have let it consume your life too much the last year or so, and probably need some time away from it to reflect on the decision to sell, knowing that it is still available to you for a while.

Southend Area garage.
I hired a trailer for £80 for the weekend and took it myself from Peterborough. Would rather it went to the right place, regardless of hassle to get it there, than risk having the regret of a bad experience.

Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : NEC November 2018
The pictures are exact scale, so some of the gaps might be really tight on the day, and also, will need space for any lighting gear, banners etc that might be used on the stand, so it just might not be practical, but have plenty if time to finalise that :thumbup1:

Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : NEC November 2018
Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : Friday 9 - Sunday 11 November 2018 : NEC Great news! We have been allocated a 13m x 6m stand for NEC Classic Car Show 2018 and have highlighted where we are in Hall 5 in the pic. Have also attached the PDF so that you can read the other stand details better ;-) In theory, the stand is big enough for 5 cars, but that would leave little room for people. Some stand mock up some suggestions are also attached based on 5, 4 or 3 cars to go on the stand, so that we can discuss the merits of each, and eventually vote on how many cars we think should be displayed. The theme for the show this year is "Built to Last", so please also make suggestions on how we might theme our stand to reflect the show theme. Display Volunteers Subscribed Members only, please volunteer on this thread if you want the chance to display at the show. In addition, it would be ideal if all volunteers can attend the AGM Annual Meet in Coventry to enable members to see the cars in person before voting opens. Although attendance at Coventry is not a requirement to volunteer onto the shortlist. A voting thread will be posted after the AGM. To volunteer, you must be able to deliver your car to the NEC on morning of Thursday 8th of November and take away again on Sunday evening. Ideally we would like you to stay for the full duration of the show and help man the stand, etc, but that is up to you. Will update details of expected hotel costs etc later, as although advanced provisional bookings were made after the show last year, will need to check for any better deals.
